C10 To Cook for Young Master Mu

Ning Qianyu held onto the bag in her hand and stood in front of Mu Shengchen's apartment in Haoyuan District. Inside the bag was Mu Shengchen's coat that he previously put on her.

It would not seem too sudden if she brought along his coat to his apartment.

Ning Qianyu gulped her saliva and rang the doorbell.

Once the doorbell rang, there was sound of a wheelchair coming from inside, following by the door opened.

"Young Master Mu." Ning Qianyu was slightly surprised that Mu Shengchen would open the door himself.

"Come in." Mu Shengchen pursed his seductive lips charmingly, turned away and left in his wheelchair.

Ning Qianyu closed the door cautiously and followed him in.

"Young Master Mu, this is your coat, I've already washed it."

Mu Shengchen squinted his eyes, seemed unfocused, as if he did not hear what she said.

Ning Qinyu's face was filled with embarrassment, "Young Master Mu, have you eaten dinner yet?"

"Ye Xi had gone out." He did not answer Ning Qianyu's question directly, only said that Ye Xi was not there.

Ning Qianyu felt slightly uncomfortable with the way Mu Shengchen spoke. She then touched her nose and asked tentatively.

"Then how about let me make you some dinner?"

Mu Shengchen remained silent but did not reject her. He just sat in his wheelchair and head towards the study room.

Ning Qianyu rubbed her nose lightly, assuming that he had accepted it. She subsequently placed her bag on the couch, folded up her sleeves and entered the kitchen.

The kitchen was sparkling clean and there were varieties of kitchen equipment in it. All of them were brand new, almost blinded Ning Qianyu's eyes.

Thinking that it was impossible for two men to cook at home.

Ning Qianyu smiled wryly as she opened the refrigerator. It was full of ingredients, but they were all unused too. She then checked on the date of production and all of them were within the expiry date. She was suspected that the food in the fridge would be replaced at regular intervals.

After she found a bag of rice from the cabinet, finally, Ning Qianyu let out a sigh of relief, thinking that even a clever woman could not cook a meal without rice. It would be a challenge for her to even cook him dinner tonight if there were no rice.

Taking a few ingredients from the fridge, Ning Qianyu began to chop them up.

Mu Shengchen was sitting in the study room which was separated by the living room. He could even clearly hear the sound of cutting vegetables and pouring water from the tap. He could imagine the scene of Ning Qianyu cooking in the kitchen.

It was only when the phone on his desk rang that his thoughts were interrupted. He frowned slightly and picked up the phone.

"Young Master Chen, I've picked up Young Master Jing. What would you like to eat today? I'll bring it back to you" Ye Xi's voice came from the other end.

Mu Shengchen looked outside the study room and said indifferently, "Don't need."

"Not going to eat dinner?" Ye Xi asked in surprise. Mu Shengchen did not want to waste time taking to him and directly hung up the phone.

Ye Xi stared at the phone in his hand, which had already hung up, in confusion. There was a young man wearing sunglasses in the passenger seat. The sunglasses had covered half of his face, causing others unable to clearly see his appearance, "What's the matter?"

"It's nothing." Ye Xi slid his phone back into his pocket as his face sunk.

Liu Tie rolled his eyes and muttered, "Nothing? Ye Xi, can you don't always respond like a repeater? I really don't know how Shengchen could stand such a boring person like you."

Ye Xi glanced at Jing Rui and replied expressionlessly, "I'll need to head back to the apartment and check out Young Master Chen before sending you off."

"Alright, as usual, nothing is more important than your Young Master Cheng." Jing Rui shrugged his shoulders in agreement. After all, Mu Shengcheng was the boss. Jing Ru, on the other hand, had to sneak into A City, without bringing anyone along with him, not wanting anyone to know his whereabouts.

Ye Xi did not respond and drove the car out of the airport. However, Jing Rui seemed to be very used to Ye Xi's silence. When they were on the way to the apartment, he kept on talking and listening to Ye Xi's repeater-like responses.

Although Ning Qianyu's right arm was still wrapped in gauze, her cooking speed was still fast. Not long later, the aroma of food wafted out from the kitchen and filled the whole apartment.

When the door opened, Ning Qianyu guessed that Ye Xi had returned. She ran out of the kitchen with the spatula in her left hand.

Jing Rui opened the door and walked into the apartment. Immediately, he smelled the fragrance of food coming from the kitchen as his eyes sparkled.

"Ye Xi, why does is smell like someone is cooking? Could it be that Shengchen called for a delivery-"

Jing Rui stopped talking when he saw Ning Qianyu walked out of the kitchen.

"Miss Ning, you're here." Ye Xi came in from behind with documents in his arms. When he saw Ning Qianyu, he immediately greeted her.

"Assistant Ye, I'll continue cooking the dinner." Ning Qianyu did not expect to meet someone she did not recognize. She waved the spatula in her hand awkwardly and returned to the kitchen.

Jing Rui leaned his face close to Ye Xi and asked in a gossipy tone, "Ye Xi, who is this Miss Ning? Why is she cooking in Shengchen's apartment? Quick, tell me honestly!"

Seeing such gossipy Jing Rui, the corner of Ye Xi's mouth slightly twitched. "Young Master Jing, you can ask Young Master Chen about Miss Ning's identity yourself." After saying that, he carried the documents into Mu Shengchen's study room.

Jing Rui was so infuriated that he had to ask Shengchen? Would Shengchen even tell him? Obviously, Ye Xi did it on purpose! He looked in the direction of the kitchen as his eyes sparkled.

Jing Rui straightened his clothes and looked at himself in the mirror at the entrance. After making sure that he was looking handsome, he then walked into the kitchen.

Jing Rui went over to greet Ning Qianyu, who was busy cooking at the stove, "Hello, pretty. My name is Jing Rui."

"Hello." Ning Qianyu nodded politely and turned her gaze back to the fish in the wok.

"Do you need any help?" Jing Rui pointed at Ning Qianyu's bandaged hand.

Ning Qianyu glanced at Jing Rui, thinking that it was obvious that he was someone who had never entered the kitchen before. How could he even help? "It's okay, thank you."

After being rejected by Ning Qianyu, Jing Rui still did not feel awkward at all. He leaned against the kitchen door frame as he sized Ning Qianyu up and thought to himself, "Is she a nanny? No, Ye Xi wouldn't be so respectful to a nanny, and so secretive too. He then asked, "Miss Ning, are you and Shengchen familiar with each other? "

Ning Qianyu froze after hearing Jing Rui's question. She did not know how to introduce herself, should she introduce herself as Mu Shengchen's wife?

At this moment, Mu Shengchen's voice sounded from the living room which saved her just in time.

"Jing Rui, are you here to admire the kitchen?"

Jing Rui pointed at Ning Qianyu and left the kitchen. Ning Qianyu let out a quiet sigh of relief, placing the braised fish from the wok onto a plate and continued stir-frying the remaining dishes.
