C18 Moving Out, Moving In.

“Filming will start next month until then, make sure you are familiar with your script,” her agent told her and she nodded in agreement.

“Do you have social media?” her agent asked her.

“I do, but I’ve never really used it,” Iris answered honestly.

“The company will arrange an account for you, don’t post anything on it casually. Make sure to pass things by me before you post anything,” her agent said, and Iris nodded. It wasn’t like she had much interest in social media anyway.

“We’ll arrange accommodation for you in a more secure area.

“Okay,” Iris agreed once more. She would agree to anything they ask of her at this point.

“We’ll pick you up the day after tomorrow, so try to pack up all your necessities by then. You can move everything else slowly,” her agent said, and Iris nodded. After a series of requests, she arranged for her van to take her back home so she could start packing her things.

Iris sat in the spacious van, a small smile still on her lips as she opened the script that she had just received. The van was fully tinted, so it was slightly darker inside. She’ll have to really thank David later.

She gave her road manager her address and relaxed in the air-conditioned van as she looked through her script.

It did not take long before she was dropped off in front of her house. After saying goodbye, she went to her apartment. She collapsed on her bed as soon as she entered her room. She took a short nap before she woke up and started to pack up her things.

She was very willing to cooperate with her manager’s requests, so she did not dare to challenge her on this. She let them work on what they could as she did what she could.

Whenever she was resting from packing, she could be found going through her script. The character she had chosen was not the typical female lead, but the hateful antagonist. She was not only going to be plotting and scheming against the lead couple.

At some point, she had even succeeded in getting the male lead on her court and almost succeeded in her plots.

She had chosen a very interesting and dynamic character. She knew that acting as the innocent female lead all the time would limit her image too much that was why she picked such a script.

She also knew that her own personality was not in line with most female lead roles that were currently available.

She was not a good person, but she was a decent person. She was not the type of person to refuse other people’s help for the sake of morality. As long as she could benefit, she had no qualms about receiving favours.

The only thing was that for her to make such choices, she needed to know what it was going to cost her and if she could afford it. That was why David was special. She had gotten a lot of benefits from him and had no qualms about how she was going to repay this favour.

With the continuation of her new routine, Iris had finished packing by the night of the next day. She had been so busy she hadn’t been able to contact David. It looked like David was busy as well as he had also not made any move to contact her either.

When her road manager came to pick her up with a moving truck, the following day she felt very touched. Even if she was still in disbelief about being signed at LyonStar, she now had to believe it as she stood in the centre of her new apartment.

Her old apartment was a studio apartment, and her new apartment had two bedrooms. It was fully furnished, and she really did not need anything besides her personal belongings. Her road manager helped her bring up her things and only left after she told him that she did not need anything else.

Iris went through the apartment and explored the place before she started unpacking her things. She wanted to laze around, but that felt uncomfortable.

Iris spent the whole evening unpacking her things and ordered in her dinner. She hadn’t talked to David since she had thanked him for such a huge opportunity. She had been busy late into the night and tried her luck in contacting him. Surprisingly, David picked up her call.

“Hello?” she said when he picked her call.

“Hello,” David said, sounding serious.

“Where are you?” Iris asked, and after a long pause, David told her that he was in his office.

“I missed you,” Iris said, but was met with silence from the other side. What else could she say?

“Is that so?” David answered, his tone full of teasing. She was very tempted to tease him back, but she was reluctant since he was her boss now.

“Mmmh, I got a new place. When will you visit me? I’ve been waiting for months,” Iris said bluntly. She had really been waiting for him for a while, and he was still unwilling to indulge her in this. David was silent for quite a while. He was still unsure of how to answer her.

“Make sure to come over before I’m busy for half a year,” Iris said when she realised that David was not going to answer her question.

“Mmmh,” David replied, and Iris smiled helplessly at this response.
