C15 Chapter 15

Huh? But why?" She asked. She slightly felt bad for him and right now he looked terribly sad. She wanted to lighten his mood.

She stood up and held his hands he looked at her in surprise.

"What are you doing?" He asked her.

"Come on, let's just go" She said with a bright smile and he reluctantly stood up. His eyes still on her, seeing her smile surprisingly made his mood lighten.

"You look good when you smile" He told her and she scoffed. They both walked out of the coffee store hand in hand glancing at everyone who was busy with their daily routine.

"Pardon me but don't you have any work doing?" He asked and Chelsea chuckled.

"I did but I quit it. It's far from my home and I always miss my best friend when I am there" She said and he paused.

"A guy???"

Chelsea averted his gaze towards him and chuckled.

"No, not a guy but she's like my best sister in the world . No one can ever take her place" She said and he smiled.

"Just like my brother, no one can take his place in my life never" He said and she smiled.

"What about you? Don't you have a job doing?" She asked.

"I'm actually the CEO of the famous Cosmetics company here in south Korea. You know that brand" Joy La la.."

Chelsea gasped and covered her mouth with her left palm.

"I so much love that brand. It made my skin glow. It's only my bestie that doesn't like that brand though she likes your other products" Chelsea said with an eye roll.

"Well, everyone can't like our brand. I'm sure that your best friend is unique" He said and Chelsea nodded.

"Do you plan on looking for job or so you mind working for me. I can give a job as my personal assistant" He said winking at her as he fondled with her hair while she pushed him off.

"Thanks but no thanks, I'm actually resuming in a hotel as the chief hotelier gracefully by next week and besides I would not work in your company so you won't be able to flirt with me" She said jokingly.

[ ] "I won't.." His voice trailed off when he saw two young boys pedaling a bicycle running towards Chelsea with a great speed but she was too engrossed in her talks to see it.

[ ] He quickly grabbed her by her waist and pulled her safely to the other side.

[ ] Chelsea's heart skipped a bit feeling his hand on her waist.

She looked at him and found him staring at her. Awkwardly she quickly created distance between themselves.

"Thank you...." She said and started to walk away and Ethan suddenly laughed. He hurriedly walked towards her and blinked their hands together making her heart skip a beat again.

*What the hell is wrong with me* She thought.

"Come on, Let's go" He said and playfully pinched her cheeks .

It was 9pm in the night and Melanie was done with her shift for the day. She grabbed her stuffs and her car keys. Her phone rang . It was Chelsea calling and she immediately picked up as she headed to the parking lot

"Missing me?" She asked.

"Hmm, I just wanted to tell you that you won't meet me at home today because I will be coming home late. I'm out with a friend" Chelsea said.

"Hmmn, a girl or a boy???"

"Oh Really!Do you need to ask that question? Any ways bye, Love you She said and hung up immediately. She's making me jealous. I don't have time for those stuff

"That silly bitch" Melanie muttered with a smile. She suddenly halted when she saw someone using a tricky method trying to open her car.

Without thinking twice even though she ran towards and started hitting him on the back with her bag.

"You thief!

""What are you trying to steal from me?"

"Just you wait, I will report you to the guards" She said and brought out her hand phone but the thief immediately grabbed her and brought out a pen knife from his pocket pointing it at her neck while she shivered in fear.

"W,,, What a,,, are you doing? Let me go!" She yelled and the man pointed the knife to her eyes.

'I will stab you in the eyes" He threatened and she kept mute as tears rolled from her face. Suddenly Dan came into the scene, he was surprised seeing what was happening.

"What are you doing here?" The thief asked as Melanie shook her head with fear and in tears.

"I don't understand what's going on but leave her. Just leave her. You're a burglar right. Don't worry I will give you my car keys. You can take it" He said and brought the key out and the burglar smirked but didn't release Melanie yet.

"Let her go" Dan said with a sigh. The burglar grip slowly loosened and seeing that as an opportunity, Melanie bit his hand and ran away from him while he groaned.

He was about to run off but Dan immediately ran towards him and he grabbed him by the collar and punched him hard on the lips, he gave him series of beating that he learnt .

The burglar fell down in his pool of blood.

Dan sighed and called the security immediately. They came over and they arrested the burglar. As soon as they left. Melanie jumped into Dan's arms leaving hands leaving him surprised.

He stood shocked unable to comprehend what to do.
