C2 WELCOMING THE DANGER

Jane pulled her towards the dance floor and she acquiesced his steps. He turned her, hugging her from behind and all she wished was to push him and kick him in the balls but then her eyes locked with a pair of green ones. Both of them stared at each other delusionally. Seconds felt like minutes, minutes felt like hours as they were hypnotized by each other's eyes. Her friends think she had moved on but a glimpse at him was enough to witness the love she hides in her heart. The mask of happiness that she wears each day. Only her pillow and the night knows what she is going through. She saw a familiar emotion displayed in his eyes but it flew away as fast as it came. As he noticed Jane kissing the nape of Sasha's neck, Alex's expression became sour as she stared at him now. There was a hint of anger and blame in his stare. He almost couldn't bear. Sasha felt herself melting in his gaze, and a lone tear fell down her cheek. Do he feel the same thing she feels for him? Does he also finds it shattering to see her with someone else? Questions, hopes and expectations rose again in Sasha's exquisite heart. But deep down in her mind she was wrong. Her senses mocked at her to stop hoping because the truth for them was he is not at all interested in her. She means nothing to him.

Whereas Alex felt miserable seeing her like this. Her dressing made him sick and that light haired guy with her made him nauseous. Indeed she stooped to the lowest level in his eyes today.

Jane didn't miss a chance to take an advantage. His hand exploring her body as she stood paralyzed. Nor did she respond, nor did she protested. Jane turned her to face him and stepped closer invading her privacy. He held her neck, bringing her face closer to his while his other hand held her waist, holding her in position. He almost landed his lips on her but Sasha was quick enough to turn her face. She made a weak attempt to get out his hold, but he stiffened it instead.

Meanwhile, Alex's eyes turned darker as he felt a strong urge to punch that bastard's face. His nails dug deeper on her girl's waist as he controlled herself from bashing the guy. The black eyed girl winced. Noticing the loss of attention, she stepped on her toe and kissed her man only to be pushed away.

Jane tried his best to pull Sasha with him, away from the crowd but no matter how much high she was, Sasha couldn't let anyone raise a finger on her dignity. Kicking her knee on his most sensitive point, Sasha brought that rascal to the ground crying in pain.

All eyes were on her and with tears flowing off her eyes she turned her heels and ran out of the club as fast as she could. She wanted nothing more than running away from this place, from that rascal Jane, from her friends who brought her in and lastly from her heartless heartbreaker Alex. She heard her friend's calling out for her but she was far gone now. Shelly and Roy ran towards the exit of the club to find her but she literally vanished in the isolated night .

After running miles away from the club Sasha fell on her knees, losing herself. Why did he have to show up when she finally decided to step out of the fantasy he build for her? Why can't he just leave her alone? She felt like fate was playing games with her.

After a couple of minutes, she finally got up but stumbled instantly, she was floating with air. She looked around to sink in the place she was at. It was pitch black all around, except the dim light produced by the street lamps. She immediately pulled out her phone from the sling that have been hanging across her shoulder. Thank God she didn't remove it or else the only hope of calling a cab would have been thrashed. Sasha thought but her heart dropped instantly when she noticed that there was no signal here. Go to hell Verizon Wireless. She muttered.

She knew one thing, no matter whatever is going to happen she won't return to the club. She grabbed a tissue and cleaned off his face, inhaling a sharp breath, she decided to walk ahead, hoping she would come across a public landline of some sort, but it's just her luck that all business are closed at 12 am.

A few blocks later, beaming headlights shone at her and she turned to see a sleek black car pull up to her. The windows were tinted and she could see her reflection in it. Her dress felt highly inappropriate to her now. It flaunted her hour-glass body that can lure a lot of men. She took a step back at the close proximity of the car, and frowned as the passenger window slid down.

A man with dark hair and black sunglasses appeared, his face was stern and expressionless as he stared at her from behind the shades. He removed his shades as his eyes scrutinized all over her body, his gaze was dark filled with terror. She immediately wished the ground to split and swallow her in.

Taking an another step back confused, she stared at him with wide eyes as he said the two words that hit her hard,

"How much?"

She frowned at the shadowed man, in his expensive car.

"Excuse me? I don't understand." realization dawned on her, as she looked down at her skimpy club attire her friend's forced her in.

She raised her hands and stuttered, "I..I am..I am not what you are thinking."

He cocked an eye brow and she knew he is a danger to her, he indeed was the beast her mom warned her about whenever she insisted to go out alone at night.

After a brief second when he had his eyebrows still raised in a question mark, she closed her eyes and whispered, "I.. I.. I am..I am not a prostitute!"

He scanned her from top to the toe and said, "Get in the car." his voice was heavy and intimidating. He was indeed an opinionated person. Arguing with him won't take her anywhere. A cool breeze hit her face, causing strands of hair splatter on her face. It started drizzling.

He stared at her waiting for her to acquiesce, how much did he knew she had other plans! He smirked at her as she gently, rolled her hair behind her ear. He could feel the heat at his nape as drops of rain drizzled down her forehead, on her eyes, flowing from her long eye lashes, down her nose and kissing her rosy lips.

The sky started roaring with thunder, resembling her heart that was roaring for help. For a split second she called out Alex, as he had always been her savior but will he come for her today?

Frozen under the roaring sky, she stood still, comprehending what just happened. Battling her eyes at him, numerous times, she thought it was surreal, her mind was playing tricks. He cleared his throat, arching his brow at him, signaling her to get in, making an unexplainable fear take over her mind. His dark eyes were shining with malice. Glancing at the narrow path towards her right, she did a quick debate.

Taking a deep breath, gulping a huge lump in her throat she geared up and ran.

*Present.*

"She must be hidden somewhere here only. Look carefully." the male voice pulled her out from the oceans of regret. She inhaled a deep breath, freezing at the spot like a statue. She closed her eyes and prayed for them to just go away.

"This place is disgusting. I don't think she will hide here. She may have ran there?" A man said pointing towards the road.

Peeking just a little she saw them going far from her but then a well built men halted in his steps. From the flashlight of his phone that he had in his grip, she noticed a weird snake-tattoo covering his left arm. he looked behind, flashing his light at the trashcan. Though she was quick enough to hide, he had doubts.

Sasha heard footsteps coming closer and she clutched her heart that was thumping wildly that felt it may burst out of her chest anytime now. He halted on the other side of the tall thrash can she hid herself behind. The shit spread all around halted him in his steps.

She shivered when a gunshot echoed through the desolated alley. Sasha muffled her screams and clutched her chest until her knuckles were white. But when she thought she

was caught, she heard footsteps returning. She left the breath she was holding for a longtime now.

She felt something tickling her feet. She looked at the source that was disturbing her. An ugly black rat was sniffing on her feet. She flinched and started thrashing around. Shouting at the top of her lungs, she immediately came out from the shit she was hiding herself in, without realizing the eyes and flashlights that beamed on her. Stumbling on a trash can, she finally made her way out and tried running the opposite side.

"malen'kaya suka, poluchit'yeye.Teper." she heard one of the man shout. Russian, they were speaking Russian. Shit!

She did an attempt to escape from their sight, but was it that easy? The drug was doing its work on her. Sasha felt weak. Her knees were shaking and she lost the balance. She wouldn't hit the ground if not for his strong arms around her, keeping her steady. Sasha felt she was hallucinating, or did Alex really came to rescue her? He wrapped his fingers around her hand and squeezed them lightly as a sign of reassurance.
