C45 It Was Dad Not Uncle

Qiao Lin was forced by Zeng Yiwen to attend the Body Class for a week. During normal classes, he had to listen to Zeng Yiwen's lectures with high concentration, take notes, and practice time. While everyone was training, he was called to the dirty and messy office by Zeng Yiwen for the Body Class. From standing, sitting, walking, and posture, even if it was just a small movement, as long as it was not good, Zeng Yiwen would ask him to correct it.

In order not to leave too much behind, he went out for lunch after class in the afternoon and returned to the rehearsal room to train with everyone. By the time he returned to Qin Lang's house at night, it was almost ten o'clock. His promise to take the bus home with Su Bing could only be voided.

Qiao Lin himself felt that he had lost a lot of weight in the past week. No wonder Zeng Yiwen did not have strict requirements for the trainees' figures. With their daily training, it would be difficult for them to get fat even if they wanted to.

Finally, it was Sunday, and Qiao Lin got a day off. If it was a few days ago, he might have used this day to find a house, but now he gave up and decided to listen to Qin Lang's words and temporarily stay here. He would make use of this day and revise everything that Zeng Yiwen had said this week. Although he was a few months later than the other trainees, he still wanted one of the five spots that Zeng Yiwen had mentioned.

On Sunday morning, Qiao Lin made a simple breakfast to fill his stomach and sat down at the dining table with the week's notes to read carefully.

However, just as he was focusing on his work, the doorbell rang.

Since this was Qin Lang's house, the person who came here should be looking for him. Since he lived here, it would not be right for him to pretend that no one was here. Therefore, he stood up and went to open the door.

When he arrived at the door, he first looked out of the doorway and realized that it was Qin Shu. He had Qin Xiaoyu with him.

Qiao Lin quickly opened the door.

"Dad." The moment the door opened, Qin Xiaoyu flew onto him and hugged him to his waist.

"Yu, don't bother your Uncle Qiao Lin." Qin Shu's face turned pale and he wanted to pull Yu away from Qiao Lin.

"It's not uncle, it's father." Qin Xiaoyu corrected his uncle's mistake.

Qiao Lin hugged Yu and said, "It's fine. Yu is very well-behaved and won't make people feel annoyed. Are you here to look for Qin Lang? He's on set and not home."

Before he came here, Qin Shu was already puzzled because his elder brother had told him on the phone that Qiao Lin was at home and asked him to come over first. Now that he saw Qiao Lin, it proved that his elder brother was not lying to him. It seemed that his elder brother was really capable to be able to get Qiao Lin in just a few days and even live together with her.

"I know. I talked to my brother on the phone before I came here. He said he would be back soon and asked me to bring Yu here first, but I have some things to do now. Can you help me take care of Yu for a while? My big brother will be here in about an hour." Not only did Qin Shu not look well, but he also seemed to be in a hurry.

"No problem, leave Yu to me." He had taken care of Yu for a while in the cinema city before, and he knew that this child was easy to take care of.

However, he did not know that Qin Lang would be back today. These days, the two of them would chat on WeChat from time to time. Even until this morning, Qin Lang did not say that he would be back.

"However, you don't look well. Are you sick?"

Qin Shu stiffened at his words. "I'm in good health and I'm not sick. I drank a little too much at the class reunion last night and I have a hangover and a headache, so I don't look well. I'll be fine after I finish my business and take a good rest."

Qiao Lin recalled that the last time Qin Shu sent Yu to Qin Lang was because he was going to attend a reunion. It had only been a week and there was another reunion. It seemed that his interpersonal relationships were not bad, "So that's how it is. But when I went to the reunion last night, that Yu..."

If Yu had been at Qin Lang's place last night, Qin Shu wouldn't have had to send Yu here so early in the morning.

Qiao Lin suddenly realized that he had been meddling in other people's business again, "Sorry, I seem to have asked too many questions."

"How could that be? You're also concerned about Yu. My brother told me before that not only did you take good care of him in the past, but now you're also very concerned about this child, Yu. We can't be happier if another person in our family cares about Yu. How could we feel that you're asking too many questions?" Qin Shu seemed to understand why his big brother liked the man in front of him. He cared about his big brother and Yu at the same time. He cared about both big and small things. How could his big brother not like him?

"Last night, Aunt Liu went to my house to take care of Yu, but this morning, she went back because she had something to do at home."

"If you start school, then Yu should..." Qiao Lin wanted to bite off his tongue. Why couldn't he change this habit of meddling in other people's business?

Obviously, he would not be like this with others, but when he met these two father and son, the situation was different.

"In the past, Yu lived with his grandmother, but my mother has been in America for the past few months, so the responsibility of taking care of Yu fell on my brother and me. In fact, my brother's work for Yu has been reduced in the past two years. He only shoots one show a year and takes on a few advertisements. The rest of the time, he takes care of Yu. My mother takes care of Yu when he works." Qin Shu tried his best to create a good image of his big brother in front of Qiao Lin, afraid that if he said something wrong, his big brother would cut off his pocket money. However, what he said was the truth and not against his conscience.

"I see." Qiao Lin had thought that Yu was taken care of by the two brothers, Qin Lang and Qin Shu. Qin Lang had brought Yu into the crew when Qin Shu was still in school, but it seemed that this was not the case.

Yu spent most of the year with Qin Lang, his father. It was better than not having his parents around.

Yu's grandmother had gone to America, and Qiao Lin remembered that Qin Lang had told him before that Yu's mother was also in America.

"You should go in first." Only then did Qiao Lin realize that Qin Shu was still standing outside the door. It was not polite at all.

"No need, I still have something to do. I'll have to leave first. I'll be troubling you, Yu. My brother and I will treat you to a meal another day." After saying that, Qin Shu glanced at Qin Xiaoyu who was still clinging onto Qiao Lin's leg, "Yu, listen to uncle. Don't be naughty."

Qin Xiaoyu nodded obediently. "Uncle, I'll say it again. He's my father."

Qin Shu was helpless. How did his brother teach this child?

"Then I'll see you next time." Qin Shu said goodbye to the adult and child, then turned around and walked towards the elevator.

Qiao Lin watched Qin Shu leave and felt that it was strange to see him limping. Could it be that he had drunk too much last night and fell down?

After they entered the elevator, Qiao Lin pulled Yu back into the house.

"Dad, I'm hungry." As soon as they entered the house, Yu covered his stomach and cried out.

He looked at the time and saw that it was only eight o'clock in the morning. It seemed that Qin Shu really had an urgent matter to attend to. He was afraid that he had come in too much of a hurry and had not eaten breakfast.

Qiao Lin walked to the living room and pulled out the toy box from the corner for Yu to play with, "Go ahead and play first. Uncle will make it for you."

"Yes, Dad." Yu emphasized with a serious expression on his face. Not only had he corrected Qin Shu's mistake, but now he was going to correct Qiao Lin's mistake as well.

"Alright, I'm your father, alright?" Qiao Lin did not bother to explain any further. He just hoped that his father, Qin Lang, would not cry when he heard the child calling him father.
