C9 Show Me Some Respect

Rose Linder wanted to cry right now. Why didn't he forget about this? What exactly did he want to do? She couldn't help but think back and forth.

"That..." She thought again for a moment. Since the other party specifically requested a hidden marriage, she didn't want anybody to know about it. So... "No."

"Oh! Really?" Bright Lee acted as if he had nothing else to ask, but his eyes gradually became sharp.

Wasn't her name written in the spouse column on the marriage certificate? Why was she denying it right in front of him?

Even if she was in a contract marriage and would be free in less than three months, it could still be said that she had a husband.

Why did Rose feel that Bright's tone was so cold? The pressure in the car was also lowered by a few degrees.

Could it be that she must have said something wrong?

Rose looked at his stern face and furrowed her eyebrows. A big shot was not very easy to serve.

But all the same, she didn't say anything to offend him, right?

"Mr. Lee, can you please pull over?" Rose asked again.

"Be quiet. I never said I was kidnapping you," Bright said and closed his eyes to rest for a while. He seemed to be a little tired.

She saw that he wasn't in the mood to say anything, so she also decided not to say anything else.

There and then, she decided that when he got to his destination, she would take a taxi back to her hotel.

Rose looked away from him and looked out the window. The neon lights were shining brightly, flowing across her face.

It was not until the black Bentley drove into the underground parking lot that Bright slowly opened his eyes. His thin lips parted slightly. "We are here already. Why aren't you getting out of the car?"

We are here? Where were they?

City J was a strange city to Rose.

She pushed open the door and got out of the car. She was wearing Bright's jacket and was wrapped in a big towel, which made her feel less cold.

Bright also got out of the car and walked straight to the elevator in front of them. "Let's go."

Rose hesitated for a moment and followed him into the elevator. When she entered, only then did she realize that it was a special elevator in Four Seasons Hotel.

"What floor?" Bright asked her.

"16th floor," Rose answered as she brought out her card.

He casually put one hand in his pocket and pressed the 16th-floor button with the other.

The elevator went up slowly and stopped on the 16th floor. Rose was in front while Bright was behind her. They went to Room 1612 where she was staying.

When they got to her room, she stood at the door and said to him with a smile, "Mr. Lee, I'm here. Thank you very much for today."

All this while, she felt very uneasy being with him. Only now did she relax a little.

With the way Bright looked at her, it was obvious that he had no intention of leaving.

"Miss Linder, why don't you invite me in to drink a cup of water? This doesn't make any sense to me," he said to her.

She looked at the drenched but valiant Bright. He was simply accusing her of breaking the bridge after crossing the river successfully.

Helpless about the situation, she used her room card to open the door and invited him in.

Bright walked into the living room and sat comfortably. Rose, on the other hand, went to pour him a cup of water and placed it on the coffee table in front of him. "Please, enjoy, Mr. Lee."

"You don't have to worry about me. Just do what you need to do," Bright said as he casually leaned on the sofa. He was making himself feel at home.

He was a man, so she was not in the mood to do whatever she felt like doing.

She was drenched and uncomfortable in her clothes. If she didn't take a shower and have a change of clothes, she would probably get sick.

She looked at Bright, who was also dressed in wet clothes, and thought of a way to "chase him away".

"The weather is cold, Mr. Lee, and wearing wet clothes like this is not good for your health. You should go home and change."

"You're very right. I will get sick if I remain in these clothes." He raised his wrist to look at the time and stood up.

Rose thought she had succeeded in sending him away. Although she had a faint smile on her face, her heart was already filled with joy.

"Why don't I use your bathroom to take a shower and change my clothes?" he asked as he changed the topic. With one sentence, he sent her from heaven to hell.

At that moment, Rose felt the despair of lifting a rock and smashing it down her feet. If she had known earlier, she would not have said a word.

"Mr. Lee, I'm afraid this is not..." Rose wanted to stop him, but before she could finish her statement, she sneezed a few times.

"Miss Linder, you have to pay more attention to your health. I can take care of myself," Bright said as he patted her shoulder and smiled like a devil.

He walked past her and went into the bathroom. Rose couldn't say a word looking at how drenched he was.

She didn't know that Bright, who was so evil and mature, was still young at heart. In the end, he was no match for her.

She could only turn around and head to her bedroom, preparing to take a bath and relax her nerves.

She spent more than two hours in the bathroom, thinking that Bright would have left by the time she came out.

Besides, he was the CEO of Distance Group. Time was of importance to him, why would he decide to waste it here?

She put on her pajamas and came out of her room. As expected, she did not see anyone in the living room. Her heart felt at ease as she went into the small kitchen to pour herself some warm water.

She stood by the sink and drank the water slowly, but she felt that someone was staring at her from behind.

She took a deep breath and turned around to face a pair of deep eyes. This gave her a huge shock. In her panic, she knocked over the water that she had not finished drinking.

Bright stood against the wall and was blocked by the refrigerator on the side. She didn't even notice at first.

"You... Why are you here?" Rose asked in a trembling voice.

Bright was wearing a white robe after he took a shower. His black hair was not completely dry yet and it looked messy and stylish at the same time. The slightly open collar of the bathrobe revealed his sexy collarbone and a large piece of solid chest muscles.

His sharp eyes moved slowly. He was very unpredictable and his entire look gave off a dangerous and elegant temperament.

"I have to greet you first before I leave to be polite," Bright said as he moved his body closer to hers. Rose retreated instinctively until her waist was at the edge of the kitchen counter.

He was too close to her, so close that his eyelashes could be seen clearly. His masculine aura enveloped her like a net, making her unable to breathe freely.

"Mr. Lee... I am feeling sleepy." Rose felt that her heart was about to jump out of her mouth.

Bright didn't move an inch backward. Instead, his big dry palm silently supported her waist and both of them became even closer.

The temperature of his palm passed through her silk pajamas to her skin and was burning hot. She felt embarrassed and angry at the same time and subconsciously wanted to reach out and push him away.

But he was as hard as a wall. She couldn't move him at all.

She suppressed the tension in her heart, raised her watery eyes, and met his calm gaze.

"Mr. Lee, I respect you very much and I'd like you to please respect me too." Rose suppressed her anger and hoped that she could handle the situation calmly.

"Miss Linder, stay still. Don't move."

Bright lowered his head and came closer again. Panic flashed through Rose's eyes and she turned her face as fast as she could. His thin and cold lips brushed past her ears.

"Miss Linder, don't be too sensitive," Bright whispered into her ear. The hot air, he exhaled, filtered into her earlobes. It was itchy and flirty. "Listen to what this sound is."
