C4 Goodbye to Old Friends
Just as Xiaonan was about to give chase, she stopped in her tracks.
Yin Xiaonan, what are you doing? How could that man be here? This was A city, and it was still a hundred thousand miles away from the S city that he lived in!
And what could he do? Could it be that you can really chase after him without caring about anything else? Not four years ago, and not four years later!
Yin Xiaonan finished the water and floated back to the ward. She was still out of sorts.
"Your fever is almost gone. Do you still feel nauseous?"
As soon as Yin Xiaonan stepped into the ward, an unreal male bass voice entered her ear as bland as water.
The familiar tone was like an illusion, causing her chest to suddenly stifle. It was as if something had smashed into that place, causing her to be unable to breath for a moment.
"There's no need to be nauseous." On the bed, Yin Siruo smiled and seriously answered the doctor's question. She glanced over and saw Yin Xiaonan standing at the door, "Sis, why are you standing there? Why didn't you come in? "
Jing Yixuan, who was busy checking Yin Siruo's body, bent over and focused on checking her eyes, "Where's her head? Are you still unconscious? "
"A little." Yin Siruo nodded.
Seeing Yin Xiaonan staring at Jing Yixuan's back from the door, Yin Siruo jokingly shouted again, "Sis, what are you doing? Why are you staring at Dr. Jing all the time? "
Jing Yixuan still did not turn around until Xiaonan's voice came from behind him, "Siruo, are you thirsty? I'll get you some water. "
Jing Yixuan seemed to be stunned for a second. He turned around and saw Yin Xiaonan at the door.
The two pairs of eyes met without any warning. Their eagle-like black pupils made Xiaonan stop breathing for a second, and in that instant, it was as if all the blood vessels in her body condensed into stone.
She never thought that there would be a day she and Jing Yixuan would meet again!
Compared to her fluctuating mood, Jing Yixuan was much calmer.
His startled expression only briefly passed through his deep eyes before it quickly returned to normal.
If she appeared, he wouldn't be able to shake her at all.
Or perhaps, Yin Xiaonan, after four years, was just a stranger with no special meaning to him.
"The family of Yin Siruo's patient?"
His deep voice was like the deep sound of a cello. It was so deep that it was pleasant to listen to.
"Yes." Xiaonan nodded, her hand holding the kettle trembling with nervousness. "I'm her elder sister."
Jing Yixuan turned his head and bent over to continue the basic examination for Yin Siruo. "The patient might need to stay in the hospital for more than a few days to observe. You should pay more attention and find me if there's any nausea."
"Okay, thanks."
Xiaonan's mood was still unstable. She walked over to the table and poured water for her sister.
"Sis, he's the Dr. Jing that I told you about, my doctor, Jing Yixuan!" Yin Siruo kept winking at Yin Xiaonan.
Xiaonan's hand, which was holding the kettle, suddenly moved. Boiling hot water spilled out onto the back of her hand, making her cry out in a low voice.
Instantly, the back of his hand began to burn.
She quickly hid her right hand behind her back and lowered her head to pour more tea. However, she suddenly felt a chill at the back of her hand and her right hand was held by someone.
It was Jing Yixuan.
Xiaonan's entire body tensed up as she subconsciously wanted to break free from his imprisonment, but she discovered that his strength made it impossible for her to resist.
"The burns weren't too bad. I just had a few blisters and some scalding cream."
Perhaps these were just the doctor's instinctual reactions, because in the depths of his deep eyes, Xiaonan didn't even notice a trace of concern or worry.
He was still calm and indifferent, not cold or hot at all.
"Lin, bring Miss Yin to get some scalding cream." Jing Yixuan let go of her hand and turned around to instruct young nurse, who was waiting at the side.
After he finished speaking, he turned around and walked over to Yin Siruo. He bent down and took out the CT scan of her brain from under the bedsheet at the end of her bed, then carefully looked out the window at the sunlight for a while.
The golden sun shone through the parasol trees outside the window, its mottled screens falling into the ward. Jing Yixuan stood in the halo of light, his smooth face sharp and handsome, his dark, deep eyes adorned with a mesmerizing tint of sunlight. His thick brow, his high nose, and thin lips gave him an air of nobility and elegance.
"Miss Yin, let's go."
Nurse Lin urged Xiaonan.
"No need." Xiaonan refused with a slight smile. "It's just a small problem. I can solve it myself."
"It really isn't a big problem."
He put the CT image into a white plastic bag, then leisurely continued, "A slight burn is a small matter, but if you don't handle it properly, the bubbles will burst, the bacteria will infect you, and the injury inflammation will cause your body to heat up, causing a high fever that won't go away …" He paused and looked back at Xiaonan, his gaze falling on her face. "Think carefully. I'm afraid that by then, it won't be possible to solve all our problems with just a scalding plaster.
Xiaonan pursed her lips and looked at him.
An alarmist!
