After Faang Yun passed away, the original owner hadn't attended any evening events, so there was nothing suitable in the closet for such an occasion. Relying on that mother-daughter duo was out of the question, so Chiang Ci had to head to the mall to pick out an evening gown, then took the subway back home.

She happily glanced at the balance on her phone, reminding herself to work hard and earn more. With six months to go... she relaxed a bit. If Prof. Su could speed things up... it might just work out.

After adjusting her bangs and pinning one side of her hair back with a pearl clip, she slipped a ring onto her middle finger. Satisfied with her simple yet elegant look, she felt ready for the day.

Meanwhile, in the Bai family living room, three people were chatting. Bai Zichen was reluctantly there, pressured by his dad to invite Chiang Xinxin to Elder Ji's 60th birthday party. He dragged his friend Lee Jiayi along for company.
