C13 A Big Play 1

Protector B's eyes suddenly turned bloodshot, and his face twisted grotesquely as he let out a chilling scream. Along with his screams, a pole clattered to the ground and rolled away.

"Ah! His, his... What happened to his hand?!" The wet nurse's cry of alarm pierced the air, spurred by the ghastly sight before her.

From her perspective, the stick had simply fallen to the ground because Protector B could no longer grip it, which seemed unremarkable. But the true horror lay in Protector B himself, who stood motionless. The hands that had been holding the stick were now violently torn from his shoulders! One arm dangled limply, swaying inside the sleeve, while the other, drenched in blood, had fallen from his sleeve to the ground.

A hand, smeared with red and yellow blood, lay severed from the shoulder on the ground...

The wet nurse sharply inhaled a cold breath. Mu Yunhua quickly reached out to steady her, noting the nurse's ashen face and terror-stricken expression. Regret washed over her; she had inadvertently terrified the nurse.

If only she had known, she would have used fewer gravity talismans on the stick. A simple dislocation would have sufficed, not this gruesome, bloody scene.

Mu Yunhua's own expression was grim. She had indeed tampered with the stick, imbuing it with a Gravity Talisman, which, as the name suggests, significantly increased the object's weight.

Ordinarily, talismans required cinnabar and yellow paper to create, but Mu Yunhua was different. She could craft talismans out of thin air, a skill known only to her and her master.

Therefore, the weight of the stick in Protector B's grasp had far exceeded a thousand jin, a mass not easily managed by mere human strength.

A thousand jin is an immense weight; even the legendary Xiang Yu would struggle to lift a cauldron of such heft.

The force of a thousand jin plummeting is unstoppable by human effort, and so his hands were inevitably ripped apart.

With a single agonized scream, Protector B collapsed to the ground, convulsing, his fate unknown.

"He's dead, he's dead..." Defender A collapsed onto the ground, legs giving out beneath him, staring blankly at Protector B's prone form.

Mu Yunhua cast a glance at him and cautioned, "Don't start panicking if the person isn't dead yet. But if you don't go for help now, we might actually have a death on our hands."

The guard finally scrambled to his feet, his voice barely louder than a mosquito's buzz, "Dead... there's a... dead person..."

"Louder!" Mu Yunhua commanded sharply. To the guard, she seemed more fearsome than any ghoul or goblin. He mustered his strength and bellowed, "There's a dead person, help! Someone, come quickly!"

Watching the guard trip and stumble away, Mu Yunhua steadied the rigid nurse as they passed by the second courtyard and effortlessly slid the bolt off the door.

"Aren't we going to save him?" the nurse's voice quivered.

Mu Yunhua swung the door open with a push and turned to her, "You wanted to leave, didn't you? Now the door's open. Do you want to go, or stay and try to save this man?"

Reminded by Mu Yunhua's words, the nurse's eyes darted to the street beyond the mansion's gates. Indeed, the gates were open, and they could flee as soon as they stepped out. Why should she stay for someone who was a stranger, especially one who had insulted their young lady?
