C5 The Dare

Richard's POV

"Okay folks I'm going to talk to her" Chris announced as he got up to dust his shirt.

"What?" I said with a mouthful of chips.

"You wouldn't even think about it" Nydia said

There was silence for a minute or two.

"Chris is insane" She concluded.

I opened my mouth yet no words emerged.

Raina's POV

"Hello Raina" a voice unexpectedly yanked me up.

I raised up my head to see the same guy who insulted me at the Cinema reception.

"You" I said in an surprised tone.

"The world really isn't such a big place is it?" he said with a smirk.

Stretching out his hand for a handshake he added "I'm Chris"

"Raina" I answered accepting his handshake.

"So what are the odds of being in the same class" He sat down facing me.

"That's a fortuitous event" I replied.

"I believe you have already met my friends" He turned and pointed to a guy and girl sitting across from us.

"Yeah I've" I looked over at them.

They waved at me and I waved back in return.

"Yup, they are my bff, it's a pity I'm the savviest and most intelligent" He bragged.

Oh he's a cocky one, too bad he's not doing a good job at it.

"Awwn that's decent" I said

"So tell me about you" He laid his elbow on the table like I was going to recount to him a story

Jordy's POV

Benny and I was playing truth or dare game with two other guys at our favorite VIP spot in the cafeteria.

Tensed we watched the bottle spin, every second feels like hours.

I closed my eyes to say a quick prayer when I heard a snort beside me.

I opened my eyes to see the bottle was facing me and the guy opposite me smirking.

"Alright Jordy truth or dare?" Daniel asked rubbing his palms together

I breathed out profoundly

"Dare" I said with certainty

"Great" he said in his Italian accent

"Now you see that young lady" he continued pointing to a table not too far from us where a guy is talking to a beautiful goddess, for a moment I was blown away by her beauty.

"Looks like the prince is in love" Benny chirped in snapping me back to reality.

"She's lovely isn't she? I heard she's a new student" Daniel went on.

I continued gazing at her without answering as she snickered at the person conversing with her.

"Now listen to me Jordy" he said seriously.

I turned to look at him.

Looking me dead in the eye he said "I challenge you to make her your girlfriend"

"Oh I see what you did there" Femi the other guy said slapping him on the back.

"Just give me two weeks... two weeks....and she's mine" I said with confidence.

"Sharp guy" Benny hailed and they laughed.

Richard's POV

The bell rang signifying the end of today's classes.

The teacher immediately left the class feeling happy he was finished for the day.

"Hey Richard, I have to go" Chris said grabbing his bag.

"Uhh to where?" I asked confused.

"To take Raina back home in my car" he replied with a wink.

I laughed "What? And yet, you're not her driver"

"Do you know she lives in the same estate as us?" He said feeling proud.

"Really?" I was surprised he's hitting so fast.

"Yep I'll see you when I return home" Chris said and ran off.

"Wait a minute" I called out but he's long gone.

This is frustrating, Chris' already getting close to a girl I like which isn't fair.

Chris is handsome but I'm more handsome, he is just this stupid guy who pass his test by luck. Lucky bastard.

The buzz from my pocket snapped me from my thoughts.

I pulled out of my phone and saw Nydia video call.

I accepted the call and saw her strolling down the school's hall.

"Where are you?" She asked.

"I'm on my way, Chris already left"

"I know" she said dryly.

"I just saw the moron walking with the new girl"

I rolled my eyes, I need to make my move.

"Really?" I questioned.

"And do you know what's funny" she continued.

"No"

"When he saw me he just waved" she said confused.

I chuckled.

"You don't mean that"

"I swear I'll kill him when next I see him" She vowed.

"Anyways I'm on my way" I hung up and walked out of the now empty class.

Chris' POV

Raina laughs and I could see her little dimples on both checks.

"You're joking right" she giggled.

"I'm serious, I swear with my left yansh" I quickly said.

"Huh...what's that?" she asked.

"Oh that actually meant my left ass" I laughed.

"Eww... that's gross" her face twisted in disgust "and that's my home" she pointed to a tall and beautiful white building.

"Wait, you live here?" I screeched to a stop.

"Wow I do drive pass here almost everyday" I turned to look at her with a serious face " Raina I think you're God's sent"

She smiled.

"Well I've got to go now" I said.

She leaned in close to me and placed a peck on my cheek before stepping out of my car.

As she walked towards her gate, she turned back and gave a final wave before walking into her house.

I touched my cheek still in shock.

"Wait, did she just kiss my cheek? She kissed my cheek? God I'm never going to clean my face again" I started the car and zoomed off in excitement.

Jordy's POV

I rode my motorbike to my family's mansion. They reside in banana Island Lagos.

The security pressed a button and the broad white gate slowly opened.

The mansion had swimming pools, a Football Field, Basketball court, a tennis court and not to forget my mum's beautiful garden.

I could see my sister Joanna who was two years older than me, swimming with a guy in the pool who supposedly was her boyfriend.

She's in Harvard studying law.

I also have a little sister who just had her tenth birthday last week, Janice. The little adorable rascal.

We are popularly called "The Triple J's"

I stopped my motorbike some place next to the pool as I heard a voice close to me.

"Hello baby brother" Joanna said walking towards me in her bikinis.

"Hey sis, how's it going?" I replied cheerfully

"Nothing much, how was your trip? She pulled me into an embrace

"It was terrible to say the least, especially with those body guards dad hired to keep an eye on me" I complained.

"Is that why you locked them in the bathroom?" She asked.

"Yh I did that" I admitted.

She laughed.

"For what reason did you do that?" She inquired.

"They really deserved it, I mean you need to really see those guys, they won't give me any breathing space" I was already getting annoyed.

"It's ok I can talk to dad for you if you like" Joann comforted me. It pays to have a big sister I guess.

A shirtless brown in complexion guy, with wonderful abs and a bright red coloured hair came out of the pool and strolled towards us.

"Hello inlaw" He said extending his hand for a handshake.

I raised one of my eyebrow as I checked him out.

I shook his hand and nodded in reply.

Quickly I walked into the house. Ziggler came running towards me.

Ziggler is the family rotwiller who has been with us for two years now.

"Hey boy" I said patting his head "let's race"

"1...2...3..go" I ran upstairs with Ziggler right behind me.
