I started the novel thinking it was going to be a serious and dark thriller. Yet it wasn’t. It had mystery and ghosts with an arrogant MC, but I found myself smiling at the banter between Nathan and Mars. They get along so well yet gripe at one another is very funny and as a lover of cats myself, it was very enjoyable reading about a talking feline. Especially about a grumpy one. The book isn’t gloomy and horror-filled like a Stephen King novel but a light-hearted one with phantoms and action.
