C4 The Father and Son Met Through the Door

Early in the morning.

Nina finished her breakfast and was about to leave.

Since the device was gone, she had to go to her friend's place to get another set.

"Baby, you have to be obedient at home!" Nina kissed Asher on the cheek.

Asher held the door frame with his small hands and raised his head slightly. There was a little expectation in his eyes. "Mommy, can I go with you?"

"No, you can't. At this time of the day, the whole street is filled with willow branches." Nina couldn't bear to leave the little guy alone at home, but his physical condition did not allow it.

Due to his illness, his body's immunity was lower than that of ordinary children. Now that it was a cold season, the risk of catching a cold was too high if he went out.

"Alright, Mommy, see you later." Asher waved goodbye with a smile.

Nina's heart ached as she held the face of the little girl with both hands. "What do you want to eat, Ash? Tell Mommy. I'll buy it for you."

"As long as it's something Mommy buys, I like it." Asher shyly kissed Nina.

Nina deliberately teased him. "Do you like durians too?"

Asher pouted. "Mommy, you're so bad!"

Nina smiled proudly. Since she had agreed with her friend to get the device, she did not dare to delay and immediately went downstairs.

Almost as soon as she walked out of the district, Harold and Everett appeared at the door.

Everett knocked on the door and tactfully retreated to the side.

"Who is it?" A childish voice sounded.

Harold's face was cold, but he did not answer. Everett winked at him to signal him to speak. However, the former did not have any intention of doing so.

Everett cleared his throat and said in a gentle tone, "Hello, little friend. I'm your mother's friend. She asked me to bring you something. Can you open the door?"

When he finished speaking, Harold heard the sound of moving chairs.

Harold looked at the cat eye on the door and thought of something. The corner of his mouth curled up slightly.

He was so young, but he was quite wary.

"Mommy's friend?" Asher stood on the stool and tiptoed to look through the cat eye.

It was an unfamiliar uncle with a cold and fierce expression on his face.

His mother had told him not to open the door to strangers.

Everett giggled. "That's right. Your mommy's name is Nina. I'm her colleague."

But his mother had no job now.

Hmph, liar!

And two!

Did he really think that he was as good as a three-year-old?

Asher puffed up his cheeks and pretended to be obedient. "Uncle, wait a moment. I'll go find the key to open the door."

"Okay, don't be in such a hurry. Take your time!"

Harold looked at him as if he was looking at a retard. Then, he went downstairs.

"Sigh, Mr. Douglas, why did you leave?"

When the two of them went downstairs, Harold quickly pulled Everett to a corner to hide. A few seconds later, two police officers from the neighborhood came upstairs.

Everett was speechless.

'What a good boy! He actually called the police!'

"Mr. Douglas, now..." Everett pointed upstairs.

Fortunately, he had dodged it quickly. Otherwise, if he had met the police, he would not have been able to explain it clearly, not to mention with such a noble identity like Harold.

Harold looked at the message he had just received and snorted lightly, "I'll go to the hospital now. Take two bodyguards to guard here. No matter what, find a way to get that child's hair."

The most important thing right now was to confirm whether the child was his or not.

Also, he had to find out when he had been with that damned woman!
