C22 Somebody Help Me!

Wang Dandan frowned. Fear bubbled in her stomach, but she quickly pushed it back. "Forget it," she murmured, waving her hand. "Even if she meets that pervert, I'm sure she'll consider it her lucky night."

Gu Tianqi's face immediately darkened.

The only reason Du Xiaoxiao was that she had been forced to go to the back alley. If there were rumors that the pervert was just lounging around the alley, then she might...

He pushed the car door with brute force and stepped out of the car. His eyebrows were furrowed, and his eyes darkened intensely. There was a certain dominance to his movements–one that could attract everyone's attention.

"Where's the back alley?"

He was driving a very expensive sports car. Even Wang Dandan had to slow down just to see what model the car was and who was driving it. What she didn't expect was for Gu Tianqi himself to step out of the ride.

Her heart skipped a beat, and she couldn't find it in himself to say another word.

"The back alley, where is it?" he snapped again.

"It's at the back of the Charm Hotel, just turn left at that road." Wang Dandan's colleague immediately filled in. His hands were trembling in his sides as he swallowed.

There was something about the man's expression that could make anyone run for the hills.

Gu Tianqi scowled. "If something really happens to her, then you all better be prepared." He didn't even wait for them to speak up as he stalked right into the back alley.

Wang Dandan was still in a daze. It was only when he had left did she finally come back to her senses. Her face paled sheet white, and her hands started shaking. Was he serious? Of course, he was!

"What you said–it's just a coincidence, right?" she stuttered. "There's no pervert in the back alley, right?"

Her companions were also shaking in their feet. "I–we knew nothing about this, we didn't ask her to go anyway," one of them finally spoke up, pointing a finger at the woman. "You're the one who asked her to go! If anything were to happen, you'll be the one to blame."

"What are you saying?" Wang Dandan snapped. "It's not like I knew this would happen."

All the women could feel despair wrenching in their hearts. The best they could do was pray that Du Xiaoxiao wouldn't be running into any trouble. The last thing they needed was to have the richest man in the city running after them.

However, it seemed that all their prayers were futile.

Du Xiaoxiao's screams echoed across the dark as she struggled against the man's hold. "Somebody!" she yelled over and over again, trying to rid herself of the man's wandering hands. "Help me! Help me please!"

The man was very strong. He used his legs to steady her trembling legs, locking her to the wall. "You can't run away, little girl," he whispered. "Besides, in a city like this, no one would care whether you live or die."

She shook, struggling with all her might.

"I don't want this! I don't...please, just let go of me!" She squinted her eyes. All she could see was the beam of light practically blinding her sight.

Suddenly, before she could think, the man had already ripped open her front shirt, showcasing her lace underwear. She gasped, but before she could try and cover herself, the man stopped her.

"Now, what are you struggling for?" he said snidely. "I already said I'll give you the money, won't I? No need to struggle."

"I...please, I really don't want the money," she stuttered. "Look, you–you can find another woman who's willing to be with you, just...just please, I'm begging you. Don't touch me...stop this..."

Deep despair crawled up and down her skin, but no matter how strong she tried to wrench herself from the man, he still managed to hold her into place.

What had she done wrong? That she'd encounter this?

"Are you talking about prostitutes, little girlie? Too bad for you, because I like my women a bit better than that. Don't struggle, will you love?" He slowly pulled down her pants before leaning in close. His bad breath clouded vicinity, and she could feel tears rolling down her cheeks. "I'm sure you'll feel comfortable in a bit."

No...No!

"I don't want you!"

"You bitch! I already told you to stop moving, didn't I?" Having enough, the man slapped her right on the face. The skin at the corner of her lips broke, and blood trickled down to her chin. Pain soared through her face, but it was nothing compared to the fear burning in her chest.

Every time he touched her, she could feel her skin crawling in disgust. Every time his lips neared her skin, she thought of dying right there and then. All she wanted was for him to be gone.

"You wanted to shout, right? Shout then!" The man violently pinched the sides of her mouth, slamming her head up against the wall. "Come on! See if anyone will appear. Women like you always think they're so pure and pristine, but after a little shot of this, you wouldn't be able to get enough."

"Help...me..." She had been screaming for half an hour that she could barely make a sound. When she tried to shout, she only erupted into a series of coughs.

Who was she going to call out? Who would even help her?

She was all alone here...No one would come and save her.

Tears continuously rolled down her cheeks, and she could feel her entire body stiffening in realization.

Perhaps this was her ending. The man would take her, and she wouldn't be able to escape. No one would come to save her...no one...

She was all alone in this world.

What exactly was she expecting?

Just as she was about to close her eyes, she could hear a voice shouting from a distance, "Du Xiaoxiao!"

Gu Tianqi?

Was that his voice? But...how could he be here?

What was happening?

The man who had been leaning against her immediately staggered back. His face morphed into one of anger as he looked to the side, wanting to know the asshole who was ruining his plans.

But before he could, Gu Tianqi landed his foot right on his face.

He immediately flew back as his back slammed against the pavement. He could feel his teeth being blown out of proportions–some even falling to his tongue. He coughed, spitting out blood. "What the hell?"

"You bastard!" Gu Tianqi didn't let this man go. Even when he was already lying down, he stepped on the man's side and kicked him again and again. With each kick, a resounding crack echoed across the alley. No matter how many times the man wailed and begged, he just kept kicking.

Du Xiaoxiao backed away in the corner, hugging her knees. She grabbed the flashlight close to her as she stared at the scene in a daze. In all her life, the only person who had ever protected her was Du Hengyu.

Whenever her brother was angry, he'd do the same thing. Kicking him till they pleaded for mercy...

Only then did she snap out of it. "Don't kick him anymore," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "You'll kill him."

She could see how much weight he had been using on his foot. If he didn't stop, the rapist really was going to die.

"A scumbag like him shouldn't be living in this world anyway," he said coldly. "It's good that he's dead."

"You still can't kill people," she said anxiously. "That doesn't make things right."

However, he didn't listen to her at all. All he could see was the man's battered body as his foot slammed against his ribs over and over again. He twisted and turned, but it was already to no avail.

Her heart raced in her chest.

He didn't need to do this...not even for her.

Seeing that he still wasn't listening to her, she struggled to get up. She leaned against the wall as she took a step forward, hugging him from behind. She exhaled shakily.

"Please stop," she whispered.

Gu Tianqi could feel his entire body stiffening as he felt her trembling figure leaning against him. With a frown, he stared at the fallen man on the ground before turning back to his woman.

She was still shaking.

Sweat beaded down her forehead as she gazed up at him–fear evident in her eyes. What had the man done to her? He clenched his fists, his gaze hardening.

Her shirt was also torn.

Even in such a dark area, he could still see every detail.

He didn't even waste any time as he grabbed his suit and wrapped it around the young woman.

A sound echoed from behind him, and when he glanced his way, the man had already got up. He didn't even waste any time as he stumbled right out of the alleyway, coughing out blood.

Gu Tianqi glared at his retreating figure, but he made no moves to chase him.

He could find him later if he wanted to. Now, all he wanted was to pacify the woman in front of him.

He stared at her for a long time. While he may be a great businessman, he wasn't exactly the most empathic person in the world. He didn't know what to do. "It's okay," he said a bit more forcefully than he had initially intended. "You don't have to be afraid anymore."

"I..." As she heard this, she felt like crying even more.
