C11 Chapter 11

KM'S MANSION.

Dan is in his study room, his eyes glued to the laptop. He sighed and tapped the laptop again.

Just then he remembered her words.

"Doc Dan, why are you so adamant. We can still save her. We all know that 70% of those who undergoes surgery don't come out alive"

"Aish! Why am I remembering that crazy girl" He thought and sighed. Almost immediately he remembered how she petted him in the elevator. How she cried and he scoffed.

"I thought she hates me, why didn't she leave me?" He said coldly and sipped from his coffee.

All of a sudden, the door to his study opened revealing Ethan with a pot of noodles.

'Bro, come let's eat" He said with a smile.

"I'm not hungry and could you get that darn filthy food out of my office" He said and Ethan smiled and walked closer to him. He placed it on the table with a wink .

"You can't get mad at me, brother', that's how much you love me" He said and started eating ravishingly from the pot while Dan watched in awe.

"Hm, who is that beautiful girl you were holding earlier?" Ethan asked with his mouth full and Dan sighed.

He knew if he didn't tell him. There would be trouble because he is trouble.

"She's Doc Melanie " He said and Ethan grinned mischievously.

"What's with that evil grin?" Dan asked with his brows arched.

"She is beautiful" He said.

"Don't you find her beautiful?" He asked but Dan didn't reply. He seemed to be in thoughts.

"What do you give a person when you want to say " Thank you" to?" He asked and Ethan almost choked on his food.

*Is he crazy or what? What has come over him? Or could it perhaps be that beautiful lady?" He thought.

"Will you answer?" He said coldly and stood up and Ethan smiled mischievously.

"I'm just surprised that this is coming from you?" Ethan said.

"Tell me, is it that beautiful doctor?" He asked and winked at Dan.

"Come on, be serious for once.." Dan groaned and Ethan smiled.

"Hm, don't you know?" He asked and Dan sighed as he went through his shelf looking for a book.

"If I knew would I bother asking you?" He said.

"Okay, fine. You have to buy her a special flower with a unique scent.." He said and Dan turned back immediately.

"Is there any need for that?" He asked his eyes gleaming.

"Yes, I mean if you want her to accept your appreciation" Ethan said with a shrug, smirking inwardly .

"Okay go on" Dan said.

"Then on the card, you write a good word and I mean a good word not a grumpy word, like thank you, it means a lot to me" He said and Dan sighed.

"I can't do all that!" Dan argued.

"Well then, don't even bother on saying thank you" Ethan said with a shrug.

"Fine.." Dan snapped and walked upstairs.

The next day.

Melanie smiled as she fixed her hair. She woke up earlier today.

Thank goodness she wasn't late.

Chelsea hummed and came out of the bathroom with a towel tied on her chest and her hair dripping wet.

She looked at Melanie in awe. She wasn't late today and she was looking unusually beautiful. Her hair was tied to a bun, her face had simple but elegant makeup on. Her lips were dripping in hot pink lipstick. She smacked her lips together and turned to face Chelsea.

"Do I look good?" She asked Chelsea who blinked repeatedly.

"Wow! You're looking ravishingly beautiful. You look like a beautiful doctor" She said and Melanie rolled her eyes.

"Are you tryna say I'm not beautiful?" She said and made to hit her.

"Why do I have this feeling that you're looking beautiful for your bossy boss" She said winking at her and Melanie glared at her.

"Just thank your goodness that I am in a hurry to leave" She said and Chelsea chuckled.

LEE KIM's HOSPITAL.

Dan sighed and he checked the wristwatch as he walked in earning stares and giggles from the ladies.

"Gosh he's so handsome. Look at those cute black eyes"

"Oh my! He's holding a bunch of flowers"

"They look so beautiful!"

"Awwn, who is the lucky girl?"

"I wish to be in her shoes"

Dan sighed and stopped. As expected he knew that she would be late as usual.

*What the hell is keeping her?" * He thought and sighed again.

He inhaled the scent of the flowers and sighed.

"Is this really necessary?" He thought. He was about walking in, but then he suddenly turned back and he saw her approaching. She looked kinda different and more beautiful today.

Unconsciously, a low gasp escaped his lips. His eyes feasted on hers for few seconds before he suddenly looked away. Melanie on the other hand was equally receiving good comments and as well hateful comments from her co ladies.

She looked up and saw Doc Dan and a smile almost escaped her lips but she didn't smile. She noticed that he was holding a bunch of flowers. Roses to be precise and she loved roses .

She stopped on her tracks when she noticed that he was coming toward her.

"Was he going to give those to her?" She thought blinking her eyes repeatedly as he walked towards her.
