C18 Move into Mu Shengchen's Apartment

Ning Qianyu had rented an old apartment outside the hub of City A.

Ever since the day she broke up with Mu Jinbo, all sorts of things happened and she did not have the time to go back.

Mu Jinbo had the key to her apartment too. Therefore, Ning Qianyu subconsciously wondered if he had gone there to find her during the past half month.

She opened the door of the apartment with a slight expectation. The furnishings in the room were exactly the same as when she left, without the slightest change.

It also meant that Mu Jinbo had never thought of coming here to ask her to stay for the past half month.

Ning Qianyu mocked herself. Ning Qianyu, oh Ning Qianyu, could it be that you still cling to the hope that the scumbag might returned?

Suddenly, a voice sounded from outside, "Miss Ning, are you back?"

Ning Qianyu turned around and walked out of the door, and saw the landlady staring at Ye Xi.

"Miss Ning, you're here" The landlady reached her head through the door way as she asked with a smile.

Ning Qianyu asked doubtfully, "Aunt, what's the matter?" She had already paid her rent for the entire year. By right, there was nothing else the landlady could talk to her about.

The landlady said embarrassedly, "Miss Ning, it's like this. My son suddenly came back from overseas with his girlfriend and they're planning to get married. Since we aren't very rich, they could only use this as their bridal room, so… I'm sorry, Miss Ning."

Since the landlady had already said this much, how could Ning Qianyu insist on renting this place? Besides, she was here to move her luggage to Mu Shengchen's place after all, therefore, she agreed.

In the end, she even lost her own home, she was really disappointed, yet she forced a smile, "Actually, today, I'm here to move my luggage away."

The landlady immediately returned the rest of Ning Qianyu's rent back to her happily.

"Then I'll have to trouble Miss Ning to move everything away today. That kid and his wife are currently living at my place."

"Alright." Ning Qianyu nodded. After seeing the landlady out, she returned to the apartment to pack her things.

She did not have many things in her house to begin with, but after she was in a relationship with Mu Jinbo, he would often come over, so, most of the things here belonged to him.

Ning Qianyu sighed and began to tidy up her room. After putting everything away, she walked to the door next to hers, she then took a deep breath, and opened it.

The furnishings inside were similar to Mu Jinbo's apartment in Hao Yuan. However, they were not as luxurious as the room in Hao Yuan's apartment and all arranged by Ning Qianyu.

Ning Qianyu did not move any of the furniture, just packing up all Mu Jinbo's clothes and the other things that he left behind from the cabinet. After packing, Ning Qianyu sat on the couch in the living room and took out her phone. And after giving a deep thought, she decided to call Mu Jinbo.

The call was picked up immediately and a familiar female voice greeted her, "Hello."

Ning Qianyu immediately recognized Qi Yuwei's voice. She was slightly stunned as she said, "I'm looking for Second Young Master Mu."

Qi Yuwei also recognized Ning Qianyu's voice and immediately said furiously, "Ning Qianyu, how dare you call Jinbo and pester him again?!"

Ning Qianyu sneered coldly within her. Did this Qi Yuwei think that Mu Jinbo was a treasure? What did she mean by pestering him? "Qi Yuwei, I'm not interested in pestering Mu Jinbo. I called him to ask whether he still wants those things left in my house. If not, I'll just throw them away."

"He doesn't want them anymore, throw them away. Also, Jinbo doesn't use this number anymore, so don't call him ever again," With that, Qi Yuwei hung up the phone.

Ning Qianyu's face sunk as she looked at the familiar number on the screen. Ning Qianyu tapped on the screen and a 'delete' button appeared. She did not hesitate and tapped on 'Yes'. The phone number that she had been calling for three years had now disappeared completely from Ning Qianyu's phone.

"Jinbo, our numbers are very similar."

"Then let's never change our number, okay?"

"Alright."

Ning Qianyu felt sarcastic when she thought about it.

She carried two of her luggage, and stood up. Ye Xi immediately walked in the apartment, "Miss Ning, let me help you."

Ning Qianyu glanced at Ye Xi, then handed the luggage bag on her left hand to Ye Xi, "Coul you please throw this away into the garbage bin downstairs? Thank you."

Ye Xi did not ask any further, directly took the bag, turned around and left.

Ning Qianyu looked back at the small apartment she had lived in for three years, then closed the door without a shred of nostalgia.

When she walked downstairs, Ye Xi was already waiting for him beside the car.

Then she got into the car and left the district.

By the time she returned to the Haoyuan District, it was already ten o'clock at night.

Mu Shengchen, who was sitting in the living room watching TV, saw Ye Xi carried Ning Qianyu's luggage into his apartment. Under the dim light, his face was slightly dark, making others unable to guess what was on his mind.

"Ye Xi, come in!" With that, Mu Shengchen moved in his wheelchair and entered the study room.

Ye Xi rubbed his nose and immediately had a hunch that something bad would happen! He did not dare to hesitate and hurriedly went after him.

Ning Qianyu stared curiously at the study room and carried her luggage into her room.

After entering the study, Mu Shengchen sat on the wheelchair silently, gazing out the window at the dark night without saying a word.

On the other hand, Ye Xi nervously stole glances at him, but did not dare to speak.

After a long while, Mu Shengchen turned around and said, "Ye Xi, you are getting bolder now!"

Ye Xi lowered his head, "Young Master Chen, I'm wrong!"

"What's wrong?" Mu Shengchen's voice was cold, Ye Xi could even feel the coldness biting into his bones.

"I shouldn't have given Young Master Jing your injuries details without your consent."

All Ye Xi wanted was his legs to be fully recovered, and Jing Rui kept on saying that there was hope, therefore, he sent all the details to Jing Rui.

"Is this the only thing you did without my permission?"

Ye Xi lifted his head in shock and glanced at Mu Shengchen. When he saw that Young Master Chen was not mad, he immediately felt reassured.

"Just this…" Ye Xi said in a voice filled with guiltiness when he suddenly remembered that he let Ning Qianyu moved into the apartment without Mu Shengchen's consent too.

Mu Shengchen stared at Ye Xi and warned him, "Next time, if you dare to make a decision without my permission, you can pack your stuff and go back to your hometown."

"I'll not do it again." Phew, that was close. Luckily, Young Master Chen did not notice.

Mu Shengchen raised his thick eyebrows, tapped his slender fingers on his knee nonchalantly, while he squinted his eyes at Ye Xi.

"From tomorrow onwards, you will take charge of the establishment of a subsidiary in City A."

"Young Master Chen, a subsidiary in City A?" Did he misheard him?

Mu Shengchen did not answer Ye Xi, but said, "I want to see the results at the end of the month."

"Young Master Chen, it's impossible to accomplish it at the end of the month..." Ye Xi wailed. Young Master Chen did not seem to be mad but why did he assign him such a difficult task?

Mu Shengchen's voice sounded passed his ears, "Oh? What's the matter? Do you think it's too long? Then, how about showing me the result in the middle of the month?"

Ye Xi immediately haggled, "Can the deadline be in the middle of next month?"

"I want to see the result in two days," Mu Shengchen did not bother Ye Xi. If he could not even handle such a small matter working with him, then Ye Xi would have long packed up his things and returned to his hometown.

"I guarantee that I will be able to complete the task by the end of the month," Ye Xi grieved within him. Young Master Chen was really ruthless! As expected, the evil Young Master Chen was not to be trifled with. He would definitely murder someone without a trace.
