C19 Making Her Breakfast

Rose Linder walked quickly to the half-open kitchen and saw Bright Lee by the kitchen counter with oil stains on his snow-white shirt.

His ink hair looked messy, but added wild laziness to him. He rolled up his sleeves and revealed his strong arms. His healthy skin was full of masculinity. Although the kitchen was a mess, it did not reduce his charm as a man.

"I wanted to make you breakfast, but it seems like it didn't go well," Bright said as he shrugged his shoulders. His face remained calm.

Make her breakfast?

At first, Rose was angry. But when she heard him say this, she felt like a deflated balloon, she was unable to scold him like she originally intended to.

Besides, he was born with a silver spoon and there were several people at his beck and call to take care of his food, clothing, and every other thing he needed. He never had any reason to do any strenuous work.

Did she save the universe in her previous life? She could make Bright cook for her!

For this reason, she could easily let go of this.

"Thank you for your kindness, Mr. Lee." Rose was very grateful to him. "Look, there is no way to eat breakfast in this situation. Why don't we eat out? I know an old restaurant that sells delicious meals. Let me take you there to try it."

"Okay." Bright wasn't in the mood to argue.

"Then you should tidy up first." Rose raised her wrist and looked at the time. She frowned slightly when she saw that time was already far spent. "I will clean this place up."

Bright quickly washed his hands and returned to the guest bedroom and changed into a new set of clean clothes.

He wore a dark blue suit, which accentuated his slender figure and long legs. He could always attract the attention of others at first sight.

When Rose saw him coming out, she picked up her handbag and they left together.

She had it in mind to take a taxi, but when she came out of the unit building and saw Daniel Bailey coming down from the driver's side, she gave up this idea.

After getting in the car, she told Daniel the address and the latter drove to Happiness Restaurant according to the GPS navigation.

Although this restaurant was not very big, it was an old shop that had been around for more than 50 years. The business was still booming.

"I'm going to stand in line so that I can get us some breakfast." Rose was about to open the door and get out of the car when Bright pulled her arm. "There's no need for that. Let's go to another place."

The queue was too long. How long would she have to wait in line before it got to her turn?

"It would be a waste for you to come to City Y without having a happy memory about this place." Rose thought he was arrogant because he looked down on this shabby old restaurant. "The food here is very delicious. I guarantee that you won't forget it in a long while," she promised.

She did her best to recommend this place. Her eyes were smiling like stars that could talk.

"Just wait and see." She pulled away from him and pushed the door gently to get out of the car.

Bright sat in the car and watched her slender figure disappear into the shop. He took out his cell phone and looked at it for a while before saying to Daniel, "Change the flight ticket to tomorrow."

"Tomorrow? Then the arrangements for tonight..." Daniel paused. He didn't want to disrupt the original plan.

"Cancel." Immediately he said that, he pushed open the door and got out of the car.

He walked into the old shop. His noble bearing was incompatible with this old shop.

"Why are you here?" Rose asked when she saw Bright walk in.

"I'll stay in the queue. Go and find somewhere to sit," Bright said as he lowered his gaze to look at the five-inch black high heels on her feet.

Besides, she was still on her period. As a gentleman, he couldn't bear to see her stress herself so much.

Rose, on the other hand, was not bothered. "It will soon be my turn. Go and see if there are seats."

"Listen to me," Bright said as he grabbed her wrist and pulled her out of the line. He stood in her place and said, "You go and find a seat."

Rose looked at him worriedly. He had never been in a queue since he was a child.

Could he do it?

"Little girl, look at how much your boyfriend loves you," an aunt behind her chuckled.

"It would be nice if my daughter is blessed with a man like this," another person interrupted.

"Hehe... He's not my boyfriend," Rose quickly denied as she raised her hand in the air.

People kept misunderstanding the relationship between them. No matter where she went, they always felt that Bright was her boyfriend.

If her contract husband got to know about this, he would have to get Mr. Gasper to send another warning message.

"He's not your boyfriend? That's good then. I will introduce my daughter to him." These women were shocked at first and then delighted.

"I'm her husband." After Bright corrected them, the joy in their eyes dimmed and their faces were full of disappointment.

Rose bit her lips and glared at him. Just when she was about to say something else in correction, he blew hot air inside her ear and said to her in an ambiguous tone, "Be obedient. Go and get us a seat."

His voice sounded soft and flirtatious. No woman could resist this kind of charm.

Rose didn't know if she was possessed or an idiot, but she obediently went to find a place for them to sit.

After a while, Bright brought over the breakfast he had bought.

He took a tissue paper and carefully cleaned the table and chair in front of him twice before sitting down.

"Indeed, this place is not suitable for a man of your caliber." Seeing that he was such a neat freak, Rose felt that she should not have brought him here to suffer.

"Life always needs a lot of trials," Bright said as he placed the corn porridge in front of her.

She picked up a spoon and took two sips of the porridge. Afterward, she picked a soup dumpling and put it on the small plate in front of him.

"This is very delicious. Try it," she said and also picked up one and ate.

He pursed his lips and smiled. Slowly, he picked it up and ate. Good-looking people also looked elegant when they ate.

Rose felt that God was too generous to him. She couldn't help but stare at him a few more times.

Bright's gaze landed on the corner of her mouth that was stained with a little soup.

He smiled and stretched his hand to wipe the place clean. The temperature at the tip of his finger was as hot as fire, making her face turn red.

"Why do you like blushing?" he teased.

"That's not true," she denied outrightly and continued eating. "Are you still eating? I'm almost late."

Once they were done with breakfast, Rose also brought a serving for Daniel. This made him very touched. "Thank you, Miss Linder."

They both got in the car and Daniel drove to the Brilliant Group to drop Rose.

"Thank you." After she got off the car, she bent down and waved goodbye to Bright who was still in the car.

He looked at her expression of gratitude and smiled widely. His smile was as bright as a mountain flower.

The spring sun was shining on the side of Rose's face, making her skin as clear as crystal. She was so beautiful.

"There is no need to thank me." His eyes were as clear as the night sky.

Just then, he pushed open the door and got out of the car. He straightened his clothes with his hands and took a step forward. "Let's go."

Rose licked her dry lips in panic. "Mr. Lee, you don't have to go through the trouble of sending me up. I can do that myself."

Bright turned his head to look at her with a frown. He had a funny expression on his face. "Who said I wanted to send you up?"

Rose was speechless.

Was she being delusional?

She bit her lips and clenched her fists lightly. She was so ashamed of herself right now.

"I just remembered that I have an important thing I need to discuss with Manager Don."

Was that his excuse?

But she wasn't ready to listen!

Bright grabbed her bag with both hands and strode forward, saying, "You will be late in three minutes."

'Are you a devil, Mr. Lee?' Rose wondered.
