C10 So It Was a Dream!

The moment Orionna appeared, she immediately slapped Jolene's face and said arrogantly, "You are just a scapegoat for the Oldfield family. What right do you have to stand beside Sawyer? To him, you are just an old woman. As for me, I am his lover. In the future, I will be his lover. What about you? Hmph! Let me tell you not to dawdle in front of him and me. I am kind-hearted, so I will let you stay for another two years. If you are unhappy one day, I will make you disappear completely! Haha..."

"No, no, I am his wife, no..." Jolene's head was in pain as she laughed. Her body was sometimes hot and sometimes cold, and she kept twisting and struggling.

In the end, she could no longer bear it and jumped up. However, she found that she was lying on the bed. Her entire body was drenched in sweat, and some of her long hair was still on her neck. It was sticky and uncomfortable.

Heh, so it was a dream. It scared her to death. She thought that it was a re-enactment of history!

Jolene patted her chest and sighed in relief. She took out her phone to check the time. However, the phone was out of battery. She felt that it was past dinner time.

"It's sticky on my body. I should take a hot bath first!"

After a short while, after she finished showering, Jolene walked out with a thin bathrobe. She felt refreshed and warm. The previous feeling of weakness was gone, and she was full of energy.

It seemed to be the result of her dream.

Therefore, Jolene happily walked towards the kitchen. If she remembered correctly, she seemed to have not eaten anything for the entire day.

Just as Jolene was flipping through the refrigerator, she heard familiar footsteps behind her. She quickly turned around and saw the person who had appeared in her dream mirror.

It was Sawyer. He had returned with a bag in his hand, which seemed to be filled with rice boxes.

Seeing Jolene suddenly turn her head to look at her, her expression froze for a moment. She unnaturally raised the bag in her hand and said, "It seems that you haven't eaten yet! These were packed by me at the dinner party. Please take it."

Hearing that, Jolene was stunned. She secretly thought about it. It was as if the sun had risen from the west. Sawyer actually knew how to do this! After eating, he even packed it for her! And he even brought it back for her!

Could it be that Jolene thought that Sawyer had specially packed it for her?

"You packed it for me? That's great! I can't cook either." Jolene immediately ran over happily. Although it was leftovers from someone else's meal, it made her happy because it was brought back by Sawyer.

"No one touched the dishes today. I felt that it was a waste, so I packed it. But there was nowhere to carry it, so I gave it to you," Sawyer said coldly, as if he was trying to hide the uneasiness in his heart. In fact, he had packed it for her. It was definitely not because he saw that it was a waste and could not bear to waste it.

He was the CEO of the Oldfield Group, a figure that commanded the wind and rain in the entire Birchvale. How could he care about wasting such a small amount of food? He must be joking. Only a stubborn woman like Jolene could believe his nonsense. "Oh," she answered, taking the bag. The dream flashed through her mind again.

That's right, why would he do all these things for her? She wasn't his Orionna who was in his heart. As for her, she could only enjoy the leftovers of others. This was her life, she was the jinx!

Sawyer did not hear what Jolene said and turned around to look at her. He caught a glimpse of the sadness on her face, as if she was unwilling.

Sawyer suddenly grabbed the lunchbox that was not yet opened in his hand and threw it into the trash can in the corner.

"You're unwilling? Then don't eat it."

Jolene was stunned. She still held the rice box in her hand.
