C6 Did She Hit His Head?

The next morning.

Stanley, who had been unconscious for the whole night, finally woke up.

He looked around with his dark coal eyes and immediately realized where he was.

It seemed like he was out of danger.

He used his palm to support himself and wanted to get up. However, just as he sat up, he slightly pulled on the wound on his abdomen, causing him to groan in pain.

Violet, who was lying on the edge of the bed, did not sleep too well. Thus, when she heard a slight groan, she was startled from sleep.

The moment she lifted her head, her eyes met with the man's cold gaze.

This caused Violet to be startled, "You're awake."

The woman's appearance was exquisite and her facial features were delicate. However, her lips were pale and her under eyes were black. Just with one look, anyone could tell that she had been guarding here all night.

Then, he looked at the bloodstains on her white shirt.

A few fragmented scenes from last night flashed through Stanley's mind.

It seemed like this woman was the one who saved him.

Stanley then said in a baritone voice, "Since you've saved me, name anything you want, don't be shy."

Violet was stunned again by his words. After a few seconds, she quickly explained, "It's not me."

Violet did not expect that the moment when the man opened his mouth, there would be such a misunderstanding regarding the situation.

However, she did not want to use this to avoid responsibility. If this man was to find out about the truth in the future, it would be even worse.

"Last night, I was the one who hit you on the road by accident..."

With that, Violet told him the entire incident from last night.

At first, she was worried that the man would get angry, yet Violet noticed that the man before her not only did not have any change in emotions, but also kept his dark coal eyes calm.

From the looks of it, he did not seem to care about being knocked over by a car.

This suddenly caused Violet unable to grasp the other party's attitude and could only bring up the matter of compensation, "Sir, I did not report to the police because I wanted to discuss this matter with you privately. How much do you think is appropriate to compensate you?"

The reason why she did not call the police was mainly that she was afraid that the matter would drag on for a long time and also she had planned to leave City J.

Stanley then replied, "No need."

His voice was low, but it sounded tired.

No need?

Violet was a little confused of his answer.

Could it be that she had hit his head last night?

Hence, Violet was considering to find a doctor later to do a comprehensive medical check up for the man.

"Are you hungry? I'll go buy you some food."

After that, Violet stood up and walked out of the ward.

On the way back after buying his breakfast, Violet gave Haisley a call.

"Hello? Violet, how's things going? How's the man's condition right now?"

The moment the call got through, Haisley anxiously asked.

Throughout the night, Haisley was extremely worried, yet she did not dare to take the initiative to call Violet as she was afraid of disturbing her while she was dealing with the matter.

Once Violet heard her best friend's voice, she instantly felt a trace of relief. She then walked to a place with lesser people and explained the situation.

However, Haisley also dare not made a conclusion over the phone.

Suddenly, the voice of the two babies sounded through the phone.

Kai said, "Mommy, don't be afraid. We'll go to the hospital to accompany you later."

Once Kai finished his sentence, Ana continued, "Mommy, Ana misses you."

"Ehm, Mommy misses both of you too," Violet's eyes moistened slightly. This was the first time she had been separated from her two little babies for such a long time.

What happened last night was so urgent that she did not have the time to comfort her two little babies.

After hanging up the phone, Violet was no longer as anxious as before. When she brought the breakfast back to the ward, the hospital bed was empty and the man in the room was nowhere to be found.

"Hello, have you seen the patient in Bed 808?" Violet anxiously ran to the nurse counter.

"That gentleman has just discharged not long ago."

Stanley's appearance was eye-catching, therefore, the nurses on this floor all knew about him.

Discharged from the hospital?
