C5 THE CLINGY LITTLE KID
Tyla quickly got out of the shotgun seat with trembling hands. She rushed to inspect the little kid who was nearly smashed by her car.
Fortunately, he was okay.
She took a sigh of relief, but her heart couldn’t help but tremble when she met the Kid’s watery eyes.
What shocked Tyla was that the little guy seemed unfazed by the accident. Instead, he stared deeply at Tyla.
Tyla crouched down at the little guy's height. Rubbed his smooth curly black hair and said,
“Hey, where are your parents? It’s already so late. How could they bear to let you go out on your own?” Tyla complained worriedly, but the kid didn’t respond to her words and kept staring deeply at her.
Thinking that he might have been scared into speechlessness, Tyla hugged the boy into her arms and rubbed his head. “It’s okay, big sister is here. She won’t let you get hurt.” The little kid’s body was so cold, and it looked like he had been out there for a long time. “How long have you been out?”
Ava, on the other hand, slowly got out of the car. Her situation was much worse than Tyla's. Her feet were already numb, and she held the car panel, slowly making her way to the front. “Say, little boy, what are you doing out here at this time? The amusement park here closes by 6pm. How could you still be out so late at night?” Ava gritted her teeth. She couldn’t help but shiver. What if the car had hit the child? She and Tyla become murderers if the child dies accidentally. Ava vehemently shook off the negative thoughts, ‘scared this big lady to death.’
The little guy didn’t pay attention to Ava at all, he only glanced at her perfunctorily and refocused his gaze on Tyla.
Tyla is still hugging him tightly. “ Gosh, you will get a cold. You must have stayed out here for so long…” She rubbed the little guy's cold fingers together. Trying to pass warmth to them.
“Tyla, we should report this to the police, maybe his parents might find him there.” Ava suggested, trying to reason out.
“It’s good to report to the authorities, but look, his lips are pale. He might pass out before we finish all the formalities.” Tyla wasn’t afraid of the consequences, after all, her relatives were police officers. She could just take the little guy home and sort out the issue tomorrow.
Ava paused for a while and shrugged, “OK then. But you are the one cleaning this up.” Tyla’s parents aren’t short on money. They could deal with any issues. As for her, her parents deal with the entertainment industry. The issue of custody isn’t her problem.
“Oh come on. We are in this together.” Tyla murmured and Ava rolled her eyes. Ava could see the little guy wearing branded clothes all through. She hopes today’s issue will be easy to resolve.
Suddenly, without further ado, Tyla embraced the boy and stood up. The little kid, as though seeking comfort, leaned tightly into her embrace. He wounded his little arms around her neck, without vigilance at all.
Tyla sighed, worried that if she had not gotten here first, who knew if the child would run into child smugglers?
Ava rolled her eyes, Tyla could be very strong, saucy and brave. But her heart is the warmest.
Tyla wanted to put the kid in the passenger seat, but he hugged her tighter and refused to let go. She tried a few more times and decided it was fruitless. She heaved a deep breath and said to Ava. “Can you help me hold him for a moment?”
Ava sighed and tilted her body downwards to help hold the little kid, but the little guy refused. Ava was shocked! Did she just get rejected?
She tried once more but the kid still refused.
“I want… Momma’s… hug.” Dylan’s voice was very weak and hoarse. When Tyla heard his words, realization dawned on her. It seemed like he was either a stutterer or suffering from slight autism.
Ava decided to ride the car towards the mall.
Considering the presence of the little kid with them, Ava and Tyla bought more groceries.
Tyla wanted the food to be very fresh and healthy and drove to a nearby vegetable stall and bought pumpkin, sweet potatoes, ball pepper, onions and carrots. She wants to make fried rice and sauce. Hopefully , the little guy will love it. Ava couldn’t wait for Tyla to cook. Who doesn’t like a deliciously cooked meal?
Tyla has a very rare personality, her hobbies are endearing. She has good talents and a natural affinity for learning. Ava smirked happily, Tyla is the best friend one could ever have in the whole world. She just fills in the quota of friendship demands.
The car made its way to the penthouse and Tyla carried the clingy little kid down first. Then, she walked back to assist Ava to bring in the groceries they bought.
Ava freshened up in one of the available rooms, while Tyla took the little boy together with him.
While dressing the little kid up, her phone pinged. A message was dropped. Thinking that it was about work, she grabbed the phone and clicked on the contents of the message when she saw it was from David.
Wondering what the problem was, Tyla clicked on the message and what she saw astonished her greatly.
“The boss is looking for his son. He is missing.” Tyla took in a sharp breath. Why would David inform her about Kelvin’s personal issues? David hadn't done such a thing before. This could only mean the severity of the situation!
Kelvin, that cold-hearted man, has a son?? When, where, how?
