“Hey, Gwen!” I called as I headed to the door. “Are you ready? At this pace, there won't be any bagels left when we reach the coffee shop.”

“What! Whenever did we decide to visit the coffee shop today?” she shrieked from her room.

I scoffed. “Are you fucking serious right now? We agreed on it last night, but I guess you were too busy dozing off on me!”

“Ugh! Cut me some slack
