Raina's POV

As usual on weekends, I'm up late. I laid down for a while staring at the ceiling.

I turned to look at Cookies who was coiled beside me on my bed waiting for me to wake.

I unplugged my phone and saw tons of messages buzzing on the screen.

Obviously from my friends back in LA.

Cookies suddenly noticed I was awake, she got up amd came to where I was standing jumping on me and licking my face I couldn't help smiling.

"Morning Cookies" I cooed smoothing her curly hairs. I let her down and started replying my messages.

I flashed back to my last day of school in LA before coming here, I already announced to my friends and favorite teachers that I would be leaving.

It was an emotional moment for me as a soft hearted person, I had tears flowing down my cheeks as I hugged my friends, my teachers spent a lot of time with me, my best friend Emily couldn't stop crying as we hugged countless times.

The principal even called me into his office and gave me the most fatherly advice ever, I was so touched I hugged him. You can say I'm quite popular

School finally closed for the day as I received gifts from most of my friends and seniors.

The best part was what happened on my way down the hallway.

I walked down to my locker to remove everything I had left.

One by one I dipped them into my bag.

"HELLO RAINA" ! came a voice as I reacted in fright.

I quickly looked back and realized it was Mark.

Mark laughs "I'm sorry to startle you"

Mark is one of the regular guys who has a crush on me since 5th grade and up till date, there was a time he asked me out but I refused because I was currently dating a popular guy from the school's football team.

I felt really bad but am not a type to double date, later I found out he was cheating on me then I broke up with him. What a jerk!

"Hey Mark" I said in excitement "Been a while where have you been?" I asked and slammed my locker shut.

"I've been around, you just didn't notice me" he responded sadly

I laughed "Come on don't say that" as I gave him a punch on the shoulder

"Oh lest I forget, I have something for you" he said searching through his bag.

He brought out a large frame. It's a painting of me smiling.

"Oh...my... God" I said slowly as I collected it "You drew this? For me?"

"Yeah, I imagined your beautiful smile and I drew this for you to keep it in remembrance of me" he stated.

"This is so beautiful" as I pulled him into a hug "Thank you" I said feeling touched.

"So I heard you're leaving today" he said with a sad look on his face

"Yeah.. and I must confess I'm going to miss you"

"I'll miss you too" he replied seriously as he stared deep into my blue hazel eyes.

"I have to get going now" as I walked few feets away from him.

I suddenly felt bad, I stopped and looked back to where he still stood by my locker staring at me.

I sighed if I don't do this I will never forgive myself I thought

In haste I walked back towards where he stood

He opened his mouth to speak but I stopped him as I placed my lips on his.

He froze in shock for a moment before he slowly relaxed as he returned my kiss.

We kissed for about thirty seconds before I withdrew from him.

"Wow" he breathed out

"I know I won't be seeing you again so this is my goodbye to you". I said catching my breath

"My goodness you're such a good kisser" he teased

I rolled my eyes as I walked away...

"Hey hold on" he jogged after me "can I drop you off?"

"Uhm am not sure" I replied "my mum's already waiting for me"

Together we walked out of the school where I saw my mum's car at the driveway.

Cookie's barking suddenly snapped me out of my thought.

I turned to where she was waiting for me to open the door.

I opened the door for her to walk out before walking into the bathroom, I looked at my reflection through the mirror.

For once I agreed I'm beautiful, I viewed my long black hair that fell on my shoulders, my blue hazel eyes, white teeth. Okay this is getting weird.

I quickly brushed my teeth, grabbed my phone and headphones before walking out of my room.

I arrived at the sitting room and saw my mum and sister already having breakfast.

"Mum seriously? You guys couldn't call me for breakfast?" I said displeased as I grabbed a chair to sit

"By the way we're going to the cinema tonight" she replied totally ignoring what I said. I rolled my eyes and began eating

Riley gasped and said "Really mum?"

