C5 Book Collection Pavilion

This day held a complex mix of emotions for the disciples of the Elemental River Sect.

They had witnessed the downfall of a prodigy. Chu Yun, absent from the public eye for two months, had made a sudden reappearance.

He was once the revered Eldest Brother of the Sect. However, after his Martial Spirit was taken from him, he didn't succumb to despair or reignite his fighting spirit; instead, he became rather odd.

The disciples watched him descend from Xiaoqing Peak, wandering the sect with the curiosity of a child, seemingly fascinated by everything.

At times, they would see him joyously pick up a Glazed Stone from the ground, then scurry to the roadside to gather more stones, treasuring them as if they were precious gems.

Other times, Chu Yun could be found at the demon beast farm, contentedly feeding the filthy creatures before leaving with a satisfied smile.

No one could fathom why Chu Yun engaged in such activities.

Many sighed in dismay, "It seems the ordeal from two months ago has overwhelmed Chu Yun. He's lost his mind. Such a tragedy!"

No one could grasp why Chu Yun collected Glazed Stones or why he fed the demon beasts. The consensus was that the shock had driven him to madness.

But the truth was, Chu Yun was merely completing tasks set by a system.

With the activation of the All Creation Fishing System, he was initially given ten Ordinary Grade Baits and one special bait.

Once Chu Yun exhausted these, he could only acquire new bait by fulfilling tasks. For instance, picking up a spiritual grass behind Xiaoqing Peak had triggered a mission.

This sparked an idea in Chu Yun.

So, on this particular day, he stepped out of Xiaoqing Peak, hoping to chance upon new missions.

And indeed, he discovered it was possible.

When he picked up the first Glazed Stone, the system's voice echoed in his mind, instructing him to collect eight Glazed Stones within fifteen minutes to earn two Ordinary Grade Baits.

After accomplishing this task, he ventured to the Demon Beast Farm, experimented with feeding the beasts, and triggered yet another mission: to feed twenty demon beasts, with the reward being three baits.

Chu Yun was simply fulfilling the system's missions, but to the onlookers, his actions were utterly baffling.

Chu Yun didn't feel like explaining, nor could he make it clear even if he tried.

If he had the time, he would be better off triggering a few more missions.

Unperturbed, Chu Yun continued to stroll through the Sect, taking in the sights of this otherworldly realm while seeking opportunities to embark on new missions.

That evening, Chu Yun made his way back to Xiaoqing Peak.

After a day's exploration, he had managed to trigger two missions and secured five Ordinary Grade Baits.

Without delay, he commenced another round of fishing.

"Congratulations, you have obtained a pair of Cloud Stepping Boots (Ordinary Grade)."

"Congratulations, you have obtained ten Fire Spiritual Grass seeds."

"Congratulations, you have acquired the insights of the Mortal Rank Martial Skill, Penetrating Golden Finger (Perfection)."

"Congratulations, you have obtained a piece of Dark Green Wood, a special material."

"Congratulations, you have gained ten years of Martial Dao comprehension."

Chu Yun was particularly thrilled by the last reward.

"Ten years of Martial Dao comprehension? This could directly elevate my realm. Is this insight meant to enhance my martial techniques and cultivation methods?" he pondered.

Shortly thereafter, Chu Yun returned to his quarters and retrieved a book.

This tome contained a Spiritual Level martial skill he had acquired from the Sect, known as Thousand Mountain Eight Forces.

The skill was designed to amplify one's attack power. At the Initial Stage, practitioners could triple their force, while at the Great Perfection Stage, they could multiply their strength eightfold, a truly formidable effect.

Yet, mastering a Spiritual Level martial skill was no easy feat. Chu Yun had dedicated two years to it and had only managed to cultivate the Thousand Mountain Eight Forces to the Fourth Force, barely reaching Minor Completion.

As Chu Yun opened the book, a system prompt echoed in his mind.

"You have unused Martial Dao comprehension. Would you like to use it?"

Chu Yun nodded and made the choice to utilize it.

Suddenly, he perceived a shift in the scene before him. Although the book remained unchanged, Chu Yun could sense that he was now able to discern far more than before, as insights and realizations rapidly swirled through his thoughts.

"Is this what rapid learning feels like? It's absolutely marvelous," Chu Yun marveled.

In just a single night, Chu Yun had applied six years of martial comprehension to master the Thousand Mountain Eight Forces to the Great Perfection Stage. When he executed this technique, even the most ordinary force would be amplified eightfold, resulting in a terrifyingly destructive power.

Achieving the Great Perfection Stage in a Spiritual Level martial skill was indeed exceptional.

The following day, Chu Yun set out early from Xiaoqing Peak and wandered around the Sect.

Rumors about him had already spread throughout the Elemental River Sect, but Chu Yun paid them no mind, continuing to follow his own path.

He intended to visit every peak except Chaoyang Peak, knowing that a mission could be waiting for him just about anywhere.

Of the Elemental River Sect's thirteen peaks, Mingzhao Peak was the one Chu Yun was most eager to delve into.

Mingzhao Peak, the Sect's main peak, was under the stewardship of the sect master, Immortal Shangyuan.

Open to all, Mingzhao Peak boasted various public facilities like martial arts training grounds, a library, and an armory. It was also the venue for significant Sect events.

Chu Yun now stood in the courtyard outside the library, where the autumn wind rustled the scattering leaves.

He picked up a broom from the wall, ready to clear the courtyard of its leafy blanket.

[Mission Triggered]

[Mission Details: Sweep the Compendium Pavilion's courtyard]

[Mission Time Limit: Within half an hour]

[Mission Reward: Three Ordinary Grade Baits]

Chu Yun's eyes sparkled at the announcement, and he began sweeping with gusto.

Inside the library, disciples came and went, each reacting differently upon seeing him sweep. Some pitied him, others scoffed, and still others were overcome with emotion.

The morning bell's chime reverberated through the mountains of Mingzhao Peak.

Soon after, a stooped old man in grey, broom in hand, entered the courtyard, ready to begin his own sweeping.

But soon, he was taken aback to discover that over half of the courtyard had already been meticulously swept clean.

"Child, what are you up to?"

The elder did a double-take upon noticing Chu Yun.

"I'm sweeping the floor!" Chu Yun responded, as if it were the most natural thing in the world. He gazed at the old man and cheerfully added, "Mr. Xu, you've dedicated decades to keeping the Compendium Pavilion clean. It's been a tough job for you. Since I'm free at the moment, I thought I'd lend you a hand."
