C2 She Wanted to Take Him
Steward Wang was taken aback by the arrival of someone so important that he dared not utter a word.
“Secretary Xu? What brings you here?” Wang wondered, startled. Why would the boss’s right-hand person show up here?
“The boss requests Miss Li’s presence,” Secretary Xu stated, her voice carrying an undeniable authority.
“The boss?” Wang felt a tightness in his chest, wanting to say something but instead gestured compliantly. “Take her to the boss.”
Wang had intended to discipline Mo Li himself and then have her continue making money for Charming Beauty. But with the boss personally intervening, Wang realized the gravity of the situation. Poor Mo Li, he thought. Falling into that man’s hands might mean she’s truly doomed.
Mo Li, temporarily spared, felt no relief. Instead, her fear of the elusive boss of Charming Beauty grew. She had heard the stories—many who had erred were summoned by the boss, never to return, vanishing without a trace.
Gu Feixi, the undisputed ruler of the city, commanded respect from all sides. To him, human life was insignificant, allowing him to act with impunity.
Recalling the rumors, Mo Li trembled uncontrollably. It was said Gu Feixi kept a pride of lions, starving them for days before feeding them live prey. Others spoke of people stripped bare and thrown into containers filled with centipedes, venomous snakes, and scorpions, meeting a gruesome end.
Gu Feixi was a living tyrant of modern times, intimidating all who crossed his path. Now, disaster had struck Mo Li, leaving her feeling utterly hopeless. Even when she was brought before Gu Feixi, Mo Li, in her daze, barely registered her surroundings.
"Mo Li." The powerful voice cut through her haze, drawing her attention.
"Here." Though the bodyguards had already left, closing the door behind them, Mo Li felt an overwhelming pressure in the dim room, almost suffocating.
"Give me a reason." The tone allowed no room for doubt; it was Gu Feixi's usual way of questioning.
Mo Li gritted her teeth, her mind racing. Her next words might be a matter of life and death, and she had to satisfy this devil.
"My foster father is seriously ill, and I need fifty thousand dollars, so I took his job. But I didn't expect him to be such a pervert, making me drink urine and wanting to do things in the room..." Mo Li explained as succinctly as possible.
Before she could finish, a sharp pain shot through her shoulder. Gu Feixi had suddenly grabbed her, his grip like a vice, rendering her immobile. "You seem to be leaving something out," Gu Feixi remarked casually, as if in doubt.
"I didn't... ah..." The pain in her shoulder exceeded Mo Li's tolerance, and she cried out in agony.
Yet the physical pain was instantly forgotten when her secret was uncovered, "You've got a man, and you're trying to stay true to him, right?"
This was Mo Li's deepest secret, easily seen through by Feixi. She remained silent, unable to respond.
A gust of wind hit her face as Feixi mercilessly pushed Mo Li to the ground, the two of them ending up in a compromising position.
Then, Feixi's voice, low and fierce like a lion's growl, whispered in her ear, "There are no ashtrays here to throw at someone's head!"
Hearing this, Mo Li was furious. Did he intend to...
Mo Li didn't care who he was, even if he was the top CEO. If she didn't want to, there was no way he'd have his way with her.
She shielded her chest with one hand and pushed against him with the other, bending her knee and suddenly kicking up, aiming directly at Feixi's lower body without hesitation.
