C37 Jealousy 1

In fact, needless to say, Qiao Lin had already tasted the feeling of being isolated on the first day. When Zeng Yiwen came back to continue his lecture, everyone was sitting in two rows, while he could only sit alone in the third row. If he took a step forward, others would take two steps away from him with a look of disdain.

At lunch in the company cafeteria he tried to be friendly and eat at the same table as the other trainees, but they preferred to leave a dress in the empty seat rather than let him sit.

After being snubbed a few times, Qiao Lin had lost his patience. He wanted to be friendly with them, but he did not know how long he would have to spend with them. It would not be good to be too awkward in such an awkward relationship, but since others did not accept his kindness, he had no reason to continue making things difficult for himself.

He was here to study, to get ready for the show business, not to pick up somebody.

Just as Qiao Lin was about to finish his meal, Su Bing also came to the dining room with her colleagues. After taking their lunch, she was looking for a table when she saw that there was no one opposite Qiao Lin, so she told her colleagues and walked over alone.

"Can I sit here?"

Hearing the familiar female voice, Qiao Lin quickly raised his head. The first thing he saw when he looked up was Su Bing's face, which was covered with delicate makeup.

"Of course." Qiao Lin quickly moved his plate.

It would be nice to have someone to eat with, and even though he still preferred peace and quiet, it did seem a little lonely to be out here in the middle of a crowded restaurant, eating alone.

When Su Bing put down the plate, Qiao Lin saw the rice and some vegetables on the plate that might not even be enough to feed a chicken.

"Can you eat enough for lunch?" Qiao Lin asked casually.

Su Bing gave him a helpless smile. "Actually, I used to be a big eater, but I had to do this for work. I'm a front desk clerk. If my figure was out of shape, the company would have fired me. Fortunately, I've been in the company for a few years and got to know the kitchen lady well enough to make me another one. Otherwise, I would have to bring my own lunch every day."

Outside of work, Su Bing was actually a very easygoing and talkative girl. "Actually, it's the same for artists."

Qiao Lin nodded his head. He knew this very well. When he was a minor character in other production teams, he had always wanted to get a special lunch box from the main actors in the crew when he received his lunch box. However, they had wanted to eat it but could not, while the actors had argued that it was too oily and too meaty.

He touched his stomach, which didn't have an eight-pack, but was still tight without a swimming ring when he sat down. He didn't think he'd have to worry about keeping his figure.

"Actually, I think that as an artist, I should strengthen my self-restraint no matter what. After all, I'm a public figure." Although there were many artists nowadays who used all kinds of scandals to attract attention, Qiao Lin did not like this way of doing things. If he had the chance to become famous, he wanted others to remember his work instead of the messy gossip.

When Su Bing heard this, she was stunned for a moment. She had been in the Golden Year for two or three years, and even though she was only a receptionist, she had seen artists coming and going from time to time. She had also heard a lot of rumors about the artists in the company. How many people did all kinds of immoral things behind their backs in order to become famous and gain fame? A few of them even said that they would enforce self-restraint, but she didn't expect to hear these words from an intern who had just joined the company for half a day.

I hope a good young man won't be spoiled by this mess of a dye job.

"You're right." Su Bing smiled and changed the topic, "By the way, why are you alone? Are you not used to interacting with them?"

"Probably." Qiao Lin could only comfort himself like this. Could he, a man, complain to a woman that he was ostracized on the first day he arrived? Furthermore, the other party was not familiar enough for him to confide in.

"Buzz buzz!"

Suddenly, the phone in his pocket vibrated.

"I'm sorry." Qiao Lin gave Su Bing an apologetic look.

Then, he took it out and saw that it was another WeChat message from Qin Lang. In the morning, Qin Lang had told him on WeChat that the filming would end early today. Had he already returned to the company?

Qin Lang asked, "What time do you start class in the afternoon?"

Qiao Lin did not know why he was asking this question. Previously, he had said that they would go home together in the afternoon. Could it be that he still wanted to have a meal with him now?

"It's half past two." At noon, they had two and a half hours of rest. Actually, it was not too late for Qiao Lin to go back to Qin Lang's house to take a nap, but he did not want to run back and forth.

Initially, he planned to stay in the rehearsal room for the entire afternoon.

Qin Lang said, "Come to my office and rest. My office is on the seventeenth floor of the main building. After you get out of the elevator, go to the left. You'll find it soon if you follow the nameplate on the door."

"I'm sorry, but I can't go. I don't quite understand what Teacher Zeng said this morning. I want to take advantage of my lunch break to digest it. I've already fallen behind in my homework. If I don't work hard, I'll waste this opportunity you gave me." Qiao Lin rejected Qin Lang's good intentions and thought about what the trainees had said when he first went to the rehearsal room today. He would definitely be ostracized in the future. It was a fact that he entered the Golden Year to become a trainee through Qin Lang's connections, and the others were sure of it as well. If he did not avoid the taboo in this situation, it would not be good for Qin Lang. After all, Qin Lang had helped him, so he could not drag him down with him.

When Qin Lang saw Qiao Lin's reply, he frowned and said that he was here to study. However, from Qiao Lin's words, Qin Lang could tell that Qiao Lin was deliberately avoiding him.

Qin Lang said, "Then you should study hard and rest more."

Although his reply to WeChat seemed to be filled with concern, he was currently in a bad mood. Thus, he threw his phone back onto his desk.

Opposite the desk, on the wide black leather sofa, Xu Zhou was leisurely drinking coffee. Seeing that he was losing his temper, he quickly put down the coffee cup in his hand on the coffee table in front of him. He stared at Qin Lang's gloomy face and could not help but laugh.

Xu Zhou was almost forty years old, but he still looked like a playboy at his age. He had curly hair, a thin face, a mustache, and a flashy floral shirt. His smile looked indecent no matter how you looked at it.

But only the company knew how serious he was about his work, and no one else had any right to interfere in his personal life.

"I saw you beaming when I came to the company in the morning, why did you suddenly lose your temper? Is your Qiao Lin in trouble? Did he lose to Zeng Yiwen, or did he give you a hard time? "

Xu Zhou thought that what he said was a little wrong, "Zeng Yiwen knows that he is your man, so he definitely won't make things difficult for you. It seems like that brat gave you a hard time?"

Qin Lang did not answer him. Just as Qiao Lin replied to his WeChat, Zeng Yiwen sent him a photo. It was unknown whether it was to snitch on him or to prank him.

At this moment, Qiao Lin was eating at the same table with the front desk of their company in the company's restaurant, smiling happily.

He had only seen that smile five years ago.

If Qiao Lin had already belonged to him, he would still be able to feel at ease. However, he and Qiao Lin were nothing now. He was the only one who had one-sidedly added a friendship between the two of them. Qiao Lin remained silent about this relationship. He did not object to it, but neither did he acknowledge it.

He suddenly felt that there was something wrong with his method. He wanted to let Qiao Lin let down his guard step by step before slowly entrapping him. The process was too long, and it was hard to say if someone would beat him to it.
