C30 Fall by Accident

Ning Qianyu stared at her phone and shook her head. She then went into the living room and opened the drawer of the tea table, seeing several stacks of sealed cash in there.

She took a few dollar notes, locked the drawer and went out for grocery shopping.

After buying groceries from the supermarket near her residential area, Ning Qianyu used her left hand to carry all the bags and walked into the entrance of the residential area. She was stupefied and stood aside instantly after she saw familiar-looking Poshe stopped beside her.

The car window was rolled down and Mu Jinbo stuck his head out of the window.

"Ning Qianyu, are you looking for me?"

"No," Ning Qianyu said indifferently and continue walking into the apartment.

Mu Jinbo's gaze fell on the bags she was struggling to carry in her left hand, and then shifted his gaze to her face, "Wait, don't tell me you're living here? With your doctor's salary, you wouldn't be able to afford a house here, would you?" It was not that Mu Jinbo looked down on Ning Qianyu. In their three years of relationship, although, Ning Qianyu's salary was high compared to an average person, in his eyes, the amount of her salary was pathetically little.

"How could I possibly afford to buy an apartment in this area with that little amount of salary? But don't forget, my husband owned an apartment here," Ning Qianyu gave Mu Jinbo a nonchalant glance before walking away from his car with the bags in her hand and headed towards the building at the back.

Seeing that Ning Qianyu had entered the building where her brother lived as she told him, Mu Jinbo slammed the steering wheel furiously, with an ear-piercing honking sounds, yet Ning Qianyu did not look back.

The honking sound passed through her ears along with the cursing voice of a driver, "Why are you blocking the entrance? Are you entering or not?"

Mu Jinbo was already holding in his anger. Now that someone was scolding him, it was like adding fuel to the fire. He immediately got out of the car and angrily pulled the driver out of the car behind him and started beating him up.

Ning Qianyu did not about what had happened, but even if she did, she would just be a spectator watching the show.

Originally, she thought that she would be heartbroken to see Mu Jinbo again. Only now did she realize that to her, he was nothing more than someone she knew. Unknowingly, there did not even seem to be any hatred left between them. She did not even know what had changed her? Out of the blue, Mu Shengchen's face appeared in her mind and following by the scenes of their daily life.

"I can only see the differences after comparing them." Ning Qianyu mocked herself.

"What differences after comparing?" She heard someone saying that as the door opened from the inside.

Mu Shengchen was staring at her with his arms crossed.

"How did you know I came back?" Ning Qianyu's face was filled with disbelief.

"Secret," After saying that, Mu Shengchen took the bag from Ning Qianyu's hand and frowned after feeling the weight of the bags.

"It's very heavy. Let me do it," Ning Qianyu closed the door, changed her shoes and caught up to Mu Shengchen.

"I'm a man," Mu Shengchen looked at Ning Qianyu in a serious manner.

"Pfft, no one doubts that," Ning Qianyu was amused and tried to snatch back the bags. She accidentally kicked the carpet, tripped, and fell forward. Just when she was about to fall on the ground, a strong arm grabbed her waist.

"I think you just did," Ning Qianyu sat on Mu Shengchen's thighs as he pulled her into his arms.

Their breaths were entangled with each other and their faces were so close to each other too. Ning Qianyu lifted her head and gazed into his eyes. She was caught off guard and being hypnotized by Mu Shengchen's gaze.

"N-No." Her voice was trembling, not knowing where to place her hands.

Mu Shengchen was slightly shocked, he let go of Ning Qianyu and asked in a hoarse voice, "Where do I put the bags?"

Ning Qianyu suddenly felt heat growing in her cheek as she pointed in the direction of the dining room, "Just put that on the dining table will do."

Mu Shengchen drove the wheelchair away and came back, noticing Ning Qianyu was still standing there in a daze, then reminded her, "I've put them down."

"Oh, I'll go and tidy it up then," Ning Qianyu ran into the dining room in a fluster, lowering her head.

Her black pupils reflected the figure of that woman fleeing, looking like a shocked little bunny. Mu Shengchen then came back to his senses and his gaze fell on his erected genital area, then frowned.

He lost count of the times he had lost control of himself. He was unsure when he had started to lose control when he was with her.

This must not happen again, she was just a pawn, a pawn that made Mu Jinbo suffered. Mu Shengchen warned himself, but deep in his heart, there was a voice that raised doubts. Was she really just a chess piece?

Mu Shengchen did not want to pursue the matter any further, only kept reminding himself that Ning Qianyu was only a pawn.

At seven in the morning, Ning Qianyu left her room as usual to prepare breakfast.

However, when she opened the door, she found that Mu Shengchen had changed his clothes and was sitting in the living room, waiting for her. Seeing that Ning Qianyu had come out, Mu Shengchen said lightly, "Get prepared, we'll go out for breakfast."

"Huh?" Go out for breakfast?

Mu Shengchen turned around and looked at her again.

She touched her nose, returned to her room to get her bag, and walked out.

"Done?" Mu Shengchen swept a cold gaze at Ning Qianyu.

Ning Qianyu looked down at her shirt and jeans, looking casually. Was it not suitable for breakfast?

"Is there a problem?"

Ning Qianyu looked at Mu Shengchen curiously, only left her alone standing there.

After leaving the district, Ning Qianyu was about to push Mu Shengchen to get a taxi but she was stopped by Mu Shengchen.

"There's no need to take a taxi. The Cloudy Heavens Tower is just right at the intersection ahead. Let's just walk there will do."

Ning Qianyu lowered her head to look at Mu Shengchen. If it was his previous self, he definitely would not ask her to have pushed him over since he was afraid that people might judge him.

And today, Mu Shengchen actually suggested to take a walk. Obviously, he was in a good mood.

Ning Qianyu smiled noticing Mu Shengchen's good mood.

"It's actually quite nice to take a walk every day too. Look at the greenery around you, they're soothing for your eyes," Ning Qianyu pushed Mu Shengchen as she walked at a leisurely pace, talking to Mu Shengchen along the way. Mu Shengchen looked gloomy, unable to delve into his thoughts.

Soon, they had arrived at the opposite side of the Cloud Soaring Building. Ning Qianyu stopped and looked at the tall building in front of her. This was the largest commercial building in City A, also the most bustling area.

Where was he going for breakfast? Ning Qianyu looked around for a place for breakfast.

There seemed to be only a few famous restaurants nearby!

"Hey, look who's this cripple?"

Then, he saw a young man in a grey suit walking over, with a woman dressed fashionably in his arm. The woman was holding a Louis Vuitton bag in her left hand, wearing heavy makeup. The man's face was filled with mockery and disgust when he saw Mu Shengchen.
