C6 I Don't Want You

Red’s Point of View:

"Please don't touch me, Knox, why are you even in my cabin?” I inquired as Knox came in trying to give me a hug.

"Come on Red, why so hostile," she said in a sultry manner.

"Wrong answer Knox,” I replied, whilst walking away.

"Well, I missed you and I wanted to see you," she said while making herself comfortable on the couch.

"Look Knox, I'm going to say this for the last time, nothing will ever happen between us. I would advise you to stop being frivolous with your time,” I said sternly because I was fed up with her shenanigans.

"Why, is it because you found your mate?” She asked, acting oblivious.

"Affirmative, I have found My Mate but you and I know it has nothing to do with that.”

“I have always made it very lucid to you without mincing my words that we can't be together,” I clarified once again.

"But I love you Red, you know this, I have always loved you."

"I apologize, but there is nothing I can do about that. I don't love you and even if I didn't find my mate, I doubt I will still choose you."

That was mean, I know, but I can't keep indulging her with her excesses.

"I am sorry, Knox, but I don't want you to keep wasting your time.”

"Unbelievable, I can't believe you are saying this Red, that's so unfair, she's not from this pack lucidly, she can't be a better Luna than me. I know everything about this pack.”

"That's my problem, not yours," I said, my mind linking to her brother, Anderson.

"Come to my cabin, your sister is in my head, and she is driving me crazy."

"You are making a big mishap. You have to reconsider. I am the best option, Red. Think about it, I love you Red.”

I was stoked to see Anderson walk in and interrupt this debacle Knox was subjecting herself to because I've had just about enough of her and can't stand her anymore.

"Knox, please excuse us, we have urgent packing business to discuss," Anderson said, making her wear a scowl.

I feel bad for her though, but I can't help her, she's not my mate.

"Fine, I will see you later, Red.”

"Please don't," I said as she stepped out.

"Come on Red, that was harsh,” Anderson reprimanded.

"You know me very well, Anderson, I was being nice and lenient with her this whole time because she's your sister.”

"True, you do have a foul mouth though.”

“Anyway, talk to her and get her off my back? You know I have a mate now.”

"You know Knox is a difficult person to deal with, but I will try. Speaking of your Mate, how is that coming along?” Anderson inquired while getting comfortable on my couch.

"It's amazing. We were on two dates, and it was quite fun. You won't believe what I discovered about her!”

"What!” he asked curiously.

"Ana loves werewolves, she is so intrigued and mesmerized by everything that has to do with werewolves, which means she will be more receptive when I tell her about me."

"Wow, that's good news. Honestly, I have been a little fretful about what her reaction will be when you tell her,” Anderson mentioned, and that has been my worry too.

"I am not going to tell her now though, it's still a bit early,” I concluded.

"Yeah, I second that.”

"Anyway, what's the urgent packing business you wanted to discuss?”

"There is no urgent business bro, I just used that as an excuse to rid you of Knox.”

"Oh damn, that's so sage, Anderson. Okay then, let's go to the office. I have some things that require my attention and also ask Sammy to join us.”

I need to figure out what to do with the werewolf hunters, the zeta needs to be ready with other fighters.

"Alpha Red, you summoned,” Sammy said when he entered my office with Anderson nearby.

"What's the progress with the recruits that we got last month?” I asked Sammy, our pack Zeta. He is the general mayhem.

"So far they are doing great, but I don't think they are fit for an actual fight yet,” he stated.

"We don't have time to waste, we need to be proactive and also physically and mentally ready if we want to get rid of the werewolf hunters.”

"Yes, Alpha, I know, and we are doing what we can."

"Well, I'm afraid that won't cut it, do your best,” I countered.

"Sammy, we need to be more serious with the training. The hunters are very gnarly and to beat them we need to be more ruthless,” Anderson added.

"Anderson is right, we recently found out that they have all sorts of gadgets, like, Wolf to Human Footprint, Silver tasers, even a pendant that glows when a werewolf is in their milieu. Which means we have no hiding place,” I enlightened.

"You know what! Pair the fighters right now. I want to see them in action myself. I will be at the arena in an hour.”

"Okay Alpha, I will jump on it immediately, Sammy said as he stepped out.

"Red you need to calm down, we will get them. Don't fret," Anderson said, trying to make me feel better.

"The hunters are exasperating me and slowly obliterating our packs, and you say I should calm down!”

“I can't rest until I lay my hands on them, and it had better be soon because I can't afford to lose any more pack members.”

"I feel your anger, man, the pack members are even spooked to go out freely. It's crazy."

"You see, we are werewolves. We should be free to roam the forest freely and not feel like we are living in a shoebox,” I said acrimoniously.

"Anyway, it is over an hour already, let us go and check out the fighters,” Anderson reminded me.

The fighters were already waiting when I arrived and they noticed me. I accessed them individually and most of them looked good and fit physically.

I sat at my regular spot above the arena with Anderson sitting on his chair close to me and I signaled for the fight to begin.

One after the other, each pair had a face-off and started fighting. After a while, I couldn't help but stop.

I made a beeline out of the arena and back to the office with Anderson and Sammy following closely.

"That was despicable. For lack of a better word, were they trying to get themselves killed? They are all physically fit but no, it can't work,” I stated lividly.

"Yes Sammy, you have to fix that," Anderson said.

"Yes I will, I am working on it," Sammy said.

"I'm seriously disappointed or do I need to train them myself?”

"No Alpha, don't fret, I will do it,” he assured.

"Good, the next time I watch them better be furious," I demanded, as he excused himself.

"That was not sublime at all, it's a good thing you stopped them. They could have broken something,” Anderson said sarcastically.

"Let's go to town and cool off.”

"Come on Red, you know I don't like going to town.”

"Yeah, but there are so many fun activities there, you should go more often.”

“Who knows, your mate might just be somewhere there waiting for you to find her. You never know.”

"Fine, I will come with you, but don't play the mate card, it's not working.”

"Why not, Anderson? It always works,” I stated politely.

Anderson has followed me to town a couple of times, especially when I was purchasing all the property I currently have there.

But I think it's not frequent enough. I have a strong inkling that his mate is somewhere there, he has been actively looking for her, unlike me who wasn't even looking.

"Whatever man, when are we going?”

"Very soon, give me a few minutes to get ready.”

A few hours later...

"Oh Red, that was so fun,” Anderson said in between laughs.

"Yeah, we should do this more often.”

"Yeah, we should, I can't believe I have been missing all that.”

"I told you, you haven't even seen anything yet, just wait and see. Very soon, I will take you to see Ana.”

"Great, because I need to see your so-called Mate. I can't believe you found her despite your lack of interest in looking for her. That's why Knox thought she had a chance with you."

"I know, right? I was stunned when I found her. I just hope Knox has gotten with the program. I don't want her to be a bother to Ana when I eventually bring her here.”

"If I know Knox well enough, and I do, she will be more than a bother to Ana, she will become a thorn in her flesh," Anderson confirmed.

Damn it.
