C3 Homeless

Amy screamed at the top of her lungs, which startled the person who patted her. They began to scream in unison.

It was only then that Amy realized that it was Isabella Ashbluff, one of her best friends.

Isabella Ashbluff did not attend her wedding yesterday because she never got along with Violet Edwards.

"Isabella, you've terrified the living daylights out of me!" Amy was so terrified at this time that she thought the man had come to settle the accounts with her.

"Amy, you frightened me as well!" Isabella Ashbluff went so far as to pat her chest repeatedly.

For a brief while, the two of them had calmed down. Isabella dragged Amy into the coffee shop next to them.

"Is someone chasing after you? Why are you running so fast? I've been chasing and calling you for quite some time, but you didn't even notice me!" Isabella sighed and rolled her eyes at Amy after taking a seat.

Amy swallowed a mouthful of saliva. She felt that the heavens had taken pity on her and ran into Isabella today. She had finally found someone who would listen to her rants and grievances. Her face flushed, and tears streamed down her cheeks.

"Ah, dear? What's wrong? Did Mason Gasper bully you? Tell me, and see how I settle him! I'm going to chop him off to pieces!" Isabella stood up and rolled her sleeves up when she saw Amy's heartbroken expression. She was going to find Mason.

Amy gripped Isabella's hand and refused to let go. Isabella had a fiery temper, and she was well aware of it. She would definitely use force to resolve the matter if she knew Mason had bullied her.

"No, no, don't go. I'm already divorced, Isabella." Amy said, snuffling a little.

"Divorce? Amy, you're divorced already? You guys just got married yesterday! Are you kidding me? Hahahaha!" Isabella burst out laughing, tears streaming down her cheeks.

Amy was perplexed. What exactly happened? Isabella was so cheerful even though she's divorced? She kept giggling in front of her!

"Hey, hey, I'm divorced. What exactly are you giggling about? At the very least, you should act upset. Are you that elated? You're excited to see it happen?" Amy stopped crying at this point and wiped her tears away with a tissue.

"Oh, I was so concerned about you. I'm glad you're now divorced. I've already informed you from the start that Mason is unreliable, but you insisted on marrying him. I'm correct, right? He's nothing but a scumbag!" Isabella exclaimed as she ragingly pounded the table.

Fortunately, the coffee shop was less crowded in the morning. The waiters merely thought they required service and came over to ask. The two apologized before continuing their conversation.

"The most sickening thing is that Mason and Violet are together! Do you know that they framed me? They came to the hotel and brought a lot of reporters to humiliate me this morning. They forced me to sign the divorce papers!" Amy was a little emotional when she said this.

She looked at Isabella, who was concernedly staring at her.

"However, these are no longer relevant. The issue is that I didn't even know who the man I slept with last night was! I've had my body pure for the past twenty years, yet it's gone just like that!" Amy's eyes reddened again as she sipped her coffee.

"Don't worry about it, Amy. Those two are scumbags, and their relationship isn't going to last long. Also, don't dwell too much on what happened last night. It all happened anyway, and you could not do anything about it either. Move on, dear." Isabella consoled Amy.

Richard Carter was sitting in his car when he suddenly sneezed.

"CEO, are you uncomfortable with the temperature of the air conditioner? Shall I adjust it a little?" the driver inquired hesitantly.

Richard Carter didn't feel anything when he touched his nose.

"It's all right; keep on driving." His family intended to ask Richard to return home today. They claimed that they needed to talk about something crucial. He had to get back home as soon as possible.

Isabella went all out to console her divorced best friend. They spent the entire day outside with one another.

Amy wanted to vent her anger. She was looking for a way to let off steam. Isabella comforted her and went all out to cheer up Amy.

Amy only found out about a critical issue late at night. She was now homeless! She didn't have anywhere to stay and didn't know where to go.

She definitely couldn't return home. Everyone knew she married Mason. She even took out her savings and the family's remaining funds to buy a wedding house as a gift for herself and her husband. Back then, Mason Gasper persuaded her to write it in his name. For her, there's no difference between who was the owner of the house since they're going to be a family soon, so she unhesitatingly put his name on the contract.

However, she now regretted everything. She even failed to keep her family's last possession because of her infatuation with Mason.

"Isabella, the sky has already become dark, and it's going to be chilly. You should go back home now, or else your mom will become worried. Now, everything is good. I'm feeling a lot better." Amy persuaded Isabella to go back first.

"So, where do you intend to go? Will you be returning to your new house?" Isabella didn't seem to be relieved.

Amy gave a slight nod. "Don't worry about me. I can handle my own. You should go home now; otherwise, your mom will be worried. We've been wandering the entire day, and I'm really grateful to you. I am fine now."

Isabella was shoved into the car and was forced to return home by Amy.

Amy blankly stared in the distance while sitting down at the side of the road after Isabella had left. What now? Where should she go?
