C1 TRAPPED

Frozen under the roaring sky, she stood still, comprehending what just happened. Battling her lashes at him for a hundredth time, she thought it was surreal, her mind was playing tricks. He cleared his throat, arching his brow at her, signaling her to get in, making an unexplainable fear take over her mind. His dark eyes were shining with malice. Glancing at the narrow path towards her right, she did a quick debate.

Taking a deep breath, gulping a huge lump in her throat she geared up and ran.

Panic spiked in her veins as she heard multiple doors of car open.

She started running like her life depends on it, hitting the trees and scratching her face all the time.

Sasha kicked off her killer heels and turned down an alley but dig her feet into the sharp rocks of gravel. The edges of the stone sliced her feet, as her breath stuck in her throat. White blobs invaded her vision making her dizzy. She tried her best to pull herself to consciousness.

She snuck a glance behind her and saw four shadowed men following her footsteps. They were running. Fast.

She cornered herself and hid behind a trash can. The smell of feline and vomit hit her nostrils making her feel nauseous instantly. This place was a wreck, literally reeking with several nasty smells. Dumpsters spilling with waste and fire escapes were all around her. Covering her nose and mouth with her hand in an attempt to stop this smell of rotting thrash invade her system, she stood there still.

‘Hell Sasha! What have you gotten yourself into’ she thought to herself before her mind took her back to the time, where it all started.

*Few hours ago.*

Clad in a short emerald dress that wouldn’t fit an 8-year old, high stilettos and a gold sling, hung on her shoulders, she walked into the pulsing black-light club.

The dance floor was glowing with blue and green laser beams shooting out from the rotating lights in the ceiling. As it was a Saturday night, the club was packed with people dancing and jumping to the DJ’s throbbing music. Resembling the penguins hurdled in the cold, only they were on crack.

“You guys sucks.” Sasha muttered annoyed at her friends.

It was her 18th birthday and to burst the balloon of isolation, Sasha had been covered herself in, her friend’s forced her in this club to celebrate.

“Come on little kitten, let’s party.” Shelly, her best friend squealed, playfully elbowing her in the rib.

Thick blank-winged make up caked her face as her lips were painted a bright color of red. Her caramel colored hair were freshly trimmed into a shoulder length bob cut. Same like her friends Sasha also wore a gold ring tiara enhancing her look.

“Happy Birthday Sasha.” Squealed her friends in her ear, over the rave music as they walked towards the dance floor forcing her to press his palms over her ears.

They pull her in the middle whilst circling around her and dancing like snakes. Damn, they are hilarious. All she could do was laugh her heart out until her stomach hurts. Holding Sasha’s hand in her grip, Shelly mocked a small couple dance with her, honestly it was more like a funny act.

She let all her sorrows fade in this world of fun, joy and enjoyment. Pushing back her past, Sasha was ready to play but how much did she knew her past was on its way, to collide with her and push her back in the bubble she was struggling to get out of.

After a while of dancing and jumping Kara said, “Whoa! I am tired now. Lets grab a drink."

Agreeing with her they left the dance floor.

The stench of alcohol and smoke flooded her lungs as they rounded towards the bar. Sasha insisted on having a light beer for herself. Being a petite and weak girl now, she had become too sensitive to liquor.

In just a while all her friends were emerged with guys except Shelly who was waiting for someone special to arrive.

The loud music and clingy atmosphere was starting to get on Sasha’s head now.

“Shelly, Why don’t you go enjoy, I think I would like to go back home.” She said trying to be as sincere as possible.

“And how are you going to return? It's already 12 am that means no public transport. And the car we brought had been taken away by Stacy. So the only option left for us is to take help from my charming boyfriend..” She winked at her, "And by the way I have a surprise for you tonight just hold on." Shelly's eyes rummaged through the club finding someone and when finally she found him she yelled. “Roy? Here!” Waving her hand to a guy that just entered in she jumped on her seat.

The guy named Roy came towards them, giving a bone-wrecking hug to his girlfriend Shelly. But he wasn’t alone, with him stood a fair, young boy, whose brown eyes ran all over Sasha's body making her feel like covering herself in jackets, even her face.

"Shelly, this is my friend Jane. Jane this is Shelly my girlfriend and that is I guess Sasha?" Roy asked pointing towards Sasha.

"Yes. Sasha this is Roy, my boyfriend and that is Jane. Your blind date for today." Shelly said winking at her best friend. But hearing those words, Sasha choked on her drink.

Stroking her back, Shelly asked with worry lacing in her voice, "Are you alright?"

Giving her a nod, Sasha wiped her face with a tissue before, posturing herself.

"Okay now, Jane, she is all yours." Laughed Shelly before pushing her friend forward, earning a furious stare from Sasha. But she waved it off immediately heading towards the dance floor with her date clinging to her arm.

