C3 Twin Martial Spirits

Super Martial Spirit, the Icy Jade Emperor Scorpion!

Ye Cann was rooted to the spot in shock. He could hardly believe that after the system had granted him the dark Bluesilver Grass Super Martial Spirit, it would bestow upon him yet another, even more formidable spirit—the Icy Jade Scorpion!

This mighty Soul Beast hailed from the frigid northernmost region, esteemed as one of the three great species of the extreme north.

The northernmost region was a sanctuary for ice and snow attribute Soul Beasts, a stark contrast to the Star Dou Great Forest. Here, the Soul Beasts were spared from human predation, a harsh realm where only those with ice or snow attributes could survive.

Unlike the Star Dou Great Forest, the diverse Soul Beast groups of the northernmost region would cease their infighting at the first sign of human presence, uniting to eliminate the intruders.

It was truly the Super Martial Spirit, the Icy Jade Emperor Scorpion!

"System, I choose to slay the ten-year Wind Baboon!"

"You've selected option one. Reward obtained: Super Martial Spirit, the Icy Jade Emperor Scorpion!"

"System Alert: You must hunt down the ten-year Wind Baboon within 24 hours, or the system will terminate you!"

Ye Cann felt a profound sense of injustice as a piercing cold aura began to emanate from his feet. The Icy Jade Emperor Scorpion was a legendary Soul Beast of extreme caliber, one that nearly no Human Soul Master could awaken as their Martial Spirit.

It was only after Ye Cann's initial Martial Spirit Awakening that he grasped why no Human Soul Master had ever managed to awaken the Icy Jade Scorpion Martial Spirit.

The severe cold of the ice attribute inflicted excruciating pain upon Ye Cann. Despite his training as a special agent, he couldn't muster his formidable mental fortitude to withstand the agony.

In that moment, Ye Cann might as well have been in a minus fifty-degree environment. His entire body shivered uncontrollably, his breath crystallizing into ice. His blood appeared to freeze, his muscles and bones enduring a relentless trial by ice and fire, tearing and fusing over and over.

Bit by bit, Ye Cann lost all sensation—pain, warmth, physical awareness, and the capacity for movement.

Was this where he was going to perish?

Ye Cann couldn't fathom why, after his transmigration, he would meet his end amidst the very rewards the system had presented him.

"Host's body is undergoing severe changes, and vital signs are unstable. Alert: Host may now open the Novice Gift Pack!"

Novice Gift Pack?

Ye Cann clung to it like a lifeline. He could have accessed the gift pack after his initial choice, but Yu Tianlang hadn't given him the chance to open it.

"Congratulations, Host, for opening the Novice Gift Pack. You've received the bloodline: Ancient Saint Body! A Seventh Level Soul Tool: Sword of Judgment! And a Title Douluo Experience Card x1!"

Ancient Saint Body!

It's one of the mightiest bloodlines in the Shrouded World, capable of earth-shattering feats, demanding vast resources for each breakthrough.

As the Ancient Saint Body assimilated into Ye Cann, the piercing chill from the Icy Jade Emperor Scorpion Martial Spirit began to recede. The scorching blood of the Ancient Saint Body surged through his veins and muscles, unleashing a dazzling radiance within him.

Martial Spirit Fusion!

"Is this what Soul Power feels like?"

Ye Cann's eyes fluttered open, feeling an extraordinary power coursing through him—the Soul Power of Douluo Continent.

His skin, once dark, now gleamed like flawless white jade after merging with both the Icy Jade Emperor Scorpion and the Ancient Saint Body. His pale hands radiated a fearsome icy aura, the ultimate chill of the Icy Jade Emperor Scorpion Martial Spirit.

Yu Tianlang would be astounded to see Ye Cann now.

This was the Marrow Cleansing Scripture!

On Douluo Continent, only ancient sects knew this technique, and not even his own sect offered its disciples such an experience.

Host: Ye Cann

Unaware of the transformation, the Wind Baboon continued its task, its sharp claws slicing through the canine Soul Beast, fresh blood clinging to its bared fangs.

On the outskirts of the Star Dou Great Forest, a man clad in a black trench coat abruptly looked up. His swift pace came to a halt as the yellow puppy perched on his shoulder bared its teeth and barked furiously at the sky, as though it had sensed an unspeakable horror.

"Teacher, are you alright? Did you find a formidable Soul Beast? Old Jack told me that the Star Dou Great Forest is the most treacherous place in the Douluo Continent. Perhaps we should find a safer location to hunt for my first Soul Ring," a boy in a blue uniform, with blue eyes and black hair, suggested from behind the middle-aged man, his youthful face etched with concern.

"San, it looks like our quest for the Soul Ring will have to be postponed," the middle-aged man replied tensely. "My Martial Spirit, Luo Sanpao, just detected a dreadful presence awakening within the forest. The Star Dou Great Forest won't be tranquil for some time."

"I'll follow your lead," the boy known as San responded softly.

"Stay close to me! Nowhere is safer than the outskirts of the Star Dou Great Forest," the man assured, taking the boy's arm and dashing northwest like a comet.

Meanwhile, a deep roar echoed from the heart of the Star Dou Great Forest.

"Soul Beasts from the northernmost region? You dare to intrude upon our Soul Beast realm!"

Yu Tianlang, who had been crafting weapons in his courtyard, recognized the significance of that roar immediately. He had lived in the Star Dou Great Forest for a decade and knew it was a dire warning from the forest's ruler. Typically, any Soul Master hearing such a roar would hasten to leave the forest's perimeter within half an hour.

"Who has stirred this fearsome being? Could it be an agent of the Martial Soul Hall?" he wondered.

As Yu Tianlang hurried toward Ye Cann's location, Ye Cann extracted a rusted dagger and stealthily positioned himself. He was poised to hunt the decade-old Soul Beast, the Wind Baboon.
