why is he suddenly smiling like this?" She thought as she stared at him.

"Hmmn, Ethan are you okay?" She asked and he immediately looked up and nodded with a smile.

"Who are you texting?" She asked looking at him Curiously.

"A very special friend to me.." He replied and Rose lokked at him more Curiously.

"I would love you to meet her and I am sure that she would be glad to meet you too.." Ethan said.

"Yeah, I would love to meet her too.." Rose said with a smile.

Just then the door opened and Melanie walked in and smiled seeing Rose's face so happy. She was also glad that she was eating. it was a great sign of improvement and she was really glad to see her face glowing.

"Rose, do you feel better after the chemotherapy session?" She asked with a wide smile

"Hmmn, I feel so much better and stronger..." Rose said and nodded still smiling.

"And also I'm thankful that Ethan is here, he helped through the difficult times.." Rose said with a smile looking at Ethan.

"Thank you..." She whispered to Ethan who nodded.

"For not leaving me despite my tantrums.." She said with a light chuckle and Ethan chuckled also.

"You were always stubborn Mi .. so, that is why no matter how much you push me away, I would never think of leaving you during this difficult times of your.." Ethan said and flicked her nose whe she laughed.

And Melanie smiled watching them playing happily. She cleared her throat and they both turned to look at her.

"Doc Dan will be here any minute. We need to perform another test on you again" She said and Rose nodded.

"Just be strong Rose and don't give up, I'm sure you will survive thi.." Melanie said and patted her right shoulder.

"Thanks a lot Melanie, you are more like a sis than a doctor to me and I'm really grateful for that!" Rose said with smiles and Melanie hugged her.

"I'm just glad that you are happy, always be this happy.." Melanie said and then pulled away from the hug with smiles.

Just then her phone rang, It was Chelsea.

It was unlikely of Chelsea to call her during her working hours.

She immediately ended the call and simultaneously Dan walked in. Her heart started beating fast immediately she remembered what happened earlier. They almost kissed, their lips almost touched.

Melanie sighed and closed her eyes.

And she couldn't even believe that she wanted to kiss him that badly. That was the irony.

Their eyes met but she quickly looked away to calm her raging heart.

"What the hell is wrong with me? I think I'm beginning to lose my cool. Anytime I see him, it's like my head goes blank. Some thing must be wrong with me?" She thought.

Chelsea's call came in again and she was forced to answer it.

"Excuse me..." She said avoiding Dan's gaze which was already piercing into her body.

"Chels....." She said as she picked up the call.

"Are you okay? You have been calling me repeatedly? is some thing the matter?"

"Chill babe, I have got good news for you.."

"What? what news?" Melanie asked and furrowed her brows.

"I'm sure you will like it when you hear it?" Chelsea said and Melanie rolled her eyes.

"Seriously, will you tell me? I'm beginning to lose cool here?" Melanie said impatiently.

"Fine then but don't be too shocked.." She said and Melanie's Melanie's Curiousity increased the more.

"You know I have a friend of mine whose brother is still single. He's the assistant to the CEO of a very big company here in Korea "

"So?" Melanie asked and but her lower lip hoping Chelsea did not do what she's thinking of.

"He saw your pics on my phone and said he likes you so i helped you fix a blind date with him. I thought you would like it..' Clelsea said and Melanie groaned.

"What? Gosh!"

"What the hell?!" Melanie exclaimed.

"You fixed my blind date with him! Come on Chels!" She said so loudly that they all turned to her.

Dan's eyes immediately fell on her when he heard her speak.

Melanie bit gee lower lip when she just realised what she did. she turned back and faced them.

"I'm so so sorry, I'm really sorry.."She said with a pleading look and turned back to continue talking to Chelsea.

"Come Mel, just do it. You're not getting any younger and sooner or later, you would have a boyfriend so why not now?" Chelsea said.

"No, Chels, I'm not interested in any way.." Melanie said.

"And why? why wouldn't you be interested? Chelsea asked and Melanie sighed.

"Or don't tell me that it's about your boss? you like him right?" Chelsea asked again and her eyes widened immediately.

"No, no, of course not.." She said.

Melanie sighed and shook her head.

"Okay fine Chels, I'll go. Happy now" She said and unknowingly to her, Dan's face changed immediately and he found himself clenching his fists, struggling to hold the anger inside of him.

He didn't know why he was so suddenly angry upon hearing that she wants to go on a blind date.

"Will you hang up now and face your work?!" He yelled angrily and Melanie faced him and then hung up.
