C22 It's Not Advisable to Keep It a Secret

Rose held the sheet of paper tightly in her hand. Although she tried her best to restrain herself, her fist still trembled uncontrollably.

Her expression was also very bad, and she looked at Bright as if he was a beast.

Bright frowned unhappily. Looking at Rose, his gaze gradually grew colder.

"I didn't do anything. Why am I a pervert? Or do you want me to do something to you to become true?"

He really felt wronged.

Choked by his words, Rose could not reply.

"Even if you didn't do anything, you're still a pervert if you have such dirty thoughts!" She pursed her lips, still glaring at Bright.

"Huh." He snorted lightly, thinking her words were very funny. "Dirty thoughts?"

His smile made her heart go cold. It gave her the feeling that she had done something wrong.

Sneering, Bright took one menacing step closer to Rose. Two steps, three steps...

Rose took a step back, pressed by his approach and his strong aura. Two steps, three steps... until her back was against the pillar.

"What are you doing?" Her heart was in chaos.

It was broad daylight, in public, and Doris was there too.

Evelyn had already hidden Doris' head into her arms, not letting her see.

Waylon looked at this scene, and a rare cold expression appeared on his gentle face. His heart was in turmoil too.

He turned the wheelchair by himself. "Mr. Lee, please show some respect to Rose."

Such posture seemed very ambiguous to others; it was as if a couple of lovers were flirting. It was indeed inappropriate for a small child to watch this.

Bright looked sideways, his eyes cold as ice. "Mr. Diaz, this is a private matter between Miss Linder and me. An outsider has no place to interfere, so please mind your own business."

After speaking, he stopped paying attention to Waylon, who wanted to defend Rose and looked at her instead.

"Miss Linder, do you think I, Bright Lee, lack women to the point of having such dirty thoughts?"

"Or are you overestimating yourself? Do you think I, Bright Lee, need to harass you?"

"Miss Linder, this is the doctor's suggestion, not mine. Besides, it's your body. What does it matter to me?" He asked. "Do I suffer a loss? Or do I get some benefits?"

His words resounded loud and clear.

Rose stared at his handsome face, a close-up without blind spots. Even the frost in his eyes did not affect his delicate and perfect appearance.

Faced with his question, Rose could not say a word, as if she had lost her ability to speak.

"Miss Linder, ignoring an illness is not advisable." With his words, a hot breath mingled with hers.

Bright's black eyes stared at her blushing face for a long time. His smile deepened, but there was no trace of warmth.

Then he turned around indifferently and brushed past her thin shoulder without another glance.

Just as he reached the stairs, he heard a soft, sweet voice behind him.

"Handsome mister, wait."

Doris struggled out of Evelyn's arms and ran to Bright.

She was just above Bright's knee, so she could only look up at him.

He crouched down to make it easier for her, smiled slightly, and said, "What is it?"

"Mister, don't bully my mommy's... good friend." She cleverly made up for her slip of the tongue. "The teacher said that boys shouldn't bully girls. That is a gentleman's demeanor."

"That's not bullying." Bright reached out and lightly placed his hand on her shoulder.

"If it's not bullying, then why is she afraid?" Doris could clearly see her mother's expression.

Her heart ached for her mother, and she wanted to protect her, but she also liked this handsome gentleman. She felt very conflicted.

"Miss misunderstood that I am a bad person who wanted to do bad things to her... Do you think I am a bad person?" Bright didn't realize he was explaining himself to a five-year-old. "You're still young. You'll understand when you grow up."

"The world of adults is too complicated." She frowned in contempt but then smiled and said, "But I believe you're not a bad person."

"Thank you, little princess." Bright was so pitiful that he actually needed to gain the trust of a child. This might be the saddest moment in his life, but in fact, he was very happy. "What's your name?"

"My name is Doris. Her smile was like a warm sun that gradually melted the frost in his eyes. The darkness receded, and his eyes were like the surface of the sea under the clear sky.

"Okay, I'll remember." Bright stood up slowly, "I'm leaving now. Goodbye."

"Are you going to find the beautiful lady?" She remembered what he said.

Bright glanced in Rose's direction. "Not anymore."

After waving goodbye to her, he left the garden.

Once he left, it was as if the invisible pressure in the air was gone.

"Rose, are you alright?" Evelyn asked with concern.

"No," Rose said, upset. "Mr. Diaz, I'll push you back."

Rose didn't want to say more, and Waylon didn't ask. He let her push him back into the ward.

Then, as she was about to leave, Waylon couldn't help but stop her. He said, "Rose, don't be afraid. I will always stand on your side. I will find a way to help you get back the grievances Mr. Lee has caused you."

"Mr. Diaz, there's no need." Rose shook her head. "I'll handle it myself, thank you. I'm leaving now."

As they left the ward, she said to Evelyn, "Eve, take Doris and wait for me in the car. I will be right back."

As she walked, she unfolded the sheet of paper in her hand, which read "Gynecology Department VIP1."

When she knocked on the door of the consulting room, the doctor taking off her white lab coat, said, "Miss, we are off work."

"I only need a minute, okay?" Rose handed her the paper. "Dr. Lu, right? What's with this prescription list?"

Doctor Lu looked at the crumpled paper and said, "I prescribed it. Mr. Lee came to ask how to treat a woman's menstrual pain. Based on what he said about his wife's condition, I made the following suggestions. The first is to pay more attention to rest and nutrition during her period."

"The second one is to have intercourse more frequently because it helps with this problem. Or give birth to a baby, for some women, the symptoms of dysmenorrhea will disappear after birth."

"This Mr. Lee is so good to his wife. She is shy and was embarrassed to come, so he came on her behalf. There are too few men so warm and caring."

The doctor highly praised Bright.

"Hey, what is your relationship with this Mr. Lee? Are you his wife?"
