C19 You will be dead

Maxilin shifted his gaze from the mirror. I've decided what I'll do next. This part must be finished as soon as possible.

Maxilin donned his cuirass before donning his vambrace. He put poleyn, greave, and sabaton in a second. He fastened his waist belt and sheathed his swords one by one. And for the final task, Maxilin grabbed his main sword.

He tightened his hold as he checked his palm. Whatever it takes, I will not give up hope of finding out the truth. Suddenly, my Hawki began to make noises.

'kack' ’kack’.

I gazed at the door for a moment before leaping from the window outside. I don't think using the front door is the best choice right now.

Let me first encounter Nuckelavee before confronting these people. I made my way over to the horse stable.

The opposing viewpoint.

Two horse wagons have arrived and are awaiting Wyiner. Two lads help in packing all of the weapons and necessities. Evan was standing alongside Yean, ordering him to inform him of every aspect. Wyiner arrived at that time. He said, "Evan." He replied, "Yes, uncle." "This fort is under your authority," he replied, placing his hand on his shoulder. Take care of everyone and keep me updated on everything. " "I'll do it, uncle." However, you must also notify me. Send a message if you require any assistance. "I'll send troops," Evan said. "Don't be concerned, Evan. "I'll do it," Wyiner responded.

Evan's Aside.

I'm not willing to leave Uncle alone. I'm not sure why my heart refuses to let him go right now. But if I want to go right now, he won't allow me. I don't understand why those beasts have suddenly become so violent and murderous. They're about to conquer the entire world. It's going to be completely out of our control.

Uncle called my name, "Evan." His comments jolted me awake from my reverie. He said, "I'm leaving, boy." I gave a nod and slid the carriage door wide. My uncle went in, and after a time, they started walking. Yean was already mounted. "Be safe and sound, uncle," I muttered.

Suddenly, a knight appeared with a lantern and said, "Lord Evan, we have an unknown visitor here." I retorted, "unknown visitor?" "Yes, sir, she wants to meet Lord Wyiner," he said.

Uncle? While approaching the fort, I narrowed my eyes and asked, "Who is she?" "My lord, that is an old lady." Her face was hidden under a long coat. "I asked her name, but she refused to tell me," he stated. I said, "Did you say he isn't here?" "No, no, my lord." "I told her to wait there," I said. I headed towards the door with a modest nod.

Who is this strange person? We just can't have any strangers here at this time.

Evan and the knight were approaching the fort.

The opposing viewpoint.

‘neigh’.

My horse came to a halt. I stepped down from the horse after taking a big breath. I looked around; the waves were rougher than it had been that day, and the environment was more hazardous. When I looked up into the sky, I noticed the moon. There was not a single cloud in the sky. I took a deep breath and put my head down as I moved gently towards the shore. However, my mind was only thinking about one thing: Mr. Alex's house. Except for that maid, I found nothing strange about them. I have a strong suspicion that something awful is happening in that house. After that, I'm going to properly handle that maid. But then, out of nowhere, an echo jolted me out of my reverie.

"You HAVE shown up."

I gently opened my eyes and returned the stare. That jerk flashed me a creepy smile. His masticatory muscles flared out dramatically. I grinned and pulled out my sword, stating, "I thought you wouldn't come today."

The sound of the blade's edge was heard as Maxilin drew out the sword. He muttered creepily, "Damn boy, what's that sound?" I disregarded his comments and reached inside a pouch for something. "You simply take something to kill me, boy," he muttered, and I could hear him approaching me. I then lit a fire and began burning some weeds.

And then he just stopped coming to me. I grinned and turned to face him. "I hope you enjoy my gift."

His eyes were filled with rage. The horse began to strike the ground violently. I know that burning seaweed for kelp enraged Nuckelavee and filled him with fiendish anger. "How dare you insult my sea home, human," he shouted angrily. With a smirk, I added, "Of course I came here to insult you and cut your head down." "You moron," he yelled as he sped away on his horse. I quickly swung my sword and dashed at him. As our swords collided, we both dodged. The horse's snout was emitting black smoke.

"Today I will devour your flesh, and then I will demolish this town," he said as he drew his skeleton blade and began to dismember me. I sprang to my feet and defended myself with my sword.

He began slamming into me mercilessly. Fuck! This bonehead. I clenched my grasp on the handle and charged towards him. I purposefully pushed him backwards and struck him with his sword. And in an instant, his blade splintered apart. He grumbled furiously and took a step back. He glared angrily at me.

Thank God, my sword has regained its strength.

"Now I can see the dread in your eyes," I said as I turned the sword.

He growled like a lunatic as he approached me.

to be continued..
