C9 Take a Shower
Amy double-checked her handbag and discovered no missing items. She was content. When Andrew left, she then remembered that she had a very important question to ask.
Amy waited for Andrew patiently as she sat on the sofa in the living room.
Andrew returned to the living room after placing the contract in the young master's study.
"Miss Miller, I'll show you to your room." Andrew said to Amy.
"Okay. Oh, by the way, Sir. I'm curious as to what your young master's name is. He would be my husband anyway, and I couldn't possibly be clueless, right?" Amy followed closely behind Andrew and inquired.
Andrew abruptly came to a halt, and Amy bumped on his back.
"Ouch!" Amy wasn't expecting Andrew to stop.
"I am sorry, Miss Miller. To avoid further complications, you will have no idea who the young master was during the two years you were married to him. So that when you divorce, you won't have anything to worry about." Amy felt that what Andrew said was correct.
Amy Miller gave a nod of approval. Her husband impressed her with his thoughtfulness. Actually, she didn't want to know who he was either or see his face. Her heart might not be able to withstand him if he was too ugly.
Andrew didn't say anything because Amy was well-behaved and didn't ask any more questions. He left after bringing Amy into her room.
This was a pretty large room. There was a large circular bed in the center, surrounded by black and white décor. It appeared to be a man's room.
She was tortured for an entire night the other night. Last night, she spent almost the whole night in the hospital. When Amy saw the nice, large bed at this point, her entire person appeared to collapse.
She didn't seem to mind that she was still dressed in her ragged dress. She simply removed her shoes and dozed out on the bed.
Amy Miller slept off soundly. It was already dark when she awoke.
To be more specific, she was awoken by starvation. She seemed to have not eaten anything all day.
Her stomach was rumbling with hunger. Amy got out of bed and turned on the bedside light.
She was the only person in the large bedroom, which was completely quiet. Amy checked the clock and discovered it was already one o'clock in the morning.
She pushed open the bedroom door, intending to go to the kitchen to get something to eat. When she went downstairs, she noticed that the living room was equally dimly lit. With a mobile phone's light, Amy slowly walked around. She was so engrossed in her slumber that she didn't remember the kitchen or dining room.
She was searching when the light next to her abruptly turned on. Amy's eyes were startled by the bright light.
"Do you want something to eat, Miss Miller?" Andrew's voice could be heard through the light.
"Ah, y-yes, I'm starving." Amy had no choice except to say it openly.
"Follow me." After a few turns, they arrived in the kitchen. "Wait on the table. At home, we don't have any leftovers. I'll get you some cakes and milk; just eat it for now." Andrew took some cake and milk from the fridge and handed them to Amy.
Amy smiled and took a bite of the cake as she thanked Andrew.
"Well, Miss Miller. There are a variety of clothes in your room. You can change your clothes, and then you can take a shower before going to bed." Andrew was at a loss for words and pondered the events of the day. When he went into Amy's room to call her to eat, she was sleeping soundly on the bed in her ragged clothes. If the young master saw it, he was unsure if he would be mad.
Amy's cheeks blushed. Wasn't this Sir indicating that she was a slob? She answered with a lowered head.
Amy finished the cake and went back to her room. She dashed to the bathroom in a hurry. She needed to bathe thoroughly; it had been two days since she had taken a bath. She deserved to be detested by others.
The bedroom door opened softly not long after she entered the bathroom, and a tall figure stepped in.
