My excitement was too much to be contained. As mentioned to Alessandro, I had never left the state, not to mention the country and continent.

I'd been ecstatic when Alessandro said we were going out. I wanted to explore Milan, but I couldn't go by myself. I'd been told that the streets were dangerous and I also knew it was unwise to wander by myself and possibly get lost
