C12 Busted

It's already frowned upon by both the werewolves and vampires that Joslyn and Alyana are in a friendship; therefore, it goes without saying, surely 'all hell would break loose' if it were known that they are also in an actual relationship. Because of this, it's very difficult for them to go out on a romantic date; and nearly impossible for them to meet up for an intimate rendezvous like last night. That's why on these rare occasions when they're able to spend some time alone together, they do everything possible to make sure that they are undisturbed; this way they can enjoy every single moment focusing on each other, and only each other.

So, both of their phones have been turned off since last night. Meaning neither one of them have any idea what had occurred; or that their fathers had been calling since before dawn, frantically trying to get in touch with them to make sure they were alright ... and Joslyn also missed at least a dozen of her cousin's 'heads up' calls.

And what made things more frustrating for Count Von Barski was that Alyana was blocking out any telepathic connections, as well. ... Alpha Sebastian never even bothered reaching Joslyn by mind-linking her because it's well known by every Luminary Pack member that Joslyn never allows any mind-link connection whatsoever ... even with her Alpha and Luna parents. It's been this way since she was a teenager. As far as Joslyn was concerned, allowing herself to open up a mind-link connection would also mean opening up the possibility of having Belladonna contact her ... and Belladonna is the last one that Joslyn wants to have contact with, ever again.

Eventually, Alpha Sebastian did manage to get in contact with Frederick, who assured the Alpha that Joslyn was safe and sound but didn't reveal any more than that. The Alpha was satisfied just knowing that his daughter was okay; and understood why the bodyguard was reluctant to offer any further information. Frederick respects the Alpha's leadership; but ... like many others in the pack ... fears Joslyn's wrath.

Joslyn had decreed two 'Golden Rules' for Frederick and Monica to abide by ... and of course, anything else that came up; but those two were a must always to be followed ... first, that her and Alyana's relationship was to be kept a well-guarded secret; and second, when they were together, they weren't to be disturbed no matter what. Joslyn didn't worry about Doreen, because her cousin was 'her girl' and always had her back.

Therefore, again, this is why Frederick only told the Alpha that Joslyn was fine; and left it at that.

As for Ariel, because she spends a good portion of her time tending to and escorting Alyana most everywhere as her 'Lady-in-waiting', she's aware of their relationship ... and has also been sworn to secrecy by Alyana. But Ariel never accompanies Alyana when she has an intimate rendezvous with Joslyn; so, even if interrogated by Count Von Barski himself, Ariel would never be able to tell her father where she was anyway.

************

Once the 'horn dog sleazeball' leaves, Joslyn and Alyana sit down at the table to finally eat their breakfast. Although she's just fed on blood, Alyana still has a hearty appetite; and she begins to ravenously stuff herself with croissants from the breadbasket. Joslyn watches in amusement; eventually letting out a tittering chuckle. Alyana takes a break from eating and looks to Joslyn; slightly blushing while displaying a coyishly embarrassed expression...

"What ... am I making too much of a pig out of myself?"

Joslyn reaches over and lovingly takes hold of Alyana's hands in hers, then softly pats them...

"Never, baby." Then she playfully teases, "No; I just find it kind of funny. I never would have thought that I would ever see such a daintily demure person scoffing down croissants like that." Joslyn smiles as she quips, "And they say that us werewolves can 'wolf down' our food."

"I can't help myself; these croissants are perfectly golden brown and crisp on the outside, and light and fluffy on the inside. I just wish that I was able to eat them when they were still warm, so the butter would have melted nicely into them. ... Still, they're perfect for satisfying my hunger."

"I'm glad to hear that you like our hotel's croissants, and are enjoying them..." once again, Joslyn playfully teases her, "but didn't you just finish eating only a few minutes ago? What was it you said, something like ... 'sucking on a big sack of meat'?"

Alyana briefly chuckles as she quips, "True; but that was all protein ... let's face it, a girl needs her carbohydrates to comfort herself."

