C13 A Big Play 1

Protector B's eyes turned bloodshot, and his face contorted in agony as he let out a harrowing scream. Accompanying his cries, a pole hit the ground with a clatter and rolled away.

"Ah! His, his... What's wrong with his hand?!" The wet nurse's alarmed shout echoed through the air, a reaction to the horrifying sight she had witnessed.

In her view, the stick had merely dropped because Protector B could no longer hold it, which seemed unremarkable at first. However, the true terror was with Protector B himself, who remained eerily still. His hands, which had been clutching the stick, were now gruesomely torn from his shoulders! One arm hung lifelessly, swinging inside the sleeve, while the other, soaked in blood, had dropped from his sleeve onto the ground.

A hand, stained with a mix of red and yellow blood, lay on the ground, severed from the shoulder...

The wet nurse gasped sharply, drawing in a breath of cold air. Mu Yunhua quickly reached out to support her, noticing the nurse's pale face and frightened expression. A sense of regret filled her; she had unintentionally scared the nurse.

Had she known, she would have applied fewer gravity talismans to the stick. A simple dislocation would have been enough, not this bloody, violent outcome.

Mu Yunhua's expression was equally somber. She had indeed altered the stick, applying a Gravity Talisman to it, which, as the name implies, made the object much heavier.

Typically, talismans are made with cinnabar and yellow paper, but Mu Yunhua was unique. She could create talismans out of thin air, a talent only she and her master were privy to.

Thus, the weight of the stick in Protector B's hands had exceeded a thousand jin, a weight not easily managed by human strength.

A thousand jin is an enormous weight; even the legendary Xiang Yu would have found it challenging to lift a cauldron that heavy.

The force of a thousand jin falling cannot be stopped by human effort, which naturally resulted in his hands being torn apart.

Protector B let out a single scream of agony before collapsing to the ground, convulsing, his fate uncertain.

"He's dead, he's dead..." Defender A fell to the ground, his legs failing him, as he stared blankly at Protector B's motionless body.

Mu Yunhua looked at him and warned, "Don't panic if the person isn't dead yet. But if you don't get help now, we might indeed have a death on our hands."

The guard finally scrambled to his feet, his voice barely louder than a mosquito's buzz, "Dead... there's a... dead person..."

"Louder!" Mu Yunhua commanded sharply. The guard, finding her more terrifying than any monster or demon, mustered his strength and bellowed, "There's a dead person, help! Someone, come quickly!"

As Mu Yunhua watched the guard trip and stumble away, she steadied the rigid nursemaid as they passed by the second courtyard and effortlessly slid the bolt off the door.

"Aren't we going to save him?" the nursemaid's voice quivered.

Mu Yunhua swung the door open with a push and turned to her, "You wanted to leave, didn't you? Now the door's open. Do you want to go, or stay and try to save this man?"

Reminded by Mu Yunhua's words, the nursemaid's eyes darted to the street beyond the mansion's gates. Indeed, the gates were open, and they could flee as soon as they stepped out. Why should she stay for someone who was a stranger, especially one who had insulted their young lady?
