Set of interacting galaxies, Arp 273, also known as

Set of interacting galaxies, Arp 273, also known as "Galaxies of the Rose, was a cute world I must say.

The question they always asked when they saw the galaxy on its slopes, beyond the death of billions, if not trillions, or perhaps all the life known to that civilization.

But what happens when two galaxies collide?

There are several physical processes triggered by the interaction and collision of galaxies.

When the main effects of such interactions are the removal of matter from the galaxies and the radical alteration of their shapes.

Where large galaxies tend to completely absorb each other's life is extinguished, where smaller galaxies separate them and incorporate their stars.

What however, when galaxies are similar in size, like two spiral galaxies, the collision between them will tend, as it happened then, to form a giant elliptical galaxy, with no discernible spiral structure, knowing that even so, the galaxy turns to food from the greater, life is extinguished, and thus arise the priests of Zarathanis.