Joslyn smiles as she nods her head. "Fair enough."

They continue eating; and soon Joslyn brings up...

"By the way; it's a good thing you still have your ability place people under a hypnotic trance and control their minds; or else that fool would've probably spilled the beans and blabbed about us to everyone. The last thing we need is for word of our relationship to get back to our parents before we're ready to tell them. ... Honestly, I almost forgot that vampires have that capability."

"Not all of us..." Alyana clarifies, "only those of us that originally came from, or have familial ties with, vampire families with bloodlines stemming from royalty or nobility. Those who were turned or are from the newer generations don't have this ability."

"Well; I glad you have it. It definitely came in handy today."

Alyana starts buttering another croissant...

"I suppose it can be useful; but it's just like you and your inner-wolf ... like last night when you said that your wolf instincts were warning you that there was something that wasn't friendly watching us; am assuming by 'wolf instincts' you meant your inner-wolf.; right?"

A somber expression suddenly overtakes Joslyn's countenance; and she remains momentarily silent before responding in a sullen manner...

"Actually; I don't have an inner-wolf ... at least not anymore. I decided to get rid of my inner-wolf years ago."

A confounded expression suddenly overtakes Alyana's countenance, as she inquires...

"My love, I don't understand; what do you mean you don't have an inner-wolf ... how were you able to get rid of it?"

"I guess you can say that I 'killed it off' back when I was a teenager."

Hearing Joslyn say this shocks Alyana; totally taking her aback. They've been together for years now, and she's never heard Joslyn ever bring this us before ... that she didn't have an inner-wolf; and that she had 'killed it off'. Having watched Joslyn grow up since she was a child ... albeit from afar until the time that she become physically attracted to her ... Alyana was under the impression that she knew everything about Joslyn, and that they didn't have any secrets from one another; at least not anything as big as this. Stammering through a partially agape mouth, Alyana sheepishly asks...

"H-how ... h-how ... how did you ... kill it off? I-I don't understand; how is that even possible?"

Once again, Joslyn reaches over and lovingly takes Alyana's hands in hers; this time gently squeezing them...

"Baby, if it's alright with you; I'd rather not talk about this right now. I promise you that I'll tell you about it some other time; but for now, can we just not discuss this, and just enjoy the rest of our breakfast, together?"

Alyana could tell by the look on her face that Joslyn's starting to become upset over discussing this ... and the last thing Alyana ever wants to do is to upset Joslyn; because it pains her to see her lover troubled or hurt ... so she agrees to let this go ... for now. Alyana slowly draws Joslyn's hands to her mouth, and starts to tenderly kiss them...

Just as Alpha Sebastian ... using a passkey swipe card he took from one of the housekeepers on the way up there ... suddenly enters the Presidential Suite unannounced; closely followed by Count Von Barski.

A little startled at first, they quickly jump up from their seats ... still holding hands. Alyana tries to pull her hands away from Joslyn's; but Joslyn refuses to let go of her hold. She lovingly gazes into Alyana's eyes; and after a brief moment ... moving in unison as if they were somehow connected and in-sync with each another ... they nod to another, then turn to face their equally startled fathers.

Joslyn gently wraps her right arm around Alyana's delicately slender waist and draws her closely up against her, while Alyana takes hold of Joslyn's left hand and tenderly strokes it between her hand; and lightly rests her head upon Joslyn's shoulder. Then Joslyn takes a resolute stand, and boldly states with full conviction in an unwavering tone...

"Dad ... Count Von Barski ... what brings you two here all of a sudden? Why are you disturbing me and my lover?"

Proverbial speaking ... 'the dye has been cast'; and 'the line has been drawn in the sand'. In other words ... the girls have just been caught and busted by their fathers; and Joslyn has confessed and revealed their relationship while professing her true feelings for Alyana by openly referring to her as her lover.
