C13 Another Daughter Belittled

Count Von Barski ... adorned in a slightly over-sized black capa; with mahoitres and an ermine-lined collar...emanates a haughty air as he condescendingly sneers at Joslyn...

"Alyana is your lover? I must say Joslyn Hollister, you certainly hold a mighty high opinion of yourself; don't you? If anything, it's you that is Alyana's lover. After all, how many relationships have you had in your lifetime ... I can't seem to recall any. Whereas my daughter has been in dozens of them over the years..."

The count pauses briefly to look over at Alpha Sebastian, and shoots him over a mischievous grin as he tauntingly goads...

"And if my memory serves me correctly, I believe one of them was even Joslyn's own great-grandmother, Madeline, if I'm not mistaken ... wasn't it, Sebastian?"

At this moment, the Alpha would like nothing more than to punch the count square in the face and break his long, sharp Romanesque-like nose; hopefully smashing it in and shattering the bone into itsy-bitsy pieces. This subject is an extremely irritating sore spot ... actually, more like a taboo topic not to be spoken aloud in front of him ... involving his family's shameful disgrace over his grandmother's seemingly blasphemous indiscretion undermining a longstanding, tacitly agreed part of the pack's edict. The scandal created by this illicit relationship nearly had his family line dethroned from the Alpha-role in the pack. After that ordeal, Alpha Sebastian has always felt that he was truly blessed with luck to be able to hold the position of Alpha.

But, because of last night's unwarranted attack on a vampire ... allegedly done by a werewolf ... until the facts are sorted out, and the real perpetrator is discovered; all Alpha Sebastian can do now is 'bite his tongue' and humbly put up with Count Von Barski's taunts. He takes in a small breath, then nods...

"Yes, Herschel; you're correct, it was her."

"I thought so..." the count tauntingly muses, "Hmm ... looks like my daughter likes to keep things in the family; wouldn't you say, Sebastian?"

And another 'bite of the tongue', small breath, and nod...

"Yes; it looks that way."

Alyana has gone from being embarrassed to mortified...

"Father; what are you doing ... why are you saying these things?"

"What ... why; did I say anything wrong? It's true; isn't it?"

Alyana starts off a bit flustered while trying to explain and 'clear the air'...

"Well ... yes ... I mean no ... I mean ... it's true that I've been with others before ... and yes, one of them was Joslyn's great-grandmother ... but they really didn't mean anything to me. Sure, I liked them and had some kind of feelings towards them; but it was more of a physical attraction-based relationship, where I was just in it mostly for the sex."

Alyana, who's been holding onto Joslyn's hand the entire time, draws it up to her mouth and gently kisses it; then gazes lovingly into Joslyn's eyes...

"But it's totally different with Joslyn. I truly do love Joslyn with all my heart and soul. I'm in a real relationship with her, Father; one which goes beyond a physical attraction, but a love of everything about her ... mind, body and soul. It's not just based solely on sex, like it was with the others."

The count raises an eyebrow. "Really ... is that so?"

A mischievously devilish grin stretches across his long, thin, pallid lips as he looks over at the King-sized canopy bed with its bedding all in a jumbled disarray. Count Von Barski cups his hands behind the small off his back and saunters his way over towards it. Once beside the bed, he bends over until he's 'hovering over it' by a mere few inches and takes in an elongated sniff. After that, he stands upright and turns to look at Alyana and Joslyn...

"Hmm; can't say that I can smell the love ... but I'm definitely smelling the sex. What about you, Sebastian; what is that sharply acute wolf sense of smell of yours picking up on? Can it smell that robustly tantalizing aroma of a mixture of sweat, potently sexual pheromones, and vaginal and other bodily secretions?" He tauntingly goads, "I don't know, Joslyn; are you really that confident that my daughter really loves you? You know what they say ... a leopard never changes it spots."

Joslyn remains quiet, staring at the count while displaying a stoical expression. Shortly, an impish grin emerges on her lips; then she flippantly quips...

"Thankfully your daughter is a vampire, and not a leopard."

Joslyn uses her index and middle fingers to gently raise Alyana's chin up, then delivers a long, passionately tender kiss upon her lips. Then she lovingly gazes into Alyana's eyes as she unflinchingly attests...

"I totally believe that Alyana's love for me is pure and true ... just as mine is for her. And just so know, Count Von Barski, I'm fully aware of Alyana's past relationship with my great-grandmother; and like I told her, it doesn't bother me, at all. I really don't care about who she was with in her past; as long as I'm the one she's with now, and in the future."

Count Von Barski scoffs...

"Future? What kind of future do you think you can possibly have with my daughter, Joslyn? She's a vampire; making her practically eternally ageless. What do you think will happen as time goes by and you become old and decrepit? In another fifty, sixty years from now, Alyana might ... again, that's might ... look as if she's aged a year, or two. Do you honestly believe that Alyana will want to be in a relationship with some old hag? My guess is that she'll get tired of and dump you by the time you reach your mid-thirties ... forty tops. Alyana really is vain; and only appreciates beautiful things that are appealing and new or youthful."

The count pauses for a brief moment; allowing another mischievously devilish grin to appear...

"Oh, by the way, Joslyn; you only mentioned the relationship she had with your great-grandmother ... truth is Alyana was with quite a few partners over the decades. She really is a slutty, whorish harlot; you know."

Alyana cries, "Father ... how could you say that?!"

"Again; I'm only speaking the truth. Everyone knows that vampirettes are notoriously known for being lustful, succubus-like pleasure seekers; and you just so happen to exceedingly surpass fulfilling that reputation by far ... which really wouldn't bother your mother and I so much if you stuck to satisfying your carnal desires to our own kind; and not so easily jump readily into bed with other races."

A shamed Alyana immediately burrows her face into Joslyn's shoulder; but not before Joslyn catches a glimpse of the demonstratively disconcerted expression that quickly overtook her countenance. Immediately after that, Joslyn can feel Alyana's grip begin to tighten up; indicating that she's obviously agitatedly upset and bothered by her father's ridiculing chastisement. Joslyn sternly glares at the count with rebuking eyes...

"Count Von Barski; with all due respect ... not that I see that you deserve any, right now ... I really don't believe that a father should ever belittle or speak so ill of his own daughter ... but I suppose that's your own prerogative. But since she's my lover, I'm warning you; stop spouting that garbage and talking about her like that. Either shut your mouth, or I'll shut it for you."

Alpha Sebastian curtly snaps, "Joslyn!"

Count Von Barski quickly shoots up his hand and shakes his head at the Alpha...

"It's fine, Sebastian..." he turns and looks at Joslyn while speaking to the Alpha, "I'm well aware of your daughter's volatile temperament; and how brash she can be, while also exhibiting violent tendencies. And unlike my daughter ... who thinks that she knows all there is to know about your daughter ... I actually do. ... Including that little debacle up in the Rainier Pack territory back when she was fourteen..."

He tauntingly goads her...

"Speaking of ... how is Belladonna doing these days, Joslyn? ... Oh, that's right; I'm sorry ... I heard that the two of you had some sort of falling out. Never mind; forget I even brought her up."

Now, Joslyn's intensely glaring at the count with piercingly seething eyes; doing everything in her power to keep on restraining herself from protracting her claws and taking a swipe at him. She growls at him through gritted teeth...

"Better watch yourself, Count Von Barski; because it won't matter even if you are Alyana's father ... if you ever bring up that incident at the Rainier Pack or Belladonna again, in front of me; I'm going to rip your tongue out of your mouth!"