"It'll be like a family outing, or what do you think Raina?" she asked looking up at me

Visibly annoyed I said "Mum can you guys go without me? I don't really feel like going"

"No young lady you are going even if I have to carry you on my back" she said firmly

"Big baby" Riley said laughing

I grunted under my breath and continued eating.

6:30pm

Richard's POV

Chris, Nydia and I agreed to go see a movie tonight so I decided to drive with my car.

We drove down to Nydia's house as we sighted her walking out of her house on baggy crazy jean and black T-shirt.

Nydia as the only child of her parents has the freedom to do whatever she likes or go wherever she wants too, she lives in a house filled with maids, butlers, gardeners and drivers. You name it.

And one spek about her is that even as a tomboy, she's a great dancer with different award and prices at school.

"Hey guys" she said getting into the car and slamming the door to the backseat shut.

"We've been waiting here for the past two months" Chris joked

Nydia and I rolled our eyes at his regular joke

It was a long drive to the cinema as Chris and Nydia kept talking all through while I drove quietly, well I'm not much of a talker.

We finally arrived, got down and walked down the busy mall filled with teens of our age taking pictures, families together with their pets beside them. I wonder if there's no policy against pets.

I realized most of the stores we came across has this one jam playing which boost the morale of everyone. INTENTIONS BY JUSTIN BEIBER...

"Damn am loving this jam" Chris yelled

I turned to look at Nydia who's already making some dance move as we walked. She danced and sang along with the song.

I couldn't help smiling as I joined in singing.

Some passerbys turned to look at us with smiles on their faces. Some even started taking pictures and videos of us while we sing and Nydia danced like there's no tomorrow.

OPORR! Some guys shouted from the crowd.

Raina's POV

I must confess the cinema at night is actually fun and lively, from the window I could see the word SHOPRITE boldly written as my mum found a place to park her car.

We walked into the mall and saw a large crowd of people gathered at a spot as I could hear Justin beiber's track Intentions playing.

We drew closer as I saw three teens my age singing and dancing to the song. Fascinating to say the least.

I was suddenly tempted to stop and watch..

I looked at the people beside me who was taking videos of them.

I found myself humming without realizing my mum and sister was way ahead of me.

"Aren't they cute?" A girl said behind me

"Maybe" I replied without looking at her direction

My mum suddenly realized am not with them. In panic she turned back and saw me standing like I was hypnotized.

"Raina?" She yelled

I turned to look at her with a smile and waved in her direction.

"Will you come over here this instant" she scolded

I rolled my eyes as I jogged towards her. It's just a Cinema. I probably won't get lost.

We took the elevator, arrived at the cinema reception and joined the queue.

"So mum what kind of movie are we watching?" I asked

"I was thinking we should see a horror movie" she said

Riley and I turned to look at her in shock, Riley added "What?"

Mum laughs and quickly said she was just kidding.

"So what kind of movie are we gonna watch then?

"Hold on lemme check, you guys wait here" she instructed and walked down to the reception

Richard's POV

After getting attention and becoming popular for some minute, Nydia and I had to drag Chris who doesn't wanna leave.

Together we ran all the way to the cinema.

We arrived at the reception and saw a queue where people assembled to pay for their tickets.

There's a girl standing by the side with her little sister, her attention was focused on her phone.

Wow, she's got the perfect stature I thought

Chris looked over "Uhh excuse me, hey" he yelled towards the girl

Her little sister touched her and pointed at Chris, looking up from her phone she turned her eyes to him.

"Are you talking to me?" She asked

"No, it's the ghost beside you dummy, of course I'm talking to you" he replied

Nydia suddenly burst into laughter

The girl frowned obviously annoyed at Chris.

"What type of movies are available to watch?" Chris continued to ask

"Do I look like the manager?" she yelled back

He opened his mouth to bless her with an insult but he stopped when a woman came to talk to her who I guess must be her mum.

Chris turned back to look at us

"I can't imagine how somebody will be so fine but the sense is low, see her neck like our president" he hissed

We all burst out laughing.
