C6 First day at work

Andrian's POV

I watched the girl whose name I later discovered to be Skylar as she entered mansion. I studied her like a predator would his prey.

"Good evening sir" she greeted nervously when her eyes met mine

I stared at her from her head to her toe without saying a single word.

"Follow me" I finally said after few minutes of silence

We walked for a while until we finally arrived at my study. I wouldn't want Avery to come downstairs and meet her in the sitting room, I'm fed up of that girl's behaviour.

"You're welcome to my mansion. Have your seat"

"Thank you sir" she answered politely and sat down

"So... I told you you're hired this morning. Do you know the job I hired you for?"

"No sir"

"Good. The vacancy we had was for my PA but your qualifications don't meet my expectation. What do we do about that?"

"Sir, I really need the job. I promise to be of my best behaviour" she said like she doesn't wants to look too vulnerable to me. Hmm! Trying to look tough I see.

"I came to a conclusion. You will have to live in my mansion for the time being so as to learn the things that has to do with being my PA and during that time, you will also work as my maid. Are you okay with those terms?"

"I'm okay with learning the things that would make me a perfect PA but living in your mansion is not something I want to do"

"If you're thinking I'm going to have s*x with you, then you're wrong. I'm not interested in women, they disgust me and you're not an exception"

"O.. okay but I have a sister, can she come with me?"

I thought about it for a while before deciding to allow her come with her sister. Avery doesn't really have a close friend so it will be great if she brought her sister along.

"You can come with your sister"

"Thank you sir."

"Make sure you dress cooperately to work tomorrow and don't forget you are to come with your belongings and your sister tomorrow after work. You can leave" I said to her and left the study.

I just hope she's different from my other PAs.

Skylar's POV

To say I'm happy is an understatement. Can't believe I finally got employed in one of the biggest companies in USA. Indeed, miracles happen.

I went back home after Sir Andrian dismissed me grinning from ear to ear.

But now that I think about it, how will I explain to Ella? Andrian said we should pack our things over to his mansion tomorrow and I don't want to loose my job.

Thinking about it, we didn't talk about the amount of money he's going to pay me and I need to pay Ella's tuition fee soon. I guess I will try talking to him about it tomorrow.

Ella was watching TV in the sitting room when I got home and I suddenly became nervous.

Am I really going to tell her I've been deceiving her by dressing up for work all this while? Oh goodness!

"Sister Skylar! Welcome"

"Thanks Ella. How have you been?"

"Fine sis. So how was your outing?"

"It was fine" I answered faking a smile

"Ohh.. I prepared dinner already. You can take a shower and come back to have it"

"Thanks Ella. You're the best little sister ever"

"And you're the best big sister ever" she said winking at me

What a lovely sister I have!

Mason's POV

After a long search, I've finally been able to get the place Skylar lives.

I heard her parents passed away so she's no longer a rich girl. I heard she lives in her parents house with her lite sister.

I'm sure she wouldn't hesitate to say yes to me once I ask her out because she needs a helping hand now.

I would have gone to her house first thing tomorrow morning but the winner of the contract will be decided tomorrow so I will see her in the evening after work.

Besides, I don't think she will sit idly at home in the morning doing nothing. From what I found out, she's into different part time jobs so it will be late in the night before she arrive home.

Tomorrow! Tomorrow!!

Zoey's POV

Leah has finally drafted a plan on how to win Andrian over, that girl is a genius!

She asked me to work in Andrian's company for starters, that way I will get closer to him and prevent any bitch from going closer to him.

I'm a model and I know handling another job with my modelling career is going to be really difficult but I'm willing to do anything to have Andrian to myself.

I don't know how far I'm willing to go for him but for now I know I can go to the end of the world for him.

I will go to his company tomorrow and ask him to give me a job, he wouldn't hesitate because I'm the only female friend he has.

I wish it's tomorrow already.

Skylar's POV

I woke up to the blaring sound of my alarm. I don't want to be late on my first day at work so I decided to set my alarm.

