C21 EVA.

The following day Iris made a lot of mistakes during filming because of her complicated mood. She did not doubt her own feelings for David, rather; she was afraid that she was forcing the man to do things that he did not want to just to placate her.

She did not want such a relationship and wanted both of them to be happy if ever they ended up having a relationship. As a result, Iris ended up making mistakes while shooting, annoying the director to no end.

Her assistant even pulled her aside to discuss the script with her to make sure that she was properly understanding it before humiliating herself.

She was not embarrassed about all the NG scenes she had managed to accumulate throughout the day, but rather, how this opportunity would end up slipping her by because of her own recklessness. So in no time, she was able to recompose herself and get back into shooting.

She wanted to call David after work after the unfinished talk they had yesterday, but she felt that it was about time that he had missed her and come out looking for her instead of her always taking the initiative. She would just be disappointed repeatedly if she acted so brazenly.

What she wanted was for him to express himself a bit more, but it was unfortunate that David was on the quiet side so when she decided not to bother him, he figured that she was busy since she had not reached out in a long time. Unfortunately, this did not go the way she had anticipated it to, and as a result, David did not call her at all.

In reality, even though Iris was not the main character, she was ridiculously busy. After a month of filming, the director called the actors that were taking part in the drama for an announcement.

“In two days, the popular singer Eva is going to take part in filming as Iris’s older sister. She is going to be filming her scenes for the rest of the week, so please cooperate with her,” the director said to everyone on set. It was not an official meeting, but an announcement instead.

After Iris listened to him, she went on the internet to look for Eva. When she saw that they signed her to LyonStar, her nervousness increased by half. She knew the quality of LyonStar artists, so she was rightfully intimidated.

This caused her to be even more serious while memorizing her script so that she did not make any stupid mistakes in front of her senior. SO for the next two days, Iris doubled her efforts, not bothering with David at all.

ON the day that Eve was arriving, Iris had scenes to shoot that morning, so after shooting two hours, Eve finally arrived. When she got to the set, a bunch of people who were asking for her autograph surrounded the popular singer.

Iris stood at the side as she watched the commotion in amusement. The director was annoyed because everyone was keeping Eva from preparing her hair and makeup for the scene that she had to take with her sister.

“Where is my sister?” Eva asked loudly after she had had enough of being nagged and asked for autographs. Iris was dumbfounded for a moment before moving forward.

“Show me to the dressing room,” Eva said to Iris, and Iris took the lead to take her there. Eventually, she had to hold her hand just, so she did not get separated from her because of the crowd. When they finally reached Eva's dressing room, Iris was already ready to leave her some privacy.

“You are Iris right?” Eva asked as she sat in front of the vanity. Iris nodded her head and looked at the blue-eyed blonde curiously.

“I can see why you were signed,” Eva said. And as much as those words could easily be misinterpreted, the tone of voice on which she said them did not show any contempt at all. In fact, she just sounded curious about everything that was already happening.

Iris looked at her for a few seconds but did not comment. She did not want to create any ambiguous situations with David, even though he would have probably enjoyed it if she did.

When Eva did not receive a response, she did not push with her questioning but instead changed the topic to something the both of them could talk about.

As they were in the dressing room, the two women got even closer, so when the time for filming came, the two were already fond of and familiar with each other. It was not difficult for them.

The two of them had a tacit understanding, and all the scenes Eva shot with Iris did not need more than three takes. Iris was not aware, but the artists at her agency were inquisitive about her since she was the first person who had managed to take part because of personal connection. It was especially so because those connections involved the big boss, so everyone wanted to know the type of girl the boss fancied.

Eva tried not to have a lot of expectations, especially considering the fact that the big boss had lost his wife so he might end up rebounding with anyone who was willing. However, her expectations were met and exceeded once she saw Iris. She was so beautiful it was surreal. She also seemed to be very hardworking and also had a lot of self-awareness.

Iris’s filming schedule got hectic for the following week because they had to adhere to Eva’s schedule, therefore, another week passed without her seeing or talking to David.

She was also so tired every time she came back home that she did not even think of contacting him and just freshened up before climbing into her bed and falling asleep like a corpse every day.

Just like this, another month passed by and Iris finished filming the drama. On the last day of filming, the director had invited everyone out for the last dinner and Iris joined them as she was not in a position to deny them.

At the dinner, she ended up overeating and over-drinking because of how much she had to restrict her diet over the past two months. As she sat on the long table while tipsy and looking at everyone have fun, she suddenly had the urge to call David.

She pulled her phone out of her purse and searched for his contacts before calling him. It did not take long before he answered the call.

“David?” Iris and a low grunt was heard from the other side.

“I missed you,” she whispered. And even though the surrounding people did not hear what she said, David felt like those words were directly whispered into his ear. He felt a helpless sense of indulgence for her.
