C15 Was Her Ex-husband Blind?

Amy was still half-asleep when she felt someone holding her in his embrace. She could smell the cool mint fragrance on his body.

After that, her body felt cold and then warm. A hot body covered hers.

Amy snapped back to consciousness. She wanted to struggle, but she remembered that she had already married him when she touched that warm body. He had the right to do so.

"You're my husband, but why don't you let me see your face?" Amy stroked Richard Carter's hair. His hair was very luxurious: thick, smooth, and soft.

"I'm afraid I might scare you." Richard said simply, and started his work.

He didn't know what was wrong with him. Once he started tasting her, he became enamored with Amy's scent. Even as he was at work, Amy's body pervaded his thoughts.

As a 28-year-old man, he had never been with any woman before. No one would believe it.

Amy couldn't help but laugh when she heard what Richard said.

They were obviously doing something important, but she could still laugh. This made Richard unhappy.

"Why are you laughing? Can't you be serious?" he grumbled.

"It won't matter how ugly you are, you won't scare me. Some people can be good-looking but can have such dark hearts. You can't be more terrifying than them." Amy couldn't help but think of Mason Gasper.

Mason was good-looking, but he was outright scum.

Richard and Amy didn't say anything after that. The temperature in the room dropped drastically.

When he heard Amy compare him to that scum, Richard was mad. He and Gasper were clearly not on the same level. Besides, what exactly were they both doing now? How could she still think of another man when they were being together? No wonder Mr. Carter would not be happy.

Tonight, Richard only did it twice and then left huffily. He was really angry, but Amy didn't notice at all. She thought that her husband was just like this, so she did not take it to heart.

Thinking that she would have to go to Promising for an interview tomorrow, she was especially excited. Not long after Richard left, she fell asleep again.

Richard was already out of the room when he remembered that he had left his phone. He went back to Amy's room. When he heard her breathing evenly, he got even angrier.

This woman was really heartless. She got him angry and then she went back sound asleep. If it wasn't for the fact that she was going to the company tomorrow, he really wanted to wake her up and make her suffer again.

Early in the morning, the sweet fragrance of flowers drifted into Amy's room. She took a deep breath and felt that today would be a bright and beautiful day.

Rising up from the bed, she went to the window and looked down. Wow. Surprisingly, there was a pink rose bush below.

The owner of this villa, her husband, was really romantic. He had planted so many roses, but this pink rose was a bit too feminine, wasn't it?

Breathing the sweet floral fragrance in the air again, Amy girded herself for war. She tied her long hair behind her, making her look more mature.

She opened the closet and looked at her choices. The pricetag of those clothes was shocking, so she preferred to wear the cheaper ones.

She did not want to owe this man too much. They were only supposed to be married for two years. She was afraid that she wouldn't be able to pay him back.

She picked out a white dress and found that it was designed in an elegant fashion, making her appear more gentle and dignified.

The dressing table was full of cosmetics, but Amy only knew how to use a few.

After applying some cream and lotion on her face, Amy thought for a while and decided to apply lipstick.

There were dozens of types of lipstick, but she just chose a lip gloss. It was enough to emphasize her already pink and plump lips.

After packing up, she held her bag and prepared to go out.

"Young Madam, breakfast is ready. After you eat, I'll get the chauffeur to drive you to the company. Oh right, I'll come and pick you up after work today. Young Master said that although he couldn't give you a proper wedding, he still had to give you everything that he could give you. He couldn't give you any less jewelry." Andrew Carter recited the lines as if he was reading from a script.

"No need. My dad's treatment has already been paid for. I don't want to owe him too much. Two years will pass in the blink of an eye," Amy refused.

She rejected it immediately, but it made Andrew's heart lighten. This girl was beautiful and had a good personality. Was her ex-husband blind?

In the few days that he had been in contact with Amy Miller, Andrew Carter's impression of her was getting better and better. Now he felt that his young master had found a treasure.
