CHAPTER 2

One week from the start of the class. And in that one week. Not a day goes by that Grace doesn't carve me about the guy she's supposed to introduce to me.

And I look stupid because I always have overtime at work, plus a pile of assignments. It is very difficult to be a working student.

It's just time management. You also need to think that it is also for yourself. That you have a goal in life. And now, school days again. Sometimes, it seems like I don't want to go in because of Grace. She reminds me of someone I know in the past.

“Good morning daii!” She said happily. I was just about to enter the gate, and she was already there in front of me with open arms. As usual, she hugged me again before we headed to the classroom. I just greeted her with good morning even though there was nothing good because her face immediately appeared. We are no longer moving around the floor. We stick to a classroom. Case, on the 4th floor, is STEM. But, it's okay at least not too much hassle. Because last time we moved the room per subject. My foot hurts at work, it hurts at school too.

“By the way, now I'm going to introduce you to what I'm saying. Don't worry, daii. He's so handsome," she smiled like a dog, at this promise as we sat in our chair.

“Oh Grace, I don't care about boys. I'm already stressed at work and school. Will I still have a love life? Maybe I'll die sooner than that.” I replied. I thought she was going to stop, but she hasn't.

“SUS, when in love they say, it seems fun?”

“At first it's fun, but eventually it's painful.”

“Are you being bullied?” Its annoying answer accompanied by raising an eyebrow. I would have answered, but I could not continue because our adviser had already entered. She's smiling like a dog and I don't know for what reason. We first met her as a terror teacher but here she is now smiling. She doesn't ruin it.

“So, good morning students. We have a transferee and he's so handsome. First time in history that there will be a handsome in this section.” We all oww because of what it said. Ma'am's harsh. No one is ugly. Everyone is handsome, in different ways. BTW, she was just joking. But not sales.

“Come inside, Mr Fajardo.”

The whole system seemed to cool down from what I heard.

Can not.

Maybe it's just a last name.

He won't transfer here.

He's not a public student.

He would not leave their mansion just to mingle with someone who was not his equal. I cringed at the thought that went through my mind. I didn’t realize that tears were slowly forming in my eyes. Fortunately, someone touched me, causing my tears to flow.

“Are you okay? What happened to you? Why are your eyes red?” Grace asked, that she just touched me. I just shook my head and looked up. That I shouldn't have done. Our eyes met. He changed. His former macho laugh is even more flex now. His dark skin then has now become mixed. The formerly satisfied eyes have now become cold. He had no reaction when he saw me. Why is that? It still hurts even a few years ago. “Are you okay? Mia?” Worried Grace promised again. I smiled at her, not knowing if she saw that my smile was fake. I just hope she doesn't notice. Knowing Grace, she won’t stop until you tell her what she wants to know. “Why do you look so pale?” This is an additional question. “I'm just going to the restroom,” I told her then stood up and said goodbye to the teacher. I went straight to the sink of the restroom. I washed my face and then looked in the mirror.

I stared at my reflection in the mirror. “You're strong, Mia, Inhale, exhale,” I convinced myself. At this time I should not be affected. That was a long time ago, and he must have been the one affected and not me! I washed my face again then took a tissue and that's what I wiped on my wet face. I'll just powder when I get back to the classroom.

~ I leaned back in the chair. I simply took the powder from the pocket of my bag and also simply put it on my face. I almost jumped in my seat when someone touched me again.

“Are you okay?” Engraving this promise. I just nodded to her and then turned my attention back to our teacher who is still teaching.

“By the way, he's the one I'll introduce to you later.” She pointed to the back. Where the man is sitting I don't want to see. It looks serious upfront. I just ignored Grace's smiling like a dog. I don’t know how I can prevent her from introducing me to what she is saying. Furthermore, I don't want to know him. Furthermore, I don't want to be sure that he is.

“Let's go!” She shouted. She pulled me upright when she saw me not moving in my chair. Likewise, she was in a hurry because of Mr Fajardo. Not only that, but she dragged me down the stairs, while I reluctantly dragged her.

I didn't know where we were going, yet I didn't know where that Fajardo was going. It is not important to know.

“There he is!” He pointed it out again and then pulled me towards Fajardo again with no expression on his face.

“Hi, Dylan!” She greeted happily. One just looked at him then turned his gaze to me,

“By the way, this is Mia Joy, MJ for short,” she said again while greeted her teeth.

“And MJ, this is Mark Dylan Fajardo, we're best friends,” this introduction seemed thrilling. I no longer know what expression he sees from me. I don’t know how to hide emotion, while him, you can’t see any emotion on his face. That's him. Confirm. I tried to smile, even though I looked plastic in his eyes. I held out my hand to shake hands, and also as a courtesy because he was my friend's best friend. But, he did not accept my outstretched hand. He got up from his seat and passed us. He doesn't have manners. I hate it. And I hate it more because he doesn't know me!
