C2 The real Nora appears
Lucy went to Nora's place later that night.
“Girl, I had no idea that your date was the CEO of the company you are working for, so how did it go, did everything go as planned?.” Nora asked softly, grabbing onto Lucy's arm.
“ Well, the mission ³ accomplished and trust me, you aren't going to hear from ³ ³36³.” Lucy replied. Smiling and laughing loudly.
“ Uhhhhhh…. that's my girl, you are such a true friend, I love youuuuu…. I owe you one.” she said. Laughing and bouncing from foot to foot.
“ Yeah, you really do owe me for that.” she stuttered. They were jumping, singing and dancing in excitement and happiness. Nora got a call from Williams about the blind date.
“ Lu…..cy, what did you do on your blind date. Please tell me, Williams wants to marry me, no, not me it's you.”Nora screamed with a loud voice. Shaking her head and grabbing Lucy's arms tightly.
“ What? Marry…….” Lucy became so speechless, shaking
uncontrollably.
They were both in a confused state not knowing what to do.
Lucy went back home feeling so frustrated and unable to sleep or relax. Then she got a call from her best friend Nora.
“ Hey, what do you want from me again?”. Lucy asked
“ Hello, I'm hiding in a hotel because of you. Ever since the marriage stuff my dad tried making both families meet to plan the wedding, so I ran away from home. Nora replied, collapsing on the chair looking around her room in confusion.
“What? A hotel, so are you blaming me for it now? You were the one who brought the whole idea.” She muttered. Scrubbing her hands over her face.
“ Wait, what if I ran into my boss at work, what would I do?. Lucy said, scattering her hair with her hands.
“ You know the chances of a boss and employee meeting at a work place is rare. So don't worry too much.” Nora replied
“So, please Lucy tell me what I'm going to do? Or Should I just run away forever?”. Nora asked. Rubbing her hand on her back and walking around her room.
“I suggest you should just meet Williams and tell him that the person he wants to marry isn't real Nora that you hired me from an agency to go on the blind date for you” she replied smiling lightly
“ No, I'm not definitely doing that, my dad is going to disown me for that. So why don't you help me clean the mess since you started it. Nora muttered. lowering her voice so that she will not annoy Lucy.
“ I'm not helping you" she answered and ended the call.
The next morning, Lucy woke up late. And she was already late for work. As she was about to enter the elevator she met Williams, his assistant Henry and Williams grandfather Edward inside the elevator. She became petrified, not even able to move a muscle.
“Aren't you coming in.?” Williams asked. rudely.
“Uhh… yes,”Lucy replied. Staring down at her feet
“ Oh my God! This is not good at all. The chances of a boss and employee at the work place are rare, my foot.” She muttered to herself. Biting her lips.
Lucy was remembering what Nora told her about boss and employee stuff that made her even more annoyed. She was just eyeing at the exit waiting patiently for the elevator to open so that she could just run.
At the office, Williams was pondering why his grandfather came to the office because he barely came to office.
“ Grandpa, what brings you to my office today? Williams asked.
“ What were you expecting, yesterday when you told me you were going to get married to Nora, I was doubting if you were serious about it, so I decided to come see you myself.” he said. Narrowing his eyes, squinting.
“ Yes, I'm getting married to Nora and nothing has changed about it. We're meeting this weekend again.” He replied with a nod.
“ But, you just want to get married after going on only one blind date. How sure are you that she would agree to marry you.” his grandfather asked.
“ Grandpa, look at me with my wealth, handsome face and body, she will not dare not reject me.” He said confidently, raising his shoulders.
“ Yes, that's true.” His grandfather nodded his head.
****
Nora was looking for a good spot to park her car.
“ Who parks cars like this these days, where do I park my car now?” she said angrily, scattering her head.
She mistakenly hit a car, not knowing the car was William's car. So she came out to apologize. Williams' assistant Henry came out too.
“Ohh I'm sorry, it wasn't intentional.” she said, apologizing to Henry.
“ Okay, it's fine ,it's just a scratch.” Williams assistant replied.
Nora become attracted to him " oh my God! This guy is so handsome, I wish he could be my boyfriend. Let me introduce myself so that I can get his contact information” Nora murmured to herself smiling.
“ My name is Nora, I'm the director of the Bank of America company.” She said, giving him her card.
When Williams heard the name Nora he came down from the car.
“ What? Nora? You are the real Nora, so the Nora I went on a blind date with was the fake right? Williams asked.
“Wait, you must be Williams, the CEO of McDonald's company right?. She asked in a shrill voice.
Come let's go somewhere better to discuss this.” He said. Nora followed him.
So they went to a nearby restaurant.
“ You want to tell me that the lady I went on a date with was the fake Nora, that you are the real Nora right? Williams asked, frowning.
“ Yeah, I'm the real Nora." She replied, breath bursting in and out
“So who was the lady I went on the blind date with? Do you know her?
" No I don't know her at all, I hired her from an agency to go on the blind date for me, because I don't want to go on the blind date". she stuttered, growing flustered.
" I want you to bring her to me the lady that I went in a date with, she owns me an apology.”
“ Okay, I will bring her to you"
Nora left thinking of how to persuade Lucy to meet with Williams.
Knowing it not going to be easy.
Williams told his assistant to prepare the next person for the date.
“ Tell me who go on ten blind date in one day? ohh I'm so exhausted” his face look pale
“ I have never seen or heard any go on ten blind date in one day, you are the first in history, that's ridiculous.” He said in a mocking tone and laughing silently.
“ What's funny about it.” his incredulous look make him squirm.
“ No it's not."
“ The worst part is that all the ladies keep saying the same thing like you are my type, you are so handsome, and it makes me burnt out unlike the fake Nora, she wasn't interested in me but she was so funny, I think she is the perfect person and she's quite interesting.” Williams said losing his tie.
" Then go for her instead if she is the perfect person” his assistant muttered.
“ yeah, you are right, I have told the real Nora to bring her to me.
We are meeting this week.”
