C28 Clothing

After dinner at night, Chen Xing brought Yeyang Bailiu to the combat clothing shop on the second street of the east of Dragon Stone Town.

There were seven main streets in Dragon Stone Town. The west street, the west two streets, and the west three streets were mainly for accommodation and food. The east street, which was mainly for the government, the hospital, the auction house, and the trading center, the east two streets, which were mainly for business companies and mercenary guilds, and the east three streets, which were mainly for maintenance and second-hand goods.

The towns in the Dragon Saliva River were basically planned in this pattern. Any travelers who had just arrived could quickly find a place to stay, a restaurant, and a supply point that suited them.

Looking around, it was a shop that was about two to three hundred square meters. It was a middle-class shop with bulletproof vests, protective armor, assault rifles, waterproof military uniforms, and everything else one could think of. Iron-skinned military boots, hiking boots, all-terrain sports shoes, and so on. There was a plethora of items. There were also berets, large-brimmed hats, explorer hats, motorcycle helmets, gloves, sun glasses, wrist guards, and so on.

"To show my apologies, you can choose a set of equipment that suits you," Chen Xing said hypocritically.

"Any price?" Yeyang Bailiu asked.

"The best is within fifty," Chen Xing said. His voice was much weaker.

"Are you talking about silver coins?" Yeyang Bailiu asked again.

"Uh..." Chen Xing was choked for a moment, but he still quickly replied, "No, gold coins."

"Thank you." Yeyang Bailiu nodded slightly at him, then walked towards the clothing area.

Chen Xing followed behind her, thinking about whether he should buy one for himself. His physique evaluation was only 9. He was simply a weakling, not even reaching the standard of an ordinary person. However, he had a sense of danger. As long as he did not advance recklessly, the chances of him getting injured were not high. As for the long-range assault rifles and sniper rifles, they were not something that a bulletproof vest could defend against.

As for the protective armor, the price was a problem, and the weight was another problem. His strength evaluation was only 12. Usually, only people who were over 20 years old would wear the beginner steel armor. If he braced himself to wear it, although the defensive ability would be increased, his movements would become very slow, and it would be even more dangerous. Unless he could afford the protective armor made of the skin of the giant lizard, it was too expensive. The movement of the armor would cost more than a thousand gold coins, so it was better to forget about it.

Not long after, Yeyang Bailiu picked a white cotton robe. The style was similar to what she had worn before. It was made of four pieces, a cape, a long gown, a cheongsam, and a loose cotton long trousers and a short-sleeved shirt.

This type of clothing was called "battle surplice." It evolved from the clothing of clergymen before the Great Calamity. It was very popular among female adventurers.

The cape could block the wind and rain to a certain extent, and it could also prevent the sun from shining on it. The relatively loose long pants, the openings of the qipao style, were good for running and using fighting skills. It was also not as ugly as the waterproof military uniform or the long robe.

The battle surplices, the gothic princess battle dress, and the female explorer were collectively known as the Three Great Warrior Sets.

The gothic princess battle dress was made up of a corset, a flowery dress, a lace short skirt, a pair of lace stockings, and a pair of long gloves. It was usually paired with a gothic flower hat and a pair of iron boots. The female explorer was made up of a multi-pocketed short-sleeved jacket, a cotton long-sleeved shirt, a multi-pocketed short pants, a cotton long pants, and a multi-pocketed belt. It was also usually paired with an explorer hat and a pair of all-terrain sand boots.

The three styles were sold in stores, but Yeyang Bailiu seemed to be uninterested in the other two. She didn't even take a glance at them.

"It's best not to wear white. It's easy to get dirty in battle," Chen Xing suggested.

Yeyang Bailiu hesitated for a moment, put down the white one, and picked up a set of black one.

"It's not good to wear black. Your skin is too white. It's not suitable," Chen Xing commented.

Yeyang Bailiu turned her head and glared at him. She put the clothes on the cabinet and said, "You can choose."

Thus, Chen Xing picked a set of light blue and a set of dark blue. He said, "This thing is not expensive. You can buy a few more. The dark ones can be used outside, and the light ones can be worn in town."

"Then, two sets of dark ones. I still have a few sets of white ones in my room." Yeyang Bailiu said. Then, she carried the clothes and walked into the changing room. As the battle surplices were very common, there were all kinds of sizes.

Yeyang Bailiu quickly wore them and came out. After changing into the military uniform, the wildness immediately disappeared, and was replaced by calm elegance. It was filled with the aura of a scholar. The advantage of this battle surplices was that it was both intellectual and athletic at the same time.

After picking up the clothes, Yeyang Bailiu called the salesperson over and asked him to pay the bill.

"Aren't you going to pick something else?" Chen Xing asked.

"No need, I have them in my room." Yeyang Bailu said. Although she was a bit down now, she was not a homeless person, and she lacked everything.

"I think you should buy a pair of dark goggles and some masks." Chen Xing said.

"Why?" Yeyang Bailiu asked curiously.

"I think your appearance will attract a lot of unnecessary trouble." Chen Xing leaned over and whispered.

"You mean..." Yeyang Bailiu raised her eyes and asked, "I'm very pretty?"

Chen Xing looked her up and down, then shook his head and said, "No, you look like a fat sheep."

Yeyang Bailiu narrowed her eyes and released a dangerous signal.

Chen Xing shrugged his shoulders and said, "Alright, I admit that even if you're a fat sheep, you're still a beautiful fat sheep."

Bailiu looked away and turned around to pick up her goggles.

After a while, she chose a light red pair of goggles. After putting it on, her peerless beauty disappeared.

"I suggest you choose an alloy armor," Chen Xing said.

There were three types of armor, which were alloy, plastic steel, and animal leather. Among them, the alloy armor was the heaviest, animal leather was the lightest, and plastic steel was the middle. The materials were also divided into different levels, but only the middle and low level ones were available here. They couldn't afford the high level ones.

"There's no need. I use my family's martial arts. Wearing the armor will affect my movements," Bailiu rejected.

"Is that so?" Chen Xing grinned and said, "If you wore the armor last night, I am afraid you wouldn't need to beg for mercy."

Bailiu was so angry that her face turned red. She gritted her teeth and turned around to pick up the armor.

This shameless guy was really bad. He was so good at taking advantage of her. He was just adding salt to her wounds.

Not long after, with the help of the two salesgirls, she put on a set of alloy armor. Her graceful figure and beautiful curves were all gone. Standing there, she was like a tall iron can.

Looking at herself in the mirror, Bailiu's face turned green. After all, girls loved to look good, not to mention a beauty of her level.

Beauty was the first priority, and combat power was always second.

However, the fact that she was covered in the iron shell gave her a sense of security, especially when her confidence was damaged.
