C1 Dead Extras

On a hot summer day, Qiao Lin and a few extras were squatting in the shade of a tree in the corner of the set. His T-shirt had been pulled up to his chest, revealing his wheat-colored skin, and his short hair, which was wet with sweat, was sticking to his scalp. It was so hot that he almost stuck out his tongue like a dog to cool it.

There was air conditioning and a fan in the studio lounge, but none of this had anything to do with extras like them. Qiao Lin could imagine the coolness of the air conditioning as he looked at the closed doors of the lounges where the main actors rested.

"Lang will treat everyone to water and ice today to cool off."

Just as Qiao Lin was about to suffocate from the heat, the studio crew and a few crew members carried a plastic basket of drinks and a basket of popsicles into the set.

Almost all the crew members were given water and popsicles, and even Qiao Lin and the other extras each had the cheapest old popsicle.

After a few years of acting in the cinema city, Qiao Lin's days were getting rougher and rougher. He could not leave the crew during work hours, and it was already good enough that he had food. He was not picky at all. After peeling off the wrapping paper, he quickly stuffed the popsicle into his mouth.

Suddenly, he felt a chill in his heart.

Just as he was happily licking his popsicle, the waiter walked towards him with a cup of iced coffee with a straw stuck in it.

"Qiao Lin, this is what Lang specially treated you to," The waiter came straight to the shade of the tree and stuffed the iced coffee into his hand.

The ice cubes floating in the coffee could still be seen clearly in the disposable plastic cup. Qiao Lin shivered as soon as the cup touched his exposed skin, which was scalded by the high temperature.

"Thank you, Brother Zhang. Thank you for bringing it to me personally." Qiao Lin stood up and thanked him. He was thanking Lang for bringing him coffee instead of treating everyone to drinks.

In fact, this Lang was not old. He was only twenty-three years old, but he had become famous early. He had a major background, and when he was still in school, he was signed by a big brokerage company. At the age of twenty, he won the first award of Best Male Lead in his life.

Qiao Lin, on the other hand, seemed to be unable to escape from the strange spell. In all the scenes starring Qin Lang, he had most likely been a bystander.

Back then, this person was clearly a rookie who did not know anything and had even asked him all kinds of questions regarding acting. However, Qin Lang had, after all, studied acting before. Whether it was his acting skills or his looks, they were all top-notch. Even after a few years, Qiao Lin was still a cameo. On the other hand, Qin Lang had already become a famous actor. Wherever he stood, groups of people would kneel and lick his feet.

As soon as he thanked the waiter, Qiao Lin turned around and bumped into someone. The iced coffee that he had just been holding in his hand was flipped over by the impact of the plastic cover. The dark brown iced coffee spilled all over the man's body, leaving a stain on his white cotton T-shirt.

"Are you f * cking blind?" That person cursed as soon as he opened his mouth.

"Sorry, sorry, I didn't notice there was someone behind me." Qiao Lin quickly apologized to the man and took a look at his face before realizing that he knew him. His name was Yang Cheng and he had acted in many television dramas. Although he did not play an important role in any of them, the role that he played in the movie that Qiao Lin was now acting in was still rather heavy.

"Didn't notice anyone behind him? Are you trying to say that I bumped into you on purpose?" Yang Cheng pulled his t-shirt that was stuck to his body due to the cold coffee and looked at Qiao Lin unhappily.

"I'm sorry, that's not what I meant. How about this, after work tonight, I'll take it home to wash it and bring it back to you tomorrow." Qiao Lin knew very well that he was an extramaritalist who earned his salary on the spot. He could not afford to offend these actors who had contracts with the production team.

"Wash? Are these coffee stains clean?"

Qiao Lin had already apologized politely, but the other party's attitude remained harsh and unforgiving.

"Then why don't I buy one for you?" Qiao Lin saw that it was only a pure white cotton T-shirt, he should be able to afford it.

"You damn errand boy, how much do you earn a day? I'm afraid you won't be able to afford it even if you work yourself to death." Yang Cheng pointed to the logo on his chest and said, "This is an NMD (that's right, this is your mother's abbreviation) that just came out this month. You won't be able to afford it even if you spend a year's income."