It wasn't that Sasha felt colors and sparks with this guy but yes staying alone with a complete stranger did filled the room with awkwardness.

Just like a gentlemen, Jane pulled a chair for Sasha before settling himself right next to her. Honestly his presence brought an unexplainable amount of discomfort to her. She was definitely going to kill Shelly for this.

"So what can I order princess." Jane asked as his voice was laced with fake sweetness as he leaned forward touching Sasha's knee with his, making her flinch.

"T..Thanks but I don't actually need anything, and I still have my drink left. I guess it's enough for the night." Sasha stuttered waving her glass at him.

"OH Sweetheart! It have just a few sips left and trust me it isn't enough at all for today's night. Today's night is going to be a big one.....It won't end up soon." He smirked, winking at her. The malice in her eyes was enough to alarm Sasha. She was determined enough to avoid any drinks from him. He seemed like a chocolate boy, a playboy to Sasha who is here just to accomplish his evil desires and she is not at all in a mood to entertain him.

"Simon." he yelled at the bar tender who showed up in no time.

"Hey Jane."He replied, on noticing the beauty beside her friend, Simon asked, "ooh la la la! Who is this beautiful girl?"

Smirking at Simon he replied, "My blind date. But I think she is not having a lot of fun, can you make a special drink for her."

"I really don't need it."

The bar tender ignored her and said, "Of course! anything for Jane's stunning date." He said as he turned around the corner.

In no time, Simon set down a bluish drink.

She could smell something fishy and she reminded herself mentally that no matter whatever happens she won't drink this thing.

Jane handed her the glass and after thinking for a while she took it, placing it again on the table as she said, "I don't feel like having it now, maybe a while later."

Though Jane didn't liked her idea of ignoring the drink right now, he let it go with a nod. He knew now or later he will get her drink it.

"Why don't you tell me something about yourself?" Jane said to break the ice and get her flowing a little.

"What about me? I am just a simple girl, who works in a restaurant." Though she had more to herself, but she covered it all as she had zero interest in interacting with him. "Why don't you tell anything about yourself. "

He started talking, actually showing off his life, looks, powers to her, whilst she sat there raving her gaze all over, searching for a way to escape him.

Just then her eyes landed on a tall figure with chocolate-brown hair, dancing at the corner. Her heart sparked. She scrutinized to the girl near him. She was in a blue, fish-cut Prada dress, hair long Rupanzel hair were tied in a fish-tail braid and she wore a minimal, natural tone of makeup, unlike Sasha who was iced with layers of concealor, just to hide her dark spots. She looked like a gorgeous mermaid with simplest beauty. She realized the girl for whom he left her did worth it. A spear struck her heart, making her numb. She couldn't see the club, nor Jane all she could see was Alex. She couldn't believe he was standing now before her. Her heart was thumping wildly in her chest almost imitating a bird in its cage.

As the girl held Alex's hand encircling it on her waist and stepping closer to Alex, circling her arms around his neck, Sasha felt a feeling of betrayal gushing in her veins. Tears were ready to fall but she controlled, suppressing her cries and suffocating herself to silence.

Noticing her date zoned out, Jane took the chance to trap her. He handed the drink to Sasha, who first avoided it but when he saw Alex pulling the girl closer to him, she lost her mind. She snatched the drink from Jane's hand, and downed the burning liquid. She coughed as it stung her throat and tears sprung into her eyes. She felt the burning liquid making its way down her throat and her head began to feel light almost instantly. But she couldn't remove Alex from her mind.

The way he secured the girl, protected her from the hands of other men, dug a wave of memories for her.

Few months ago, she was the lucky one to have him all by herself, to be secured, protected and preserved by him.

She still remember the time when Alex punched the guy to blood, just for her. They were travelling in a metro, unlike usual that day Sasha was dressed in a pink sundress, that flaunted her creamy white skin beautifully. The guy had his gaze on her since they entered the train. Alex was too keen to hide Sasha from his lustful gaze as much as he can. And when that filthy man halted just behind Sasha's back to touch her inappropriately, Alex quickly turned them, in a way that Sasha was pressed to his chest, breathing in his warm fragrance whilst Alex was on her place facing his back towards the guy. That was the first time when she felt a spark in her heart, when she realized her growing interest in Alex. But that wasn't enough, when they were stepping out of the metro, even after his multiple attempts the guy couldn't even lay his tiny finger on Sasha because of Alex, but he did muttered a bunch of incoherent words to Sasha. What would have happened next? Alex lost his control and punched the guy until he was black and blue. Not only in the metro that day but Alex had always been over-protected for Sasha. He would lovingly convince her not to wear short dresses in public or else he would run on the streets punching each evil eye that raised an eye on her.

OH! Those memories were like knives to her heart and she wanted nothing more but to forget them.
