C12 Talent! Beast Tamer

"If you have something to say, just say it. If not, please leave." Soong Xueling rolled her eyes, barely tolerating this pretentious man.

Chu Yuan pouted, feeling a bit wronged, but secretly thought her eye-rolling was kind of cute. "Azure Bamboo College not only admits warriors but also apprentices for beast taming."

"Beast taming? What's that?" Soong Xueling frowned slightly, hoping it wasn't the same as the beast taming she remembered.

Chu Yuan glanced at the teacup on the table, then at Soong Xueling, lifting his chin slightly. "I'm thirsty. If you pour me a glass of water, I'll answer your question."

Soong Xueling glanced at Chu Yuan's proud demeanor, calmly poured a glass of water, and then brought it to her own lips. Chu Yuan was exasperated and snapped, "After all I've done for you, this is how you treat me?"

"Didn't you say you couldn't stand the tea here?" Soong Xueling raised an eyebrow.

Chu Yuan turned his face away haughtily. "I've changed my mind. Do you have a problem with that?"

"Not at all," Soong Xueling chuckled, pouring another cup and handing it to Chu Yuan. "Please, enjoy your tea."

"Hmph, that's more like it," Chu Yuan finally seemed satisfied. After taking a sip, he continued, "It's no wonder you haven't heard of beast tamers. There are fewer than a hundred on the entire Twilight Cloud Continent, and only a dozen or so are considered masters."

Soong Xueling sat quietly, holding her teacup, listening intently.

“A beast tamer is someone who can tame animals. But not all animals are the same. Most are just ordinary wild beasts, lacking intelligence and driven only by instinct. Only a rare few possess intelligence and can form a bond with a warrior to fight together. We call these spirit beasts,” Chu Yuan explained, his gaze fixed on Soong Xueling’s face. The more he looked at her, the more captivating she seemed. “Similarly, most beast tamers can only handle ordinary wild beasts. Only a select few masters can tame spirit beasts, forming a bond with warriors to train and fight together.”

So that’s how it is, Soong Xueling nodded in understanding, then asked, “What does this have to do with me?”

She hadn’t even known what a beast tamer was before, let alone tamed any wild beasts.

“If you can control living people, managing mindless beasts should be a piece of cake, right?” Chu Yuan replied.

Soong Xueling saw that Chu Yuan didn't seem to be lying, so she didn't press the issue further. "But people and beasts are different. I've never really faced a wild animal before. Maybe I can't tame one at all."

"That's easy. There's still five days until Azure Bamboo College starts its admissions. I can arrange a chance for you to try taming a beast. Then we'll see if you have the ability," Chu Yuan replied naturally.

Xueling looked directly at Chu Yuan's calm face and suddenly wanted to use her psychic force to see what was going on in his head. They weren't related, so why was he helping her? Did he have some ulterior motive?
