C14 Employed

Amy's heart sank when she heard Andrew's words, but she swiftly corrected her attitude.

So what if she didn't see it? It would be awkward if she had feelings for a year or two, and then he wouldn't even like her at that moment. What a humiliation that would be! It was also good this way. It's fine to simply sleep together every day and do her stuff the rest of the time.

"Andrew. I might have to go out tomorrow," Amy spoke to Andrew.

"Sure, you can go wherever you want, but this location is out of the way. Taking a taxi or a bus is problematic, so I will arrange for a driver to pick you up. Did you save my number? Just give me a call when you want to return, and I'll arrange for the driver to come and pick you up." Andrew had made plans in such a way that Amy couldn't find any excuses.

Amy was on her way back to her room when Andrew spoke out again.

"How was your interview today, Young Madam? Did you succeed?"

"Oh, the interview today? I think I didn't pass, so I'll keep looking for work tomorrow." It would be strange if she could pass with that stingy man around. Amy was completely devoid of hope.

"Oh, it's all right. You will eventually find one, Young Madam. You can also count on our family to support you." Andrew was perplexed. She already had a wonderful husband. Why did she continue to go to work? Wasn't it natural for a woman to spend her husband's money?

"Well, okay. Andrew, I'll go back to the room first. If there's anything, just call me." After finishing, Amy went upstairs. She was in a very bad mood today.

First, she went to the interview. Why did she meet that stingy man? She had hoped to join the Promising Group, but it was now all for naught. That person should be in charge of a department. He appeared to be a shameless individual who draws attention to himself. Even a simple look at him irritated her.

Then there was the divorce. Forget about it; forget about that scumbag!

Finally, she got married… again. She didn't even know what her husband looked like. Even though she stated that she didn't mind, she did in her heart.

Which woman wouldn't desire a grand wedding? Who wouldn't want to dress in a lovely wedding gown and make her way to the side of the man she adored?

However, she lacked all of these. She didn't even wear a bridal gown when she married Mason Gasper. She had truly suffered a loss in her life. She hoped that the next time she got married, she would wear a wedding gown. But now, it was just a dream to have.

Amy's mind wandered, and she slept off. She had been tormented for the entire night last night. Her mind was worn out, especially with the interview during the day.

The phone kept ringing as if it didn't want to stop. Amy felt drowsy and didn't want to pick it up. But the phone rang unrelentingly. She didn't have a choice. She couldn't help but reach for the phone on the bedside table.

She noticed that it was yet another unknown phone number. She didn't recognize it, so she ignored the phone.

However, the phone rang once more. Amy angrily picked up the phone. Before she could go insane, a soft and friendly voice sounded on the other end of the phone.

"Hello there. Is this Ms. Amy Miller?" Amy's resentment was cut in half after hearing such a lovely voice.

"Yes, that's me. Who is this? What's the matter?"

"Great! Ms. Amy Miller, I am from the Promising Group. Do you recall that you came in for an interview this morning?" The sweet voice talked calmly.

"Yes, yes, I remember." Amy, on the other end of the phone, nodded repeatedly, and she became excited.

"Yes, I have called to inform you that you have been selected by our Promising Group. Congratulations! You can directly report to the Human Resources Department tomorrow." The calm and friendly voice finally finished speaking.

"Really?" Amy's voice had risen an octave, and her drowsiness had vanished.

"Hehe, yes. It's true, Ms. Miller." Perhaps the other person was astounded as well.

"Thank you! I will be there and report tomorrow. Thank you very much!" Amy leaped up and down on the bed as she hung up the phone. This day, the haze in her heart had vanished without a trace.

"Young Madam, you should eat more." Andrew noticed Amy was only eating rice and even giggled at times. He was genuinely concerned for the young master. Was this girl ill?

"En, okay." Amy awoke at this moment. She was still thinking about how happy she was.

She was finally able to work at the Promising Group, and she would have enough money to buy nutrition supplies for her father.

Even when Richard got home and opened the door, Amy's quick burst of laughter during her sleep took him by surprise.

Amy then rolled over and slept soundly, and Richard shut the door behind him.

He had a meeting until one o'clock in the morning. Normally, he would spend the night in the office at this time, but he really wanted to go home. It was a completely different experience having a woman at home.

Richard stared at Amy in the moonlight. Her skin was gleaming and supple, and her features were delicate. She was a lovely young lady.

Richard was charmed by her, kissed Amy on the lips, and then proceeded to take a shower.
