C7 Surprised! the Ancient Seal!
Upon hearing this, Xueling froze, wondering just how much stronger this person was compared to her. He had appeared several times without her noticing.
"So, what’s your point?" Xueling asked, clenching her fists and taking a deep breath.
Chu Yuan looked directly at Xueling, speaking deliberately, "Clearly, you're just a weak woman, yet you can easily handle two grown men. Supposedly useless, but with an ancient seal in your mind. Don’t you find that intriguing?"
"Not really," Xueling replied irritably, then caught the key point in Chu Yuan's words. "An ancient seal? What’s that?"
"So, you don’t even know about the seal yourself? If that's the case, why should I tell you?" Chu Yuan leisurely poured himself a glass of water, took a sip, and then set it down with a grimace. "This tea is awful. How do you drink this every day?"
Xueling ignored the latter part of Chu Yuan's comment and responded, "If I remember correctly, it was you who showed up first, you who decided to check my condition, and you who followed me here without a word. Now you want to negotiate with me? Isn’t that a bit ridiculous?"
"You may not talk much, but you’re quite sharp," Chu Yuan remarked, his eyes flashing. Just as he was about to reveal the truth, Xueling interrupted him.
"Hold on a moment, Your Highness. Suddenly, I'm not so curious about this seal anymore. Maybe you should save your breath," Soong Xueling said, sitting across from Chu Yuan, resting her chin in her hand.
Chu Yuan was momentarily taken aback but couldn't help but chuckle. This girl had quickly turned his own tactics against him, and instead of feeling annoyed, he found her increasingly intriguing. When did he become so patient?
"So, what would it take for Third Miss Soong to let me finish what I have to say?" Chu Yuan asked, as if coaxing a child.
Soong Xueling promptly replied, "What exactly does Your Highness want from me?"
This simple question made Chu Yuan realize that she wasn't just interesting; she was calm, sharp, wise, and cautious.
To say he had no ulterior motives would be a lie, even to himself. But if asked what his true intentions were, he found it difficult to articulate.
Was it for the seal within her, which he wasn't sure could be broken or even useful? If that were the case, he wouldn't have personally invested the effort to follow her here. So, what was it really? For the first time, the Peaceful Purity King faced a puzzle he couldn't easily solve.
"I'm just very interested in the seal inside you, that's all," Chu Yuan lied smoothly.
Soong Xueling actually believed it because, aside from the seal, she couldn't think of anything else about her that would interest the Peaceful Purity King.
"I'm ready to hear you out now," Soong Xueling said, looking directly at Chu Yuan.
Under her gaze, Chu Yuan inexplicably felt a bit guilty and looked away. "Honestly, regarding the seal on you, I can only tell it's an ancient one. As for how to break it or what's actually sealed, I'm still trying to figure that out."
Soong Xueling felt a bit exasperated. Wasn't this just stating the obvious? She knew more than he did. At least she could guess that the seal was related to psychic force, and she suspected it might be sealing a massive amount of it.
Speaking of psychic force, from what she gathered from memories, this world revered martial strength, with people's abilities divided into five elemental forces: metal, wood, water, fire, and earth. Most people had a single element, while only a rare few possessed dual or even multiple elements.
Yet, in those memories, there was no mention of psychic force. Was her investigation not thorough enough, or did the memories truly lack any knowledge of it? Or perhaps psychic force didn't exist in this world at all?
But if that were true, then what was the psychic force in her mind all about?