I knelt beside my bed, said a quick prayer and started preparing for my new job.

I was done with everything in an hour's time so I went to the bathroom to take my bath.

I haven't even told Ella that we will be moving to a new house this evening, I don't know where to start from.

Pushing the thought behind me, I had a cool bath and came out of the bathroom. Minutes later, I was done.

"Ella, are you through?" I shouted from my room

"Yes big sis"

"Alright. Come downstairs for breakfast"

I quickly took my bag and went to the kitchen to dish our food.

We sat at the dinning and ate before leaving the house.

After making sure the door was properly locked, we went to the bus stop.

Ella took a bus to school while I took a cab to C. A company.

The cab man dropped me at the gate of the company and I paid him off before proceeding to the company.

Wow! It's like this company keeps getting bigger and more beautiful with each passing day.

I got to the reception and I was directed to my office. Seems like Sir Andrian had told them about me before.

"Good morning sir" I greeted immediately I got into sir Andrian's office

His manager already briefed me on the things I'm supposed to do and the ones I'm not supposed to do.

I'm to give him coffees in the morning by 7:30am and by 2:00pm in the afternoon and he doesn't like much sugar in it.

So here am I in his office with the coffee.

"Morning. I see you're taking your job seriously. Well done!

You can drop the coffee and leave"

He said all those things without even sparing me a glance, his head was buried in the files on his table.

I admire him for his hard work. That's the only thing I like about him.

"Alright sir" I dropped the coffee and left.

His secretary told me he hates it when he talks to someone and the person doesn't respond so I have to answer him even if what he says is irrelevant.

I went back to my office and started going through his schedule for the day.

As his PA, I'm supposed to be in the same office with him to make things easier for both of us but because of his dislike for ladies, we can't be in the same office.

I see he has a contract to finalize this afternoon. He doesn't really have anything on his schedule this morning except a meeting with some of the workers in the company and I don't think that's a big deal.

I saw some files on my table which I'm expected to give to the typist.

I stood up and went to the secretary for directions since it's my first day here but on the way, I bumped into someone or should I say the person bumped into me making all the files fall on the floor.

The files are really important because we're going to use them in the contract we will be having this afternoon.

I was about bending down to pick the files when someone slapped me. What the hell!

I looked up to see it was the lady I had bumped into. What was that for?

"Are you blind? You bumped into me and instead of apologizing, you're bending to pick some files. Are those files more important than I am?"

"Yes, they are more important than you are. From your dress, I can see you're an important person here so I will let this slide but the next time you raise those filthy hands on me, I will show you the stuff I'm made of" I said coldly without emotions before focusing on the files that were scattered on the floor.

The lady fumed in anger for some minutes before leaving. Gosh! Does she really have to ruin my first day?

I picked all the files and proceeded to the typist to get the job done quickly.

"Sir, it's 1:30 and you're having a meeting by 2:00pm. Will you like to take your coffee before we leave or you will take it when we get back?" I asked him when I noticed we were having just thirty minutes left

For the first time since I've been coming to his office, he raised his head to look at me and for a while, I got scared.

Have I done something wrong? Is he going to sack me now? Oh Lord, please...

"I will take the coffee on the way. Get ready, we will leave now" he said and focused on his work

Phew! I released the breath I didn't know I had been holding since. I had actually thought I will get fired.

I quickly went back to my office and took all the files we will be needing there before proceeding to make his coffee.

"I'm ready sir" I said when I got back to his office

"Alright"

He rounded up the work he was doing and walked out of the office. I locked the door and walked a bit fast so as to meet up with him.

We made use of separate cars since he said ladies disgust him.

We arrived at the place where the contract was to take place and they started the process.

I didn't see the face of the other person because of his PA but he looked somehow familiar.

They did the necessary things and also presented the necessary files before they made a decision on who the contract will be awarded to.

"After going through the due processes, we've finally decided to award the contract to......."
