C20 Chapter 20

What?! Are you crazy?!" Dan yelled at him this time.

"What the hell are you talking about?" He yelled again and Ethan sighed, breathing aggressively.

Ethan moved back and ran his hands into his hair.

"What happened to her? How on earth did she get cancer?" He said and Dan Dan looked at him confused.

He walked closer to him and patted him lightly on the shoulder.

"What's wrong? I'm confused here? I don't understand, how do you know Rose?" He asked this time softly.

"She,,,, She's my ex girlfriend. She is the girl who broke up with me." He said and Dan sighed.

"Calm down, just calm down.." He said and they both sat on the couch.

"She's your ex, you mean you dated Rose. I don't understand this. it's confusing" Dan said with creased brows.

"We broke up recently if not you would have met her.." Ethan said and ran his hands into his hair again.

"She broke up with me without a valid reason.." He said and Dan sighed and patted his right shoulder. He had never seen Ethan this broken.

Suddenly he looked at Dan.

"Is she gonna die? Huh?" He asked his eyes wide opened.

Dan sighed again and then spoke.

"With hope, she can survive once we start our treatment on her" He said and Ethan chuckled dryly.

"What the hell was wrong with him? I acted way out of line?" He thought.

"Can I go see her tomorrow?" He asked Dan

The next day.

"Come on Chels, you can't be here. I told you that my boss will get angry" Melanie said to Chelsea. Chelsea was off duty today at work and she insisted on coming with Melanie to just see her boss. They were still both in the car.

Melanie sighed and faced Chelsea.

"Come on,,,..." She stopped talking when she heard Chelsea squeal. She looked at her and then looked at the direction in which she(Chelsea) was looking at. There was Dan walking in with someone - a guy. Though the person wore a face cap which made it hard to see his face.

"He's your boss.." She said pointing at him.

"Gosh! He's so cute! Damn handsome!" She said and Melanie shook her head.

"She's got a crazy friend..."

"Now tell me, how can you not fall on love with that guy. I mean he's cute" Chels said with an eye roll.

"Yeah and his attitude sucks!" Melanie said with an eye roll.

"I will be right back, don't you dare come out of the car!" She said and opened the car's door and walked out.

Chelsea sighed.

"At least she got to see her boss that's the main thing"

She brought out her phone and checked her messages, Ethan was yet to reply her messages since last night.

The door to Rose's room swung open and Dan came in. Rose was seated in the bed with an headset on her head listening to music.

Her love for music never diminished despite her illness after all she is a singer.

She smiled immediately noticing Dan and removed her headset.

"Doc Dan..." She called. Dan smiled and nodded.

"Someone is here to see you" He said and Rose furrowed her brows.

"Wh....?" She was asking when Ethan came into view and she gasped. Tears were beginning to form in her eyes

"What are you doing here? I though I told you that we are over? I don't love you anymore dim wit?!" She yelled with pain in her heart.

Ethan sighed and moved closer to her before pulling her into a tight hug and Tears fell from Rose's eyes. She missed him, she missed him so much. She missed damn so much.

She pulled away from the hug aggressively.

"I asked what are you doing here?" She asked in the meanest tone ever. Just the door open and Melanie walked in with smiles but stopped noticing the tense area.

"Mi...so.." He called her. That was her Korean name and the name he always called her.

"Why didn't you tell me?" He whispered and she shook her head.

"You know why because I hate you? I damn hate you? Get away from me!" She yelled with tears and pushed him. Only she knows what she is going through. The guy she loves so much was standing right in front of her but she couldn't do anything. She doesn't want him affected.. she doesn't want him burdened by her.

"We broke a month ago and I told you that I don't want to see you again.."

Melanie paused.

"Yes she told her that she broke up with her boyfriend but it was for the sake of her illness and Dan's brother was her boyfriend. But why's Rose pushing him away?" She thought.

"Shut up! Shut the hell up! Do you know how heartbroken I was to find out that you had cancer. I was so heartbroken and I came here running to you and you are still pushing me away Mi...so!!!" He yelled angrily and Rose was surprised. She had never seen him this angry before.

"You know what I don't care! If you live or die, it's none of my business! And now you know what, I will turn my back on you and stop loving lue a fool. I can't be the fool here!" " He yelled and flung the door open and walked out angrily and Rose bursted into tears while Melanie rushed up to her.

She immediately texted Chelsea to go home cause she wasn't available.

Dan sighed. Leaving Ethan alone now was the best thing to do. When's he angry, no one could control his anger not even him.

Ethan walked out angrily balling his fists as he did. He remembered her hurtful words and he felt like yelling and shouting at the whole world.

Chelsea sighed immediately she saw Mel's message. She knew Doctors always had emergency. She opened the car's door and came out.

She suddenly missed her parents especially her Dad but no way she's going there.

She looked up suddenly and saw the person she never expected to see.

"What's he doing here? Is he sick?" She thought. He was a few inches away from her but he was backing her so he couldn't see her.

Chelsea ran towards him smiling. She tapped him lightly on his shoulder. Ethan growled angrily and turned back catching her hand in the process. His eyes dilated in shock when he saw her.

"Chelsea..." Hs called before pulling her into a tight hug.
