C10 The Chase

Xalia sighed as she stared at the ceiling in her room, never had she been ever this bored in her life, she looked out the window and noticed the sun was setting already.

Another day gone. She wondered how long she would keep living like a prisoner, she wasn't allowed to go outside or do anything she wanted.

The door to her room opened and she sat up, Draven walked in dressed in casual wear and she stared at him.

“Good evening.” She said to him since he wasn't saying anything, all he did was stare at her. He nodded to her greetings and sat on the bed.

“Go get dressed.” He ordered and she wanted to ask him ‘why’ but she knew it was best if she kept quiet.

“Okay.” She muttered and got off the bed. She was about to walk into the closet but he stopped her.

“Hold on.” He said and she turned to him.

“Pick up the dress you want to wear and come wear them here.” He ordered and she gulped, she blinked rapidly as she thought of what to say. He wanted her to strip in front of him, but she was not comfortable with that.

“I… “

“Don't come up with an excuse cause I won't listen.”

“I am on my period.” She lied and he paused for a moment.

“Fine, then I will note this date down and help you calculate your ovulation and your next period.”

“No.” She hurriedly said with her heart racing.

“You just lied to me.” He said and she shook her head in fear.

“I hate lies Xalia.”

“I’m sorry, I am not just comfortable taking my clothes off and getting dressed in front of you.” She replied with tears clouding her eyes.

“Go get dressed in the closet.” He said and she rushed into it, Xalia breathed out and wiped her tears, She got dressed in a jean and a crop top, she picked up one of her jackets and put it on, matching her outfit with black sneakers, she walked out of the closet and Draven looked up at her.

“I’m ready.” She said nervously and he stood up and then walked out of the room, She trailed behind him and they both walked out of the house.

They entered the car and she used her seatbelt, he ignited the car and turned to her.

“Where do you want to go?” He asked and her eyes widened slightly.

“Hmm… I don't know anywhere in Hawaii.” She replied.

“What is the first thing on your list with Harrison?” He asked and she thought about it, She remembered what it was and her heart skipped a beat. She is definitely not doing that first thing with him.

“We planned to have our honeymoon in Paris so we made the list according to what is in Paris.” She answered.

“Make it relate to Hawaii.” He said and she bit her lip, she tucked her hair behind her ear and thought about it.

“We could go see a movie and... “

“No.” He cut her off and she sighed.

“How about we just have dinner in… “

“No.” He cut her off again and she breathed out.

“Well, I don't know what else to do.” She muttered and he didn't say anything, he drove out of the house and into the streets.

“Where are we going?” She asked but didn't get a response.

Draven suddenly drove past the speed limit and Xalia’s eyes widened in shock.

“What are you doing?” She asked in fear as they passed two cops' cars and they started to chase them.

“The cops are after us, pull over.” She screamed as he drove roughly and Draven ignored her.

The cops' cars doubled to four and Xalia felt her heart would burst out of her chest at any second. She screamed in fear but Draven didn't pay attention to her, all he paid attention to was the road.

“Oh my God, Draven please slow down.” She said in tears and he glanced at her.

“Since you couldn't decide on what we should do this night and I decided, let the cops chase us.” He replied and she kept glancing behind them, the cops were still after them and all of a sudden, Draven hit the brakes in the middle of the road and Xalia’s head hit the dashboard, she winced in pain and the cops rushed out of the car, they rushed to their car and Xalia panicked.

“What are you doing? We are going to get caught and you are causing a huge traffic jam.” She yelled and in a flash, the cops got to the car. Draven rolled down the glass and the cops looked shocked.

“Oh, Mr. Wade.” He said and the cops bowed.

“Why are you guys after me?”

“We are sorry sir, we had no idea it was you.” He replied and Xalia’s eyes widened in shock.

Did they just apologise?

Draven ignored them and ignited the car again, he drove away and Xalia was shocked about what happened.

She didn't say a word and she noticed they were heading back home, she felt so annoyed and furious, he made her get dressed for this!

They got back to the house and she took off her seat belt, she hurriedly got out of the car and entered the house.

“Xalia.” She heard him call her name as she was about to climb the stairs and she turned to him angrily.

“Don't you fucking dare call my name you psychopath!” She screamed at him and walked back to him.

“You see fucking disturbed mentally, you made me her dressed just to be chased around the city by the whole cops and later prove how powerful you are! You are fucking arrogant and full of pride!” She yelled angrily. As she yelled, she kept feeling a sharp pain in her head and she noticed his eyes were on her forehead.

She didn't realise she was yelling that loud, all she knew was that she was really mad at him for making her go through that.

She felt a liquid drop to her cheek and she touched it. She looked at it and screamed in fear seeing it was blood.

She felt the pain again as she screamed and tears welled up in her eyes.

“Your forehead is bleeding.” Draven said calmly.

She started to cry and he kept watching her.

“The first aid kit is in the kitchen, help yourself.” He said and walked up the stairs.

‘What the fuck?!’
