C3 Ball Resistance
Gu Heng indifferently looked at the woman with lowered eyes. To be honest, this woman wasn't very pretty. She had some black skin, and after giving birth, her originally slender figure had become fattened.
Since Lin Yue said she wouldn't divorce him, then she wouldn't divorce him.
"Have a good rest." Gu Heng stood up.
Seeing that Gu Heng was about to leave, Lin Yue hastily pulled Gu Heng's hand and carefully looked at him, "Can I see that ball? I want to see him! "
"Yes." Gu Heng's gaze landed on his hand.
Lin Yue met Gu Heng's gaze and hurriedly let go of her hand. Her ears were slightly red, and she felt a little embarrassed.
Gu Heng walked out of the ward and stood at the door with a dark glint in his eyes. He was very puzzled by Lin Yue's sudden change, but he couldn't find what was wrong.
He and Lin Yue's son were currently obediently sitting on a wooden bench, obediently bowing their heads and counting the fingers in their hands.
"Ball." Gu Heng shouted.
The ball raised its head and saw dad standing in front of the ward's door. It jumped off the bench in delight and ran to Gu Heng. Its two plump arms lightly hugged Gu Heng's thigh as it cried out in a childish voice, "Dad!"
Gu Heng lovingly held the ball in his arms and said softly, "Mommy is inside. She misses the ball."
Hearing his father mention his mother, Ball's small face wrinkled unhappily. He really didn't like his mother who treated him as air. He pouted and said, "Daddy, can I not go in?"
Gu Heng said, "That's your mother!"
His tone was harsh, but it also contained a bit of heartache.
Ever since Lin Yue had given birth to the ball, he had never cared about this child. When he was at home, he had brought this child with him; when he wasn't there, his sister-in-law from the first floor had taken care of him. Lin Yue had always viewed the ball as air, so the child couldn't be blamed for resisting her.
Hearing his father's words, Ball knew that it had to go in. With a bitter face, he was carried into the ward by Gu Heng.
Lin Yue looked at the child in Gu Heng's arms and couldn't stop her tears from falling. "Ball!?"
Ball hid in Gu Heng's arms as he timidly looked at the familiar yet foreign figure on the sickbed.
Her tears fell even more as she wiped her tears with one hand, a bitter smile on her face. She looked at Gu Heng and said, "Bring the child back. It doesn't smell good in the ward, and there are many germs. He's not safe here."
"Well, the ball said goodbye to Mom." Gu Heng looked once again at Lin Yue, who was lying on the sickbed with tears in her eyes.
The ball twitched its mouth and wiggled it a few times. In the end, it did not shout out loud.
Lin Yue looked at the ball in Gu Heng's arms with a hopeful expression. Seeing the ball move, she didn't hear the word "mother" and her eyes were filled with loneliness. In a split-second, she raised her head and smiled sweetly.
"See you at the ball. Mommy will be back soon."
Gu Heng silently brought the ball out of the ward. Just as he closed the door, he heard soft sobbing sounds coming from inside. His expression changed slightly as he stood at the door for a few seconds before leaving the hospital with the ball in his arms.
That was her son, yet he didn't even want to call her mother. Thinking back to her previous life, the way he looked at her was like a stranger looking at a ball and calling another woman "Mama." Lin Yue's heart ached. In this life, she would definitely give the ball a good beating and make up for the love she had never felt for her mother.
